Was just at Gen Con and did TrueDungeon for the first time - we slayed the Dragon! I even met the Dungeon Master who ran the Dragon's room when Wil slayed the Dragon last year, and he said he still couldn't believe Wil's luck (or skill?). Here's a little video I put together with Gen Con footage and photos: http://youtu.be/xqm6S3GQl9U
My Dragon*Con Schedule
Here's my schedule for this weekend's Dragon*Con. Friday 1pm -2pm - The Guild Panel with Robin and Amy in the Sheraton Grand Ballroom 2:30-5:30pm - Autographs in the Walk of Fame 6:00-6:30pm - The Guild Photos in International Hall North at the Marriott. 6:30-7:00pm - Star Trek Photos in Interna...
Hey, Wil, are you out for Gen Con this year? They haven't announced any big name guests of honor yet, so I'm wondering if there aren't any.
regarding deadline panic
I have a lot to do before I leave for Phoenix tomorrow. I have to prepare my setlist for my show (this includes building a slideshow, which I've never done before. I'm terrified I'm going to screw it up, so of course I waited until the last minute to do it, because the stress of not knowing how ...
Great recipe. I think I'll make it so.
Soup. Black Bean. Hot.
"What are you making?" Anne asked. I looked up from the cutting board, and put the knife down so I wouldn't somehow cut my hand off when I wasn't looking (yes, I am that clumsy). "Black bean soup," I said. "Is it from a recipe, or are you winging it?" "I've made so many different recipes from so...
This is why I'm only able to meet one out of twenty celebrities I want to at conventions like this. But I understand. What I try to keep in mind is that there are dozens of other people who don't have anyone at their tables, and they can be fun to meet as well. (Case in point, self published authors: http://jwbraun.com/blog/?p=760) Enjoy PAX!
My 2010 PAX Prime Schedule
When I was at GenCon last month, I signed autographs and stuff for close to six hours a day. I got to meet a lot of people (and took home about ten pounds of dice!) but I hardly got to see any of the con, and I got to play a grand total of three games while I was there. I’ve been working my ass ...
If anyone's interested, I posted pics from Gen Con at my blog: http://jwbraun.com/blog/?p=706 and I'll be posting a lot more soon.
epic wil ... ll ... ll
That's me, Will Hindmarch, and Will Schoonover, making the most epic Wil ... ll ... ll gang sign, ever. I loved that, because I only have one L in my name, I had a hand to make the W. (I don't remember who owns the hand making the I, but I'm pretty sure it's not someone called Wil(l).) (Photo...
I wish I would have read this before we met today! I would have brought dice. On the subject of germs, you're not alone. Lots of celebrities, businessmen, and more are realizing that it's just not a good idea to shake a bunch of hands everyday. And you shouldn't have to apologize for looking after yourself. Hope you enjoy the book I gave you! (Lord of the Films) And thanks for coming to Gen Con.
Game on: GenCon info, chapbooks, and dice. Lots and lots of dice.
I leave for GenCon in about 3d12 hours. While I'm not thrilled about getting up at 4am on Thursday, knowing that the reward for dragging myself out of bed at areyoufuckingserious o'clock is three days of gaming and geeking makes it all worthwhile. I'm blessing dice, taking pictures, and signing ...
