I'm really glad Phoenix makes you feel welcome and even gladder to hear you want to return, again. It is always great to see you and hear your perspective on oh so many things.
I loved when you said that your heros were teachers [being a teacher] and how the different teachers had made your who you are. I double loved to hear of you were proudest of raising your two step sons and how Ryan asked you to adopt you [and how the rest of the panel were kinda "can't top that" in a sort of admiring way.
While it was fun to see so much of the TNG cast together and witness how you all interacted I was delighted to see how you and Brent Spiner [imho] were the heros of many of the fans that were there. Not that the others were unpopular by any means.
I hope to see you at w00tstock in July!
Memories of the Phoenix Comicon 2012
In about 22 hours, I leave for Origins Game Fair in Ohio. I've wanted to go to this convention since I was in high school, and I'm really excited to finally be attending. Felicia and I are doing a bunch of TableTop stuff, and the organizers have even set aside time in our busy schedules for some...
I try to be kind, always. Even to those who can't figure out how to do it back. Bit by bit, I try to wear them down.
Ask me at the end of my life if this works all the time, so far…more hits than misses.
Just as success breeds success, I believe that being nice breeds being nice!
"There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind."
The list of Stuff I Need to Write About just keeps getting bigger and bigger ... so instead of trying to tackle it right now, I give you this, from my Twittersbox a little bit ago: When you're fortunate enough to have success and love what you do, you have a choice: Be kind and grateful, or be ...

FedCon day two
I slept late, and woke to the room service guy knocking on my door. I vaguely recall signing the order receipt before falling back into bed for another hour, when my growling stomach finally won the battle between it and my tired brain. I'd like to believe that my stomach told my brain, "Look, b...
Keep doing what you're doing Wil. Your storytelling just keeps finding new layers under each new layer you reveal.
Though I hadn't seen him in over twenty years, I knew I'd miss him forever
I stood in the lobby of the Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake, and looked at Twitter while I waited for the rest of the guys to arrive. The walls were covered with posters from productions like CHiPs: The Musical and It's A Stevie Wonderful Life. Being in a theater during the day, when it's just a b...

w00tstock presents: Wil Wheaton vs. Paul and Storm at Largo
Later this month -- March 29, to be precise -- I will be joining Paul and Storm for a show at Largo, here in Los Angeles. This show will be a sort of concentrated w00tstock, expanding my 20 minute set of one story to about 60 minutes of probably 3 stories, and doing approximately the same for Pa...
w00tstock in Phoenix! [Just offering that Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US]. Not suggesting that w00tstock playing in smaller cities is in any a slight to us, but if you came here you could learn what "it's a dry heat" really means.

Happy New Year Wil! 2010 was truly your year. I have found much, much wisdom from your blog and seeing you in person in AZ and at w00tstock in SD. Being a geek is something to be embraced and cherished [More Band Geeks than Usual is my cover band name]!
Seeing your work on Eureka, Big Bang Theory, and The Guild is just icing on the cake!
Here's to 2011!
Happy New Year. I'm on a boat.
I'm going to be on JoCo Cruise Crazy until January 8. I thought it was kind of important to stay connected, keep Twittering and blogging and Internetting while I was on a boat, but after much deliberation, decided that I will not be purchasing Holland America's Yes, We Use The Whole Fist int...
Upboat for you and we award one internet for your wife!
Check. And. Mate.
On our way home from the grocery store tonight, I said to Anne, "Have you heard of this Tumblr called I'm Remembering?" "No," she said, "what's that?" "It's all these images and things from the eighties and early nineties, and it's pretty awesome." In spite of myself, I added with a rather copio...
Been waiting for this since Comicon Phoenix! I've downloaded, donated, and posted to reddit!

Looking forward to the time of day when I can get reading!
BEHOLD Clash of the Geeks - The Wheaton / Scalzi Fan Fiction Chapbook
A long time ago, on an Internet far, far away, John Scalzi's brain unleashed the most epic and awesome and WTF image ever known in the history of all the tribes: The Unicorn Pegasus Kitten. But a Unicorn Pegasus Kitten alone wasn't enough, and so I was placed astride it, wearing the Infamous Clo...
I wish I'd read your blog before I clicked the reddit link. Nearly ruined my dinner.
In which I am a HPOA
I'm working very long hours on Eureka, so I don't have a lot of time or energy to post more than silly things on Twitter, but I did this over the weekend, and I wanted to share: The w00tstock organization wishes to post the following photo correspondence from “Wil”—which is most certainly not a ...
Happy Birthday Wil! Loved every moment of W00tstock 2.4 and hope to see more in the future. I've told all my friends [which are sadly not geeks] about the experience and cackled with glee about it for the past week! They think I'm a bit mad but in a totally good way.
FREE MOLLY!
It's my birthday!
And I am having the best birthday, ever! Thank you to everyone who has wished me happy birthday on the Twitters, and if July 29th is your birthday too, happy birthday to you! (Image by Chuck Gamble, found at WIRED's GeekDad blog.)
Wil, It's really great to read your blog and tweets and know that you are letting geeks know it's OK to be who we are.
I know you said that you tried not to bogart the TNG panel but let's be real. You were a large part of this year's con. Friday night's rock band, Saturday's geek prom, nearly a third of the panels in the auditorium you ROCKED the comicon! My only regret is not saving enough cash to get your autograph. Perhaps next year...
Thanks for a great weekend!
Sunday at the 2010 Phoenix Comicon - Super Happy Funtimes, Eureka, Meeting Stan Lee
This is the last of three posts about the 2010 #PHXCC. If you're looking for the other two posts ... you know, I'm not going to link them for you, because I think that would insult your intelligence. You know how to find them. Sunday: I woke up Sunday feeling like Monty Python lied when they sai...
Wil, apparently you brought so much awesome with you that an hour wasn't enough! I don't know how they're going to market the Awesome 80 Minutes though - doesn't have the same ring to it somehow.
in which a list is completed
Belle and Sebastian played in my office, while I got ready for this weekend's convention. I zipped up my backpack, stood up, and stretched. I made that ughh noise that, as a child, I always associated with old people. I walked a couple steps across the room and sat down at my desk to look at the...
