ooh... I think I actually have some vintage hem lace hanging around somewhere... hadn't thought of that. I'm thinking a narrow hem would work okay for this summer, but I'd like for it to fit her next year too... No fabric left over though, I got the top and a raglan sleeve dress out of 1 yard lol.

Well, My camera's working again...
And so I give you- The MASSIVE Update. Patchwork dress for my daughter using some stashed quilting charm packs that I bought several months ago just because they were pretty... now they have a purpose :D Unfortunately the bodice came out about two sizes too big so it may have to wait for next...
Yeah, The texture changed dramatically when I washed it... It was a stiff smooth taffeta type I think, now it's softer, drapes wonderfully, and has a permanent crinkle. I'm totally in love with it!
