There are more and more tools on the internet today than ever before gathering information about the person who is browsing it. Posting personal information online is one of the most common ways that we give up our privacy. This does not only come in the form of social networks, but in the websites and blogs that we sign up for. However, you can make a large dent in what is online and reduce it to the point where it would be hard to find out any information about you. Here are some of my top suggestions for people looking to take them off of the internet: Remove Social Network Usage- Do not simply stop using your Facebook or Twitter – remove as much information as you can on them. This... Continue reading

If you are interested in becoming anonymous online, the first thing that you should consider is the fact that social media is one of the main ways that the government gets information about us. While, in most cases, this information isn’t used for anything and the media overhypes the privacy issues associated with social media, sometimes it can really come back to haunt you. The information put on here can often times point out your location geographically, as well as your financial status, health status, and where you have traveled from and to. These issues also provide a link to... Continue reading
