Both Tyson Chandler and NEne are FAR too OVERRATED. Tyson has literally NO offensive game and if he did not play hard on defense, rebounded nor blocked any shots, we would not be talking about him. Nene with his size and his abilities is not that great a rebounder (carrer 7.0 per game) and he does not even block shots. The Celts are better of getting a Kwame brown witrh the verterans minumum. they should also think of axing JO w/ the amnesty clause. It's obvious that JO does not have it anymore.

Yesm if logic prevailed this lockout would have ended weeks ago.

KG doe not even need the money anyways considering he's set for life and still gets his money despite the NBA lockout. That's what pissed me off when he decided to open his big fat mouth resulting in the NBA missing games.

It was already a foregone conclusion that will happen. Can't get mad about it cuz there's nothing we can do about it. I guess we will be stuck with six to ten less games this season. That's not TOO BAD is it?

When players can force trades in order for big market teams to pay for them, then something is truly wrong in the system.

The owners are not going "soft," but they seem to acing more reasonable now. Removing the hard cap was a good idea because that was getting both sides nowhere. Stricter controls on who gets max money is a far better idea. By limiting teams to only signing one max player per season is a start; however, I believe it should go further alowing only one max player per team, period. In addition, the max player can only be a player that is currenty from that team, not from any other. Such measures would provent guys like Pat Riley Mark Cuban, Danny Ainge, Mitch Kupchack, Otis Smith, etc to load up on max players because they can. Also the CBA sdhould make it even less desirable for players to leave their teams in free agency by removing the sign and trade option. Because right now, teams are literally held hostage and are forced to make less than fair deals or be left with nothing as the case with Toronto and Cleveland. Reducing the MLE is a start, but I think it should be outright removed because it has created a class of overpaid players who have a sense of entitlemant. That's not a good attuitude only in sports, but also life in general. Most of us are not entitled to anything, why should over paid pre-madonna athletes should be? In that way, people who truly deserve the money will be paid accordinly.

I'm a little shocked that Troy Murphy was ranked higher than Nenad Krstic. I's like to know the criteria for the rankings.

Only seven people signed and of those seven, four of the players make around 15$ million. Just the contracts of Pierce, Rondo, Garnett, and Allen have the Celtics already in luxury tax terriotory. And Wyc grouseback wants a hard cap system? Good luck implementing that!!

Now there's a man that stood the test of time. If there were not a team call the Red Soxs, I'm sure the Celtics would have change their name to the Red-Ticks.

On the flip side, the system that was in place created a middle class of mediocre players getting absurd salaries. The mid-level exemption along with the Larry Bird examptions has almost created a sense of entitlement for players and it's hurting the game. That's why the owners want a hard cap. It removes that kind of entitlement and forces players to play according toi their value. Look at all the players who are getting 6$ million and up and play little or if any basketball. Guaranteed contracts do not give players signed any real incentive to produce at the levels that led to them being rewarded with such contracts to begin with. I can see why guys like Grousbeck want to have this hard cap, because they have hads enough of wasting money on sub par players.

Perk should not lay of Russel because what he's saying is the truth. Russ never sets up the offense, he just barrells straight down the lane with every offensive possession. The only time he passes is when he cannot get his shot off and kicks it to Durant at the top of the key for a jumper.

Well, it's much better than posting all the gloom and doom in the NBA Lockout.

JO seemed to have his hops back. I was quite impressed, however with Jamaal Tinsley. That guy can still play. Sebastien Telfair looked pretty good out there too.

Lets just hope for the best. I miss jawing against Celtics fans (LOL)

Hope he'll get good enough playing time. I mean I have seen him play. he has a good sense of tinming when he passes and excelent awareness on both sides of the court.
