I dreamt a new short story last night. While I still have to write it down, this go round, I also have to figure out how best to share it. You see, unlike a normal short story, this features characters... Continue reading

One friend said it looked like an opaque version of the alien skull from that travesty of an Indiana Jones movie. I can see it. All in the brow ridges.

Years ago, my dad had asked me to create a logo for a side business he was considering starting up. It never materialized, but his request had always stuck with me for one simple reason... I am terrible at logo... Continue reading

I really would've accepted any "whipped cream"-esque answer to last week's challenge photo. But when Katie's cousin, Stacy, nailed it with Redi-Whip, she became the only acceptable answer. Specificity, FTW! How about this one? See you next week! Continue reading

The Rio Olympics are done. Katie and I are really rather sad about that. We enjoy watching the games. Thankfully Nathan was either going to bed at a reasonable hour so we could watch at night or, on occasion during... Continue reading

In this day and age, you do need to worry. I get that. But I was there with my son and all she had to do was walk in and assess the situation. I was sitting flat on my ass. I wasn't going anywhere quickly.

Katie went to see Bad Moms with our SiL. I don't expect her back for a while because they like to go out afterwards. I got Nathan down to sleep before 9 p.m. I don't expect him to wake up... Continue reading

The next week or so is a big time for Nathan. On Thursday, he will be attending a meet-and-greet with his preschool teacher and other students. Saturday is his fourth birthday party. The following Tuesday will be his first day... Continue reading

I know. And thanks. It just sucks that the world is so quick to make these assumptions when it would've taken a mere five more seconds to figure it out.

Today, I took the day off to spend with Katie and Nathan. We decided a good use for the day would be to go to the pool again before it closes for the season. Woo! After a while, Nathan got... Continue reading

Watching the Olympics, Katie and I have seen an inordinate number of ads for some new reality show on NBC called Better Late Than Never. It stars Henry Winkler (Fonzie), William Shatner (Caotain Kirk), George Foreman (retired boxer), and Terry... Continue reading

I recently discovered something while checking out my comic books. Apparently one of my favorite comic books, Kanan: The Last Padawan, hadn't dropped a new issue in about four months or so. This isn't completely uncommon. Sometimes, when a comic... Continue reading

1956 Summer Games in November/December? Interesting! Especially since, at that time, summer and winter games were held in the same year instead of the two-year stagger they have now.

It was a bit obscure last week, but one of Katie's cousins correctly guessed the Macro Monday challenge photo. Any guesses this week? A couple people on Facebook already know it. See you next week! Continue reading

While I wish this was actually the product of Adam Driver, I will have to settle for a fan voice re-creation as well as recycled footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But I'll take it as this is one... Continue reading

I discovered a feature in the Fitbit app recently that I had never paid attention to previously... their activity tracker. Basically it takes all your movement that occurs during a given period, presumably a workout, and marks it down on... Continue reading

No, not the rapper, but the old computer company, Texas Instruments. In fact, this is me, circa approximately 1987, playing a Pac-Man emulator that either my dad or I programmed in BASIC on our TI99/4-A. I loved that computer. Even... Continue reading
