This is a outstanding idea. While I sympathize people commenting that we need to get the city budget in order before we spend even more I make the argument that Lake Front is the best thing Chicago has going for it now. Making improvements, keeping it clean and safe will pay dividends now and into the future. We as a city, as a state and as a country can not get ourselves out of this mess by stopping and standing still, or as some suggest moving backwards. We have to work our way out of this mess, cut here, grow there and police ourselves to end the corruption that poisons us all.
