I'll have to hope for video clips on youtube, as LA is quite a distance from me, lol. I hope you have a wonderful crowd!
wil wheaton vs. paul and storm at Largo this Tuesday
REMINDER: Wil Wheaton vs. Paul and Storm is this coming Tuesday, March 29, at Largo. As you might possibly guess (if you are incredibly perceptive), we are doing a show with our old w00tstock fellow-traveler Wil Wheaton. This time, we’ll meet on the battlefields of Los Angeles at one of our fav...
I do not have a way with words, but thank you for such a heartfelt post.
Though I hadn't seen him in over twenty years, I knew I'd miss him forever
I stood in the lobby of the Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake, and looked at Twitter while I waited for the rest of the guys to arrive. The walls were covered with posters from productions like CHiPs: The Musical and It's A Stevie Wonderful Life. Being in a theater during the day, when it's just a b...
So, I downloaded it a couple days ago, but only had a chance to sit and read it last night. LOVED it! It totally left me wanting more...what happens next? What can the other sisters do? How will they defeat the Gan? Gladly donated my share for this story. (And even though I had already planned on it, makes me want to buy your other books even more now! --Also, disregard the fact that the donation came in my previous married name...I never got around to changing the email account it was attached to, lol)
HUNTER is here.
Hunter is a short Sci-Fi story set in a dark and desperate world. It is just about 2500 words, which is about the length of a story you'd read in a magazine. I'm not really sure what the appropriate cost is, so I'm experimenting with the Pay What You Want model that seems to be working really we...
ROFL! I think I love Anne, lol! That is epic!
Cherry Flowers and Bedroom Songs
While I was drifting off to sleep last night, a short story idea seized my mind and refused to shut up until I scribbled down enough about it to ensure I didn't lose it during the journey to sleep and back to waking. I got out of bed, made some barely-legible notes, and fell asleep rather quickl...
I loved the freeway underpass also. But it made me really grin to read the line "Oh, my bad" ;) People give me a hard time for still using that line.
in which Highlights for Children is discussed at great length
Last night, on the way home from dinner, I asked Anne, "Do you remember Highlights for Children?" "Of course I do," she said, "I remember how I hated going to the doctor when I was a kid, until I started reading Highlights in the waiting room." "Turn right at this intersection," I said, "and Tra...
Not that Gallant wouldn't get a kid picked on like crazy..... ;)

So funny....but so true! Do I gain or lost points if I admit that I sometimes read over my kids' shoulders in the waiting room when they pick Highlights up??

I was a few days shy of being 6 when this happened. I don't remember much of what was going on that day...if we had it on during class or if I heard later. But what you say is so true and sad -- what makes the news a lot of the time is so not newsworthy. America needs to get its priorities straightened out.
from the vault: some of us are looking at stars
This was originally written in May of last year, just after I watched the space shuttle Atlantis blast off into orbit. On the anniversary of the Challenger disaster, I thought it was worth reprinting: On January 28, 1986, I was home from school with the flu. I remember that, no matter what I di...
