On my Pfaff, the foot pedal let down the presser foot, so I didn't need it, it is still strange that it came with one. I am getting used to it on the Juki, which I am loving.

I read AskMoxie while pregnant (still do occasionally) and I like Free Range Parenting. I have not read the book that you have, but I've heard of it and I feel it's all you need. So much is trial and error, but sometimes, you do get good ideas from others, which is where Moxie is handy.
