Interesting. You're one of the first I know to have not liked it.

Last night, my buddy Eric and I went to a concert at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. Actually, a park right outside the casino proper. Opening was a band known as The Orchestra, comprised of former members of Electric... Continue reading

It seems like they're all over the place in terms of digital copy support. Sometimes one movie in a series is UV, the next is iTunes, after that who knows? It's why I really have to debate hard before buying anymore.

Yeah, setting up the UV account was rage inducing. But once I got through that, everything worked pretty nicely. So I went back through my collection to find other movies to add and I didn't own a single other UV flick that didn't also come with a true iTunes digital copy. I guess I was really good about avoiding buying them because of how frustrating they could be. I hadn't heard about theaters re-releasing The LEGO Movie. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the tip.

This past weekend, Katie and I finally got around to watching The LEGO Movie. [collective gasp from all of you] I know, I know. I'm a brickhead... what took me so long, right? It's parenthood, plain and simple. We don't... Continue reading

That's a great realization to have. DPS taught me it was okay to not be one with the masses and to have my own independent thoughts and ideas.

A little more than a week ago, actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead in his home of an apparent suicide. The world collectively gasped. It was just plain sad. Robin was such a talent and, even though I... Continue reading

I had a really fantastic idea for a Macro Monday picture last week that just didn't turn out looking like anything identifiable. It was going to be an egg in honor of the life of Robin Williams (Mork came from... Continue reading

Hey all. Sorry this is going up a bit late. Macro Monday took a bit of a backseat to all the news about Robin Williams. I grew up to the dude's comedy. He was a big part of my childhood... Continue reading

Last night, Katie and I watched the movie Divergent. It was my first time seeing it and Katie's third as she saw it with the SiL twice in theaters. A little extra background on the viewings, she saw it the... Continue reading

That's what I see, too. But I only see one frame instead of three. And it seems some of the text is gone too. You're right, only in the last couple months.

That's been the plan to move to new blogware but I haven't had the time to play. I'm just worried about porting over all existing posts to whatever I choose. That scares me.

The only run is that I've already read it. Ten years ago. Wasn't sure if I should "read" again via audiobook or not.

Many of the reviews of Paddle on Goodreads reference how they were expecting it to be more like Bossypants, which most seemed to enjoy. I may read it sometime but, for now, I'm going back to more historical stuff. I have a bio of President Garfield and another about George Washington's spy network sitting in Nook that I've been meaning to read for some time now. Meaty historical stuff. Right up my alley.
