Pierce needs to retire a Celtic. I don't care if he starts to suck, have him come off the bench. He has given his all for this team, and his number needs to be retired in the rafters with the greats. He stuck with this team when they were mired in the mud, got us close with Toine, played great against the Lakers in L.A. and added another banner. If Ainge moves him, I'll no longer respect Danny - He made some great moves, but his track record isn't so good since the Perk debacle, and moving Pierce (I hope) would seal his fate. Move the old HOF geezers, or flip Rondo, but Paul needs to stay.

Always thought he will be a great 6th man, but not at $20 million. He has no fire. It's fine that he's getting older, but he doesn't have that crazyness anymore either. DONE, DUN DUN DUN, DOOOOOONE

Something is off? Yeah, father time has reared his ugly head.

Johnny Lawrence? (Cobra Kai reference) I haven't seen him play much, does he have any offensive skills/moves? Or is he a cleanup guy?

No offense taken, just a little panic mode, smith can put up 20 points on any given night and can be instant energy with a huge dunk or big 3. Plus could starter minutes a few games if/when Paul or Ray get nicked up. He has character issues but at this point I don't care, who is our bench wing? Sasha? I like Gerald Wallace too, not a big fan of chandler, I like both Kmart's, but we're not getting Kevin and don't really need Kenyon. David West would've been perfect in Green stayed healthy, but we don't have either now. Pierce is dinged, KG and Ray are older, Oneal is injury prone and Rondo could pout and isn't really an offensive threat, bench isn't really quality right now, Heat Bulls and Knicks looking pretty good right now, we need to make a decent move or blow it up in my opinion

Don't mean to hijack the post, but any chance we could get JR Smith out of china? Perfect wing 6th man for scoring off the bench. Pierce is already hurt, and we have no one who can get there own shot off the bench.

Are we better than the Heat, Bulls or New York (if they get a healthy Baron)? I don't think so, but better than the Pacers and 76ers, of course. The previous post about not getting David West is spot on. Where does our bench scoring come from? What happens when we lose one of the big 4 for a period of time, back to back to back games aren't going to help our lineup. Anyway we can trade for Dwight now?

Paul is a Clipper, now which L.A. team is better? Baron Davis just waived, would love to play in L.A. too? Oh and there's this: http://network.yardbarker.com/wwe/article_external/maria_menounos_is_a_wwe_diva_for_a_night/8718997

It's all good, plus we're keeping Oneal now, so we have some size inside. Oneal Bass Wilcox will be fine, just wish we had a little more scoring off the bench, maybe Green can prove he's worth 9 mil?

That's only a million less per year, why would he go to the Pacers over a contender?

KG may start at center, but I think there is a quick rotation of Wilcox/Bass into the lineup to help keep KG (and maybe West) fresh. Our defense is really help based, so against any real center (not many in the NBA) we can send an extra body. I still like a center by rotation lineup and keep KG at power forward.

It wouldn't be this year, so we wouldn't see the "Big 5", but next year when KG and Ray's contracts are up and we have some major cash. So if he's traded and doesn't sign an extension or stays in Orlando we would have a great shot at getting him. More like Rondo, Pierce, Howard, West and re-sign Ray, KG would probably have to go or take a major pay cut and reduced role.

Any way to snatch up Dalembert?

Wow, we get a great 6th man, add scoring off the bench and get KG some rest? And don't have to give up Green? This would be amazing and a much better deal than Rondo for Paul. Our bench squad would be: Dooling/Daniels in the back court, David West/Green at forward and whatever the center rotation will be... Wilcox/Bass/Stiemsma/JuJuan Johnson/and that d-leauge 10 day contract center Chris Johnson from last year? (I liked his game) This depth will really help us on the back to back to back games this season.

I so hope this trade goes through and Howard goes to the Nets, I will laugh my ass off at the certain Flaker Meltdown this year! HA HA HA!

Damn, I wanted the Lakers to end up losing 2 bigs. And I still want Rondo over Paul!

Nice signing, addressed an obvious need. Chandler going to New York hurts. Hope we can get a nice Big man or two. Sign and trades with Baby and Green?

Salaries have to match too. So maybe Bynum, Luke, multiple others, plus they don't have 1st round drafts? It may have to invole other teams? And it may leave their bench even thinner.

Oh crap! I forgot about Paul's whining. This team was already the worst at crying about every call against/not for them. Even dropping Sasha "I've never committed a foul" Vuabitch last year and the Llama this year, it's still going to be embarassing watching them grimace in pain after ever whistle they get. I just hope the refs stick to that technical foul rule for demonstrative displays against an official, OR the Metta World Peace will do his part to keep the harmony.

How does this make the Fakers better? Lost 2 bigs and now have 2 guards who love to dominate the ball. KoMe will still try to take over (even though those days are gone) and Paul will turn into a jump-shooter like Fisher. Not to mention they now have 3 starters with knee "issues", and no depth at the forward position: Artest/Barnes/Walton all love to take jumpers and don't bang in the post. No rebounding, no size on defense (Paul will be an upgrade over Fisher and his matador D), no depth *good luck with Dallas' bench again* and a new coach who won't know what to do when this team starts turning on each other. As a diehard Celtic fan in enemy territory, I can't wait for the MELTDOWN to begin. And it's a blessing in disguise since we won't lose Rondo. Maybe Kapono will be the new Flakers Savior?

I've never been a big fan of Brown's game and that has EVERYTHING to do with his ties to the purple and gold! I hate him just for that reason. AND we dont need him, we need bigs.

I would not support this trade at all, maybe if West was coming back for Baby, but not even then would I do it. Rondo tore his arm off and still played. I'll take more heart on this team than the outside shot Paul provides. Chandler would be ideal!
