It has now reached the point we will do anything to win and I am sick of this garbage. It is clear that without Tim Urban's offense simply doesn't work, but playing these habitual criminals in hopes of a win is about as pathetic as it gets. A few weeks back, 13.8 percent of voters on Gator Clause predicted Rainey would return for the Georgia game. Impressive numbers. -jo-

Optimistic about the Cats this season. Luongo was just unbeatable tonight.

Jo - your closing question, "what's wrong with the Gators?" reeks of smugness. Since when is any football team, much less the Gators who are relative newcomers to any measure of success, guaranteed unlimited success? As if two losses are unheard of? As if this team has not lost more than one game in a decade? Please. Posted by: Soldy | October 11, 2010 at 09:44 AM ________________________________________________ Soldy, No disrespect intended. The Gators have had a great run and I'm sure this is just a bump in the road. Perhaps I should have phrased the question: What are some ways the Gators can improve? -jo-

Big Joe- You brought up UAA...not me! The only thing I am once again fixated on is my neighbor currently getting dressed (see below): ~Neil Goldberg, a senior producer at ESPN, was arrested after he was caught masturbating while standing on a stool watching his female neighbor getting dressed through her window, according to police. Police said the 52-year-old admitted to peering through her window and pleasuring himself. He was charged with public indecency, simple trespass, disorderly conduct and breach of peace. A woman allegedly caught Goldberg balancing on a stool while looking through his neighbor's window. When Goldberg saw the woman, he retreated back inside his home. Goldberg, was released on a $1,000 bond. Posted by: Bull Gator | October 09, 2010 at 12:09 AM ________________________________________________ One of the most popular places to eat near campus in Auburn, Ala., is called Mama Goldberg's. That's all I can contribute to this conversation right now. I'm mean, a stool? And isn't it cold this time of year in Bristol? -jo-

Jo I'm a little late to the party here, but Billy was not the man for the job....unfortunatly neither is vitamin A. Billy is weak. His jumping ship shows his character. Meyer brought that guy everywhere. I trust Urban's judgment on that. A is strong, but just not as a coordinator. I am sure Urban has his list of guys ready and we will see some sort of change. If it bugs us, it bugs Urban even worse. 2 Championships in 5 years and the winningest active coach coach, His perspective is better than ours. Posted by: JOHN IN PINECREST-LOVIN IT | October 08, 2010 at 09:52 PM ________________________________________________ John, I'd be shocked if Addazio is replaced. In fact, I'd be less surprised if Meyer resigned again than if he fired Vitamin Addazio. -jo-

Bull Gator, You're killing, smalls. Why are you so fixated on the UAA and UF's Board? They have nothing to do with this blog post other than they're reading it just like you. -jo-

Wow, some beat writer. Obviously biased against the Gators and has little to no relationship with the UAA that he is assigned to cover. Canes and FSU fans unite to talk about the Gators - now that is pathetic, what a bunch of hot air losers. As SOS says, it they're saying nice things about you it's probably 'cuz they're beating you. Talk all you want losers, write all the crap you want to Joe the worst sportswriter. We'll send you a postcard from our BCS bowl. Meyer and company released the “sticky note” story to make Gonzales look unprofessional and be the bad guy. Gonzales made one unforgiveable mistake…he trusted Urban Meyer! Posted by: Bull Gator | October 08, 2010 at 09:25 AM ________________________________________________ FYI, I wouldn't have written this if someone working for the UAA told me. Duh. Give me a little credit, big guy. -jo-

Billy G was caught at one of the players birthday party (the night a certain player fell asleep at the wheel of his car), and this made Urban so mad he almost got into a fist fight with him. The rest of this story is true, but it is easy to see why. Posted by: Fact: | October 08, 2010 at 06:37 AM ________________________________________________ What? You say an assistant coach is at a birthday party for a player! Oh, the horror. Big deal if Gonzales knew about it or was at the party at one point. It's not like he was pouring shots for Dunlap. Gonzales left and things apparently got out of hand. Players have to be able to think for themselves and Dunlap was obviously an idiot on that night. Dunlap was immature in his college days and B.Spikes was a joke of a team leader off the field. Meyer should fist fight himself for letting Gonzales get away, in my opinion. David Nelson made an NFL roster. REPEAT: David Nelson made an NFL roster. -jo-

OrlandoCane, Do you realize how hypocritical it is to play the holier-than-thou card in one sentence while also calling someone a name and making fun of them? HYPOCRITE –noun 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. 2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements. -jo-

North Texas is garbage after they lost QB Nathan Tune, so Van Camp should have a good game at Lockhart. I'm interested to see how UCF freshman QB Jeff Godfrey of Miami Central does in the first road start of his career. Gator Clause friend Mike Biachi of the Orlando Sentinel wrote on Friday that Godfrey might be UCF's next Culpepper. A little premature to be throwing that name around, but we'll see. As for small schools, keep an eye on Josh McGregor at Jacksonville University this weekend against Davidson. McGregor has already passed for more than 300 yards in two starts this season. Sticking with the small-school them, Matt Johnson of Bethune-Cookman is one to keep an eye on as well this weekend. The B-CU Wildcats get Norfolk State in Daytona Beach. -jo-

In all seriousness, who's the best quarterback in the state so far this season? I'm thinking about making this my column for next week depending on how games go this weekend. Jacory and his picks? Brantley and his low numbers? Ponder and his stinker in Oklahoma? Identifying the state's best QB is tough this season. -jo-
