Nick Hodges has a great point. I've seen that abused at a lot of companies. "Wow, they somehow managed to squeeze 2 minutes of information into one hour!"
Meetings: Where Work Goes to Die
How many meetings did you have today? This week? This month? Now ask yourself how many of those meetings were worthwhile, versus the work that you could have accomplished in that same time. This might lead one to wonder why we even have meetings at all. At GitHub we don't have meetings...
Congrats, Jeff! It's been a really exciting to watch StackOverflow grow from an idea to an important part of how deveopers work and communicate. Other folks have pointed to it already, but you should check out dotless. The t4 templates can auto-run when you save the .less file to compile the .css files, so there's no additional step - you just write your .less file and it just works.
What's Wrong With CSS
We're currently in the midst of a CSS Zen Garden type excerise on our family of Q&A websites, which I affectionately refer to as "the Trilogy": Server Fault Super User Stack Overflow Meta Stack Overflow (In case you were wondering, yes, meta is the Star Wars Holiday Special.) These sites a...
