Very exciting, interesting, and beautiful! Thank you fur sharing! My sister did some drop needle spinning when we were kids and had picked it up again as an adult. She had gotten her roving from a variety of locations, most recently getting some fleece from a petting zoo, that didn't use the materials after the animals were shorn. She's planning on using that wool in projects for local shelters - homeless, half way, etc. Never one to shy away from jumping into the deep end of a subject that fascinates her, she's posted some of her process: And more prep: What about knitting up little blocks and connecting them into a knit patch work blanket? You could collect blocks from each sheep, or over years. If one gets holes it could be pulled out and replaced. Just a thought. .. best regards, Julie

We spent countless hours feeding, rocking, reading, sleeping in this chair. The footstool has seen many a dressing time, lots of cars, and served as a table at time - very versatile ;-) The head piece comes off easily for easy sleeping while rocking for shorter folks. Birch and bone/off-white... Continue reading

Last Sunday was communion. T and I whispered about what to do as he hadn't been to communion Sunday in a while. At our Presbyterian church everyone stays in their seats and the elders of the church serve the congregation by passing plates of bread and trays holding tiny cups... Continue reading

When T became a real presence in my belly and my stuff was moved out of the third bedroom to make room for the nursery, some of it went to the living room. The love seat, the club chair, and their off white denim. It was then that I first... Continue reading
