Yes! Hope you find it useful.
And yes, this makes a lot of sense. Comforting womb-like space...that may be good for my writing! :) I'm going to try that.
Thanks for your comment!
High ceilings and high hopes
I just finished reading an interesting book by Scott Belsky that helped me to re-think the ways in which I work. I definitely recommend it if you like to reflect on your own systems. One idea that I found fascinating was that you should choose a space depending on the kind of work you want ...

Thanks Amanda! Great suggestion. I actually read Didion's book a while ago but it may be a good idea to go back to it. Thanks for your kind words!

Nice! Yes, maybe the wall would help me. I tried with cushions, but no wall.
Also, one of my teachers is having me do forearm push-ups to build my arm strength. Basically, you do plank on your forearms and then move your body into downward dog, still with your forearms on the floor. So your arms don't move, but your body goes from plank to downward dog and back again. I think it's working (since I can't lift my arms after a couple of sets of them). We will keep trying! :)
To be a guru
At the present time, I cannot do a headstand in my yoga practice.Whenever I remove bobby pin and ponytail holder and place the top of my head on the smooth wooden floor of the dimly lit classroom, forearms bracing, it feels like the weight of my body will surely accordion my neck like a used...
Thank you, Natalia! Yes, as scary as it is at times, it always feels like the right thing. Thanks for reading!
What me, vulnerable?
It has been nearly two months since I left my full-time job to start out on my own - consulting non-profits and educational orgs, and building my own organization, Swirl. As I embarked on this new phase of my life, I reflected to a friend that this would be the kind of change that would bring ...
