When all you have is a gun, everything looks like a gun target. That is, by definition, what government is. Today is a good day to think about the last thing modern abolitionist call for, stop the slavery of man by each other. No more taxes, no more threats against innocent people, no more cops knocking on your door and entering w/o a warrant and getting away with it. Today, let us all put down the gun and become voluntaryists.

So did you ever try FrogPad? Their newest design pretty impressive, you would think they could produce it for much cheaper now that it is designed so "simply."

I use below average. Why? Because we're cheap and don't mind being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I believe we use 1/3 of the energy other customers use. Use electric blankets to warm the bed up before going to bed. Don't heat the bedroom. Use a heater to heat the bathroom before use. Wear coats. Etc.

@Martin, Yeah, I was thinking about it and I think it might just be that we don't spend as much one on one with the second. I think if we changed that she would calm down more. I grew up in a house with 6 kids in it also and I still think most of it is environmental related not genetic. I think personalities are genetic and environmental but a kid throwing tantrums is definitely entirely environmental. There's been a bunch of studies on the subject of people when they get older and the childhood influences. The first 3 years are the most important and abused kids are the ones that end up going crazy as adults (not all I know, and yes, some of the mind altering drugs that parents put their kids on now days also contributes significantly, which would be environmental also).

Larry, I agree with Jeff on this one. I have two kids. Different personalities yes, the younger one will throw fits, I don't think it is because of genetics that she throws fits, I think it is environment and me knowing how to deal with two kids. I haven't learned how to talk and interact appropriately with the 2 year old yet, so she gets upset, I would too if I were her. I'll have to open my book again, I got 20 pages in and stopped, thought it was a great book, but got distracted reading other things, and yes, parenting.

Besides the fact that copyrighting is immoral. There are a plethora of old books to be read for free from google e-books (I used to go to archive.org but google does a much better job) and other outlets. There are a plethora of lesser known writers that don't charge hardly anything (couldn't have happened without e-books). Assuming you can strip the drm from your e-book you can then use Calibre to format it to whatever form you like.

This bill will just be put in again without as much coverage later when the fan fare dies down. A bit cynical but that seems to be the way government works. They don't really care. But I'm glad you guys put up a fight. The main problem that causes this is the people let government use aggression as a means to an end. It is not until we believe that love is the ultimate answer that we will truly be able to overcome these attacks on our freedoms, truly, it is the enemy within that will be our downfall and that enemy is ourselves individually.
