I find the "old media" moguls' arguments against file sharing are rather anti-capitalist and seem, well, monopolistic. In the great marketplace, people's demand will pay for the goods and services that are worth it. They will not pay for those which are sub-par. I've downloaded music before to see if I'd like it. When I do, I reward the artist by purchasing their work. If I don't like it, I delete it. QED. So, in my book, a download will equal a WON sale while not letting me download will be their LOST sale.

First, of course +1 for invoking time travel. Next, +100 for invoking Back to the Future.

I'll toss my lot into the virtual hat. I have one of these already (heck, maybe 2 if I remember correctly) but giving one to friends is always a capital idea.

However, not out of retribution or anger, but out of respect for our laws and overall justice, we need to prosecute to our fullest extent those in the Bush Administration (up to, and including Bush himself) for violations against the Constitution and its subsequent laws. If we do not, the world will still believe that someone like that can come to power in the U.S. and do it all over again.

Thank you, truly, for articulating the relationship I have with "Ender's Game" and Card as he is now. I read the sequels (all of them) and just have nary a clue on the "Speaker" ones what that had to do with anything. If you and Nolan get a chance, pick up Fred Pohl's "Gateway" and sequels for a very good read.

I'd like to thank the late great George Carlin for convincing me to pray to the sun and Joe Pesci - who have about the same 50-50 success rate as God. AND Joe has been able to take care of some of those things that God couldn't. Like disbarring Jack Thompson. Praise Joe!
