The David Laws, British Treasury Secretary, has resigned Saturday, less than three weeks after forming the government in the wake of revelations about perceived undue expense. Prime Minister David Cameron thanked him within 24 hours after her apology for what the Daily Telegraph to number tens of thousands of pounds of compensation for rentals in residences owned by his companion. "I do not see how to continue my important work on the budget and expenditure review while managing the consequences of recent public and private revelations," said David Laws, in a statement announcing his resignation. The former Treasury secretary, who was responsible for identifying with the Minister of Finance, George Osborne, the savings and cuts to be made to reduce the huge deficit of Great Britain, belongs to the Liberal Democratic Party.
