I will bring you some dice for a bottle :-)
Ryan and I totally made this.
It's our beer! Click to embiggen at imgur Today, at long last, the beer Ryan and I made together was ready to drink. We got on the phone and opened our first bottles together .... and it totally tastes like beer! It's sort of a slightly-hoppier version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which is pre...
Will you be selling any of your brew at Pax Prime this weekend? I will bring you shiny gold rocks for a bottle!

Good cause recommended by awesomely good person, Wil Wheaton. Donated. Done.
Help me help Safecast help people in Japan
This morning, my friend Sean Bonner e-mailed me this: As you may or may not know I’ve spent the vast majority of the last month either in Tokyo or working with people in Japan on project I helped start called Safecast. Actually we just changed the name to Safecast, until last week it was called...
I was going to say that reading reviews was only about 10% of my decision making process. The other 90% would be word of mouth by my friends and known non-biased, and particularly awesome geek bloggers like Wil Wheaton.
But after reading Joe's post, I feel a little better knowing that he believes it's not a completely corrupt system. I'm still wary, but his opinion does carry some weight. That being said, as any PR or marketing person will tell you, word of mouth by trusted sources is the absolute best opinions to get.
on video game reviews and the power and influence of marketing
I came across this post at No High Scores yesterday. It's about how mega publishers are starting to limit access to the media in terms of review copies, overall access, as well as in potential ad money. There are a lot of great things about working in the games industry. You know what the bes...
Did they set a date for Eureka to return this summer? We're dyin' here :-)
it's like winning the actor lottery
When we're on location for Eureka, Felicia Day is like my best friend and my younger sister, all at once. We give each other shit all day long, we hang out when we're not working, and we lean on each other when we have those days all artists have that make us question why we thought we could do ...
I was there last night as well and I had a fantastic time. The audience at your shows are always very friendly and very fond of you and Paul & Storm.
There was a couple behind me where the guy was trying to explain the makeup of the crowd and what a 'meme' was to his female partner. She didn't quite understand, but once the show started she laughed hysterically the entire show.
I look forward to your next LA performance!
in which i am grateful
Los Angeles totally turned out for our show at Largo last night. I think the house was about 80% full, which is incredible for a show on a Tuesday, anywhere, but expecially in Hollywood. We all had a great time, and the new material I did with Paul and Storm seemed to play as well as we hoped it...
Want!
here i dreamt i was an architect
My brain desperately wants to write some stories, so I've been digging through the pile of Ideas That Didn't Quite Make It to see if anything in there inspires me, or is at least worth dusting off and poking with a sharp stick. So far, two stories look promising, though one of them needs a fairl...
Wil, I very much look forward to the day when I finish the last word on the last page of your first full length fiction novel and I get to put it on my bookshelf next to my other favorites by Neil Gaiman and John Scalzi.
in a sea black with ink
The greatest reward I can receive as a writer is the knowledge that something I wrote affected someone who read it. Earlier today, a HUNTER reader e-mailed the following: I'd like to make a request: Please don't make it so dark next time. I know just how foolish it is to "make a request" about ...
