We are continually bombarded with propaganda of why gay marriage should be legal. The problem is, nowhere does there exist a civil right to violate the natural laws of sexual behavior. It is like saying I have a right to violate the laws of gravity. As for the moral issue, morality is based on experience. People learn that bad things happen when when they do unnatural things with their bodies. Hence, diseases like hepatitis, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, etc. I haven't even mentioned AIDS. As much as I would like to pander to people who cannot form adult, heterosexual relationships, I resist the urge. You don't give alcoholics whiskey. The homosexuals are trapped in the twilight zone of adolescence, neither adult nor child. Many of the so called are also seriously mentally disturbed and victims of abuse. I don't like pandering to mentally ill people either. They need treatment. This gay rights propaganda effort is similar to the Progressives who want to trample on the Bill of Rights. They would also trample on children's rights to a mother and a father. Marriage between a man and woman has been the foundation of all societies and cultures for thousands of years. It is the foundation of the family and passing on of familial values from one generation to the next. It is the foundation of economic and political progress which has been and is wiping out poverty and violence on a scale never before witnessed in human evolution. I am not ready to give up my sanity and the health and safety of my children to those people who cannot adjust to reality. I realize there are strange things in this world. I have learned to live with them, not pander to their delusions and illusions. People must accommodate reality, not visa versa.
WGN has always been a boot-licker for the Chicago machine. Laski fits right in with their Daley worshipping ways.
