Remember all of the graffiti paper we made a year or so ago and had so much fun doing this...........well I got to thinking why not apply it to shrink and make some fun tags.....so I got out all of my stamp pads (that will work on shrink) stamps, distress inks, stencils, white pens, black pens and went to town. towards the bottom of the photo above are before the shrinking....... the photo above is from some of the painted shrink I bought when Julie Haymaker was at the Paper Crown.....this particular color was a light pink! Look how dark... Continue reading

I have been doing a little experimenting with some new stamps and shrinking them......if you see in the photo above the two gals, one is skinnier than the other.......sometimes the way you place the stamp on the shrink going vertical or horizontal it makes a difference in the size.........depending on if you are working on perfection it might drive you crazy if you want it all the exact same size........ but when you work with shrink plastic its kinda of out of your control, FLEXIBLE! if you want to see how much the plastic shrinks up the white piece is... Some of you have asked what to use on shrink plastic to get the best color.........by far the best I have found is Prismacolor pencils! They really have a wide variety of colors and they sharpen the best........I'm not saying that is what you have to use but I have the best results from them...... I have several different kinds of pencils I still use but if I was going to invest in colored pencils especially for shrink plastic this is what I would recommend. A few weekends back Debby Schuh was back at the Paper Crown for her yearly... Continue reading

We ate some of the most wonderful fresh food and enjoyed the shopping and just spending time relaxing. These photos are taken off of my phone .......for the first time ever I decided to not take my good camera .........the other two gals I traveled with took photos on their phones so I just took these off my phone that they forwarded to me .......so they are a... Last nights Friendship/Back to School class was so much fun...........each classmate was to fill out a card telling a little about themselves to share with each other .........when the book is finished they can slip the exchange pages between the pages that they made to hold photos of old classmates/friends/family....... We had 11 participate and this is what the friendship logs looked liked, one of them is missing but we all had a laugh or two of what was written. What a really fun way to get to know your friends and where they came from and what they like... Continue reading

One thing about summer is fresh fruit...........my husband is always telling me I am going to turn into a fruit, ha ha! I love all fruit ( except strawberries) and I do consume a lot .........but my favorite is probably raspberries and peaches! I am not really a big breakfast eater but when I have peaches I do indulge this for breakfast! Peaches, raspberries, blueberries, yogurt and granola......I make those energy balls (I have given the recipe several times) and I just break one up and sprinkle on top of my bowl of fruit and yogurt..........what is your favorite fruit?... I figured since I still have my sewing machine out that I would continue with Mary Ann's Stitch Bookery and finish up with three of the signature series with folders to hold them all in....If your not familiar with a signature it is a group of pages that are printed on both sides ( or stitched) of a single sheet of paper that once it's folded, trimmed, bound and cut become a specific number of pages depending on the page size.........so inside each of these folders I have several signatures, I hope that makes sense....... These journals and folder covers... Continue reading

Well you can see its a big fat colorful mess............Still working on some shrink plastic and beads............I do want to show you one of the fun molds Julie Haymaker sold in one of her mold kits....... These are a flat disc and a little different than the round shape cap cone to cover the beads......these are fun to use and here are a few things I came up with...like the old saying goes the sky is the limit.............!!!!! It's basically the same but does not cover the bead like the other mold........kind of a cute different look..... The one above... Continue reading
