first thank you for all you who email me and ask me what my new blog is or just to say hi and to see how things are going, you are so sweet! my new blog is blessings and blossoms and there were several reasons to make a change, I can't stand the thought of losing everything on here but since I have been making some changes in my life, both my doing and some not my doing, I thought it was a good time to start fresh, plus typepad charges a fee and blogger is free, which you know... oh Tasha! we are meant to be friends! First, I am so happy for you to have such a great handful of babies :)and Ava is just precious!!! Second, I can relate to your panic/anxiety attacks, I know what it feels like to feel like you are suffocating and freak out! I had a TIA (a mini stroke) 3 years ago this month, and I developed those breathing issues, I *KNOW* you understand because how you worded what you wrote, no one really *gets* my breathing issues, I was also like you, not wanting to take anything, I thought it was being weak submitting to those drugs, after seeing my cardiologist and him convincing me to try them just temporarily, I did, and they worked, It has taken me almost 2 1/2 - 3 years to work through those breathing scares and I do so much better now, do I take those pills every once in a great while? I sure do, and I still have a few pills *just in case* but overall I am doing really good. HUGS to you sweetie! (I guess I should have just emailed you regarding this! LOL)

once again it's Friday to share my Friday sew & tell over at amylouwho finished project! Thanks for all the love you all shared last week! I am sharing a quilt that I started months ago, way before I got my new Bernina 630, I got the idea from Amanda at Crazy Mom Quilts) ragged edge quilt, I made it fairly small at first, just like she did on her blog, but as soon as Jim saw this quilt being made, he kept saying "make it bigger!" The quilting on this quilt was a son of a gun with all... Continue reading

I woke up to a very happy email from Quilt Home saying that I was the "link of the week" and that I won $20 gift certificate! I LOVE their shop, they always have the fastest shipping, seriously! I can order on Friday and I have my package in my hands on Monday, plus they ALWAYS write a nice handwritten note and they have fantastic fabrics! That definetly inspires a gal right? For those of you who inspire me.... Jim and Zach, well Jim bought me THE NICEST sewing machine (Bernina Artista 630) to support and continue my sewing and... Continue reading

Since I got my new machine, well not yesterday but hopefully later today.... :) Here is a couple of table runners I have done, I LOVE this first one, it's so bright and cheery and I love the outline quilting I did on it, I KNOW I will be doing a quilt version of this one. Here is one I started with my old machine that I never finished but now that I have the new machine I tried out my stippling with the stitch regulator, I have a lot to learn but not bad being my first time :)... It has been a good year, overall my family has been happy and healthy (even though I am going through a yucky cold right now) God has really blessed us and even when the times are tough and we each struggle, God is always good and I thank Him for that. This year we did alot more hunting than the year before, it really feels good to be doing what we love! Jim turned 48, I turned 40 and Zach turned 16 (yikes!) Jim worked a lot, he is a great provider and I love and appreciate him so much... Continue reading

Well, I finished my first ever college semester this past Thursday! aren't you proud of me?!! I am SO proud of myself, it's not easy starting college at 40 years old, but I loved every minute of it and learned so much! I have a few weeks off until I start ASL 102 in the middle of January! So being done with college, I can finally start focusing on what I need to get done around the house since I have slacked since starting school, it's nice now that I have almost 4 weeks off, Zach is on his two... no, not the movie, well kind of, since our cross country and track coach LOVES the movie True Grit and the kids on the cross country team have "True Grit" on some of their shirts and such and they usually have a pasta dinner and watch the movie True Grit sometime during the season but.... True Grit stands for Thankful, Reliable, Unyielding, Earnest, Gutsy, Respectful, Integrity and Tough. Zach received this award during the Cross Country Award ceremony! It's not an easy award to get either anyways, super proud of my son! He also got invited to go with the... Continue reading
