well written DWEZ! One thing I say is I would like Haslem to finish all the way with miami He's gotta be one of the players to have given his all on the court like mourning
heat hawks game
"Who is better? Who would you take over him?" Wade is untradable, Even for Lebron Kobe I wouldnt trade Wade
"Yes they can. I see Spolestra going over Video right now trying to figure out how to peel a Banana " 1) You have to go right now to Fox 7 or abc 10 and tell them the shocking breaking news that monkeys can 2) I wonder if that video is your imagination "So basically your saying with Phil Jackson the Lakers are not the best team and have to tremble at the sight of the Magic and Cirque d' Lebron, BUT with Spolestra the Lakers Run over Any team that even thinks about messing With Spo's Fluidity!" No, I'm not talking about Jackson at all, I am talking about Erick Spoelstra leading the lakers to the championship i'm not talking about jackson,Phil Jackson..? Who cares? "Great argument... Lets see... Could Rambo Lead them? Could Kirk Douglas? Could a Radioactive spidermonkey Lead them? Could Carmen Sandiego?" You have to be following a different NBA, the NBA I know of has coaches like Avery Johnson, Kurt Rambis, Mike Woodson, Mike Brown, etc "Listen call the Lakers front office and Tell them what you told me. Request a trade: Spo for Phil Jackson and a box of glazed donuts. Then write back to me and tell me how Hard they laughed at your dumbass,.. " The Dumb*** is you for suggesting it I ain't the manager or vice president of operations(just saying) I am just stating what i think Posted by: Mike | January 06, 2010 at 01:01 AM "I see Erick Spoelstra leading the lakers to the chmapionship if he were the coach"
I don't think he meant right now. I think he means he sees him reaching that level at some point in the future. I was saying that I see OJ's ceiling somewhere between Jamal Crawford and Joe Johnson. He was responding to that. So I'm pretty sure he didn't mean right now. Posted by: josh | January 06, 2010 at 12:51 AM You are right, Josh. You understood me. My way of seeing it is Oj Mayo could be in the Lebron, Wade, Kobe company It wouldnt surprise me This is from tonight: Zach Randolph had 27 points and 14 rebounds Tuesday night as the Grizzlies held on to edge the Trail Blazers 109-105 at the Rose Garden. O.J. Mayo chipped in 27 points and Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol each added 18 points.
Think of coaching like this: the Rockets have 3 offensively inept players in their staring line-up, & no Center on the roster at all, yet they have more wins then we do. Rick Adelman makes us a contender. Posted by: GodsSon521 | January 06, 2010 at 12:22 AM The rockets are a talented team Chase Budinger and David Andersen are surprise rookies(wouldnt you wish they were in the heat) Shane Battier, Trevor Ariza, Luis Scola are solid contributors Carl landry, Aaron Brooks, Chuck Hayes, Kyle Lowry are decent players and they got jermaine taylor, joey dorsey and mike harris
Who wants to see the heat go on a 10 game winning streak? Who wants to see the wade-beasley duo explosion and become the main duo on the team? Who wants the remaining players to learn their duties and perform and be motivated to winning? Who wants to see the heat win? Support the Heat!
A monkey could lead the Lakers to another championship right now Posted by: Mike | January 05, 2010 at 11:57 PM Can a Monkey really do that? I dont think are the only BEST team in the Nba there's the celtics, cavs, magic and whoever is good in the west they have to go through first I am seriously saying Erick Spoelstra can lead the lakers to the championship thats how I see it Could a monkey lead them? Could Avery Johnson? Could Jon kuester lead them? Could Kurt Rambis lead them? I see Erick Spoelstra leading the lakers to the chmapionship if he were the coach
I see Mayo as something in between Jamal Crawford and Joe Johnson. Posted by: josh | January 05, 2010 at 11:45 PM I respect that I see Mayo in the Lebron, Wade, Kobe company
What position would Mayo have played he's not a PG.josh has always known his basketball he does his homework. Posted by: Greg | January 05, 2010 at 11:42 PM Oj Mayo was the point guard at USC and the mock drafts compared him to Gilbert Arenas/Stephone marbury/Ben Gordon He was being thought as a Magic Johnson type point guard , it was published in one of the heat's coverage newspaper
I just could never imagine him meshing with Wade unless Wade went to PG, but even then, it's a little shaky... Posted by: GodsSon521 | January 05, 2010 at 11:39 PM Oj Mayo-Dwyane Wade would be a deadly duo today Mayo was supposed to be the PG and Wade at shooting guard, you would only need someone at center(Amare, Bosh, Nowitzki, BLopez) and respectable fillers at PF and SF such haslem and james posey and you would have a deadly team
You're getting obsessed with this Beasley thing josh... Posted by: Greg | January 05, 2010 at 11:27 PM i'll never forget in december 2007 Josh talk about this great prospect the heat should pick, He was the first person that suggested Michael Beasley I think Beasley is a good player but i still think OJ Mayo was the guy. but 10,000 to 1 were saying Beasley on the day Still, Beasley is a great player Josh knows the players, he has knowledge
I believe in Spoelstra being a decent Head Coach and leading the heat decently, I personally think there's a reason Riley chose him and I think for a scout and adviser he has not done bad in his first 2 years on the job He's 38 and still has much more to grow on and expereince I see Spoelstra as a coach who if he were the coach of this years lakers he would be able to lead them to the NBA Finals Championship
I personally think we would be at least 7 games better. He values offense as much as he does defense. Spo on the other hand places no value on offense whatsoever. He tries to force us into a defensive dynamo when the truth is we simply dont have the personnel to do what he wants. He not a coach that can adjust to his personnel, hes the other way around. Stan was great at adjusting to what he had imo. The offense he runs in Orlando is totally different from what we had in 05. Our offense in 05 was the best Heat offense we ever had. Posted by: kbboy80 | January 05, 2010 at 11:18 PM Well put Kbboy80
I don't know if you people watch Heat games anymore, but Beasley does not suck defensively. It's not even an arguable point. He's not good or anything, but he doesn't suck. No PF has shot 50% or better against us in 3 weeks. We get destroyed on the perimeter, and we get bullied by big centers. The only position we *don't* have serious problems with is PF. The irrational Beasley hate needs to stop. Posted by: josh | January 05, 2010 at 11:09 PM JOSH, SUPPORT BEASLEY! SUPPORT BEASLEYU! SUPPORT BEASLEY! SUPPORT BEASLEY!SUPPORT BEASLEY! LETS GO HEAT
How would it be if Stan Nav Gundy was the coach of this team? Wouldn't it be a more relaxed, free-flowing set Beasley to Wade for the dunk Spoelstra is more of a Riley (first years 95-96, 96-97..)culture person, he wants the heat to be run like the 95-96 heat was by 1st year at the heat helm Pat Riley
JP, That's very nice cut and paste job. You do realize that we will be picking 16-19 in the draft, right? Posted by: just saying... | January 05, 2010 at 10:53 PM Yes that the raptors pick is lottery prtected so it will be 15-30 and the heat's unless they fail to make the playoffs will be 15-30, with the heat possibly being around 12th out of the 16 playoffs teams, around 17-20 in the draft. My strong choices are Devin Ebanks, Patrick Patterson, Al-Farouq Aminu, gani Lawal, Craig Brackins
JD Let's suppose Beasley "is fair" on defense or "is also a great defender" would Beasley be late in games? would it be a no-brainer? It has to be the scare of seeing Beasley's man or whoever is aginst beasley at the time and place of play sweep through and score easily Thus defense is important to Spoelstra ..offense? He has Dwyane Wade ;)
Brakins or Garcia are 6'10" Lamar Odom klones. They should be available 16-19 also. Boulding the 6'5" PG from Gozaga should be available with the second we get from NO. Posted by: just saying... | January 05, 2010 at 10:42 PM 21 - Craig Brackins NBA Comparison: Shareef Abdur-Rahim 45 - Charles Garcia NBA Comparison: Dominic McGuire Weaknesses: Has an intriguing combination of size and skills, but still extremely raw for a 21 year old
Does Wade have any friends left in the NBA who aren't on the Heat's roster? Besides Lebron and Bosh, of course. Posted by: JB | January 05, 2010 at 10:34 PM D-Wade needs to humble himself. He needs to play and go out each night and put his best, motivate his teammates, get them towards the goal of winning He needs to be like he was in his first NBA day(personality)
Unless we get the first pick and walk away with the PG, the other wish player for me would be Warren possible at 10-12 but with Sanders at 16-19 we would be getting a Big with 7'7" reach, thats 1" bigger than Yao and he stands 6'10"-6'11", leads the nation in blocks and that will make for a hell of a pick. Posted by: just saying... | January 05, 2010 at 10:37 PM 1 - Larry Sanders NBA Comparison: Sean Williams Weaknesses: Has very little offensive skill level ... Still learning the game, developing fundamentals, basic stuff such as boxing out and setting proper screens ... Having just two years of high school ball under his belt, he struggles to do some basic things such as catching and shooting and converting shots inside the paint ...
do we use both 1st round picks and perhaps throw in a daequan cook to get a higher lottery selection? Posted by: adrian | January 05, 2010 at 10:29 PM Just think of Al-Farouq Aminu Derrick Favors Xavier Henry Ed Davis Wesley Johnson Evan Turner paired with beas, wade, and company
