Didn't Shaq say last yr KG's knees were hurting him. Before the Pacer game KG was also icing his ankle. But yeah time is running out for him and everyone else.
Your Morning Dump... Where it's KG's fault
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. And that, in a nutshell, is the story behind the 2011-12 Celtics. Garnett, the linchpin of one of the best defensive teams i...
More of the same will probably continue to the end of the regular season. No matter how much tinkering Doc does the C's just are not the same. I am not expecting any comeback to get them into the playoffs.
Taking Stock: C's-Pacers
After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value. Starters Paul Pierce: The 21 points were great, the 6 turnovers were not, neither was the 5-12 shooting. But he was drawing fouls and he he was producing more than he has been. On ...
I guess that settles that....Danny the one who decided to trade Perk...and what did we get in return?...yea right
VIDEO: Doc: "Perk's a Celtic, I don't give a CRAP what uniform he has on"
After the Celtics lost tough game to the Indiana Pacers, Doc addressed to the media there that things would only get tougher with Oklahoma City coming to Boston on Monday night. When asked about Perk, well, Doc had the following to say (watch the video below):
Hope , faith whatever you want to call it is disappearing. The C's organization has/is struggling to put things together & it doesn't look like they'll find a solution any time soon to dig them out of a deepening hole. This is no longer a championship team roster, just a good team. They're running on empty. Time to plan for next year's roster.
Taking Stock: C's-Mavericks
After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value. Starters Paul Pierce: I know we want Paul Pierce to just step onto the court and be "Paul Pierce" again. Considering how this team has been playing, it's going to be hard for Pierce get...
Big 3 looking old and tired. This team's prime days are long over. Rondo only one looking good out there. Time to pass the torch.
Recap: Dirk delivers dagger in win over Cs
Dirk Nowitzki blew past Kevin Garnett for the game-winning circus lay-up as the Mavericks beat the Celtics 90-85. This was a game the Mavericks were supposed to lose. Back-to-back road games. Three games in four nights. Meanwhile, the Celtics had four days off. I'll be kind and say the Celtics ...
Remind me again why we traded Perk!!!
Your Morning Dump... the toughness issue is back
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “We don’t have a big body like (Kendrick) Perkins or a guy like Big Baby (Glen Davis),” Paul Pierce [stats] said. “But it doesn...
The ball was sticking in Rajon's hands too, he was dribbling too much. Agree with Tommy that Rajon needs to rethink dribbling the ball at the top of key killing the shock clock to 5 sec which limits possible ball movement. He does it a lot but the majority of time it isn't productive. Yes Tommy it drives me crazy too.
Recap: Pacers dominate the glass, win going away
I'll start by quoting reader Perry Manno in the comments of our game preview: Winning the battle of the glass is at a premium tonight. Indy leads the league in second chance opportunities. Psycho T, West and Hibbert averaging 3.5 OR/night. When PP crashes the boards we win, so let's keep that...
Celtics are a good team but no longer an elite contending team. They haven't even hit the difficult part of their schedule with back to backs and they are playing like this. So does Danny do a repeat performance and trade players at the new March Deadline.
So much for the Jeff Green /Perkins trade. What a bust that was!!

Danny's lies just doing damage control after the trade fell through, but wonder who "leaked" the Rondo trade to media. Doc in one of the pressers even used the words "leaked out." But more important who leaked the bottle throwing incident to the media to profile Rondo in such a bad light and wonder at the timing of it. The C's locker room internal strife is usually kept tightly closed to public.
Your Morning Dump... Ainge is not shopping Rondo (rinse and repeat)

Well said!

Two weeks a long time.....can lose a lot of games in 2 wks.
Pietrus still about two weeks away
Twitter / @gwashburn14: #Celtics GM Danny Ainge te ... via kwout Mickael Pietrus, like it or not, is now extremely important to this team's success. We need him in uniform, but we also need him healthy and ready to finish the season. Obviously Paul Pierce is the most important ...
Just reading Westbrook and Durant arguing and had to be separated. Well now is the time for Danny to do a trade Rajon to OKC. I'd take Westbrook. We need offense and Rajon well he should be excited to be back with his buddy Perk. All around everyone should be happy. Like something has to happen w this team and SOON.
Taking Stock: C's-Hornets
After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players... and maybe coach's... performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game No One: You think I'm buying anyone after that pile of crap? O...
Starting to believe Rajon's bored nonchalont attitude is just an act to hide the fact that he knows he is being schooled by other pt guard and looking to establish an excuse for his poor play.
Enemy Chatter: Jarrett Jack schooled Rajon Rondo
I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from New Orleans. Jarrett Jack absolutely schooled Rajon Rondo offensively; Rondo had no chance of staying in front of Jack on a number...
Whistle happy refs like Joey Crawford should be sent down to the D-league for a season....starting with Joey Crawford to set a precedent .
NBA rescinds two technical fouls from two-point loss to Knicks
Remember Christmas... when the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks by two points? Remember how the referees called SIX technical fouls, thanks in no small part to Mr. Happy Whistle Joey Crawford? Well... guess what? The league says Joey was a little overzealous. Rivers added that two of th...
Thinking Chris Paul may not have been even able to save this team if that trade went down. Rajon, well he may ended up liking playing with a younger Hornet team. Rondo wasting his prime playing with old guys who are running on empty.
The Celtics may dig themselves yet another hole, not winning enough games to even get to the playoffs. Time for another overhaul for some younger legs sooner than later. OJ Needs to do everyone a favour and retire and KG well he's put on hold for now.
How many back to backs this season??? Wow we only started. What does Danny do now???
Your Morning Dump... Where we're all a little concerned
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. O’Neal has played 60 minutes in three games and scored just eight points on 3-for-12 shooting. He grabbed six rebounds agains...
SLAM! Did you hear that, I think it was a window closing.
Recap: Hornets take a steamy dump all over the Cs
The Celtics were out-played, out-muscled and out-hustled tonight by the New Orleans Hornets. With this being the 3rd road game in 4 nights, I expected the Celtics to play lethargic and sloppy. But I did not expect them to be dominated. It's terrifying to think we may see more efforts like thi...
And the owners were complaining about losing $$ in the league....
Kwame Brown just got $7 million
Twitter / @WojYahooNBA: Kwame Brown's deal with th ... via kwout Yes. That's SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS! And that's for a guy who produced 7.9 ppg and 6.8 rpg last season. And I know I've seen people say "well, he was OK last year and he's not a bad defender"... bullshit. This is an unjustifi...
League saying Training Camps and Free Agnecy starts at 2PM Friday. Will Ainge still shop Rajon until then or was Ainge's only goal getting CP. If Rajon stays with the C's the Pressure is ON for 66 games. All eyes on Rajon now including team mates to get them to the playoffs.
Breaking Update: Chris Paul to LA in 3-team deal with Houston
Twitter / @WojYahooNBA: Hornets working to finaliz ... via kwout Starting a new post just to manage this a little bit better. Let's see how this all shakes out.
Losing pay cheques ...I think these players are being very serious.
Jeff Green is so, like, whatever about the lockout
The big criticism about Jeff Green is that he looks indifferent out on the court sometimes. People want to see him get pissed, or happy, or something when he's on the court. But that's who he is. That's how he lives life. And that's how he is looking at the lockout. Green said he hadn't s...
One of owners' system terms which breaks existing contract is for mid level player to go from 5 million to 2.5 million over a two yr period instead of current 5 yrs. This is for the next 10 yrs. The tax penalties proposed also limit free agency movements so players have less say in where they want to go. Now Your saying that players should suck it in and take it.
Boy I sure would NOT want you on my negotiating team!!!! You are beginning to sound like Stern.
Your Morning Dump... The union needs to surrender
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “We’ve been given the ultimatum,” union president Derek Fisher said, “and our answer is, that’s not acceptable to us.” Union...
Finely the truth of the owners' intentions ... fair negotiations??? I think the owners are the ones being greedy. Lockout a negotiation strategy to get players to cave in and own them??
Owners luxury tax proposal is ridiculous
SI got its hands on the owners luxury tax proposal. All I can say is... wow! In a nutshell, it starts at a $1.75-to-1 tax that increases 50 cents every five million you're over the cap. Follow that link for the exact breakdown, which will make more sense when you see it. The kicker, and the p...
If that's the logic then Miami Heat's contracts for LeBron James Dwayne Wade Chris Bosh set up the lock up for this round. Maybe Stern should enforce contrition as he has mentioned earlier & shut down the markets that can't sustain a NBA team. Atlanta lost their NHL team due to financial trouble so if the NBA is struggling in that city too doesn't it make sense to find a market that can sustain the sport or pay to have star players like Pat Riley did rather than just crying about the losses. Isn't that why Pat Riley paid huge dollars for the Heat 3 because they couldn't fill the seats & losing $$. The Heat Big 3 brought back the pple & $$. Isn't that why there is a concern should Chris Paul leave his team. Isn't kevin Durant the one that put OKC back into the market $ and so on it goes. So yea star players get the big bucks but the owners are making big dollars having them on their roster too.
The only decent player MN had going for them at the time was KG. Without him how many seats would have they filled?
By the way the NHL team when in Atlanta couldn't sell tickets well their new home in Winnipeg sold out the whole season tickets in 2 hours.
Aschburner pointing the finger at Kevin Garnett
NBA.com's Steve Aschburner thinks Kevin Garnett deserves some blame for the Players Union not accepting the owners offer yesterday. Here's a brief exchange Aschburner had with a Twitter follower this morning: Kevin Garnett's contract triggered the last lockout. His input Tues, w/ Kobe & others, ...
Union issues bringing these guys together. These players can form quite a power house against Stern & owners.
Ray & Paul partied with Melo, LeBron & Wade
From the NY Post: On Friday night Carmelo Anthony held court, playing host to Miami Heat’s LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, taking the guys to the five-year anniversary party of Meatpacking hotspot Tenjune. The basketball greats were treated to a DJ set ...
Rondo's undergraduate degree he's working on to finish, what did he major in?
Rondo's almost a college graduate
Rajon Rondo left Kentucky as a freshman sophomore (oops) but that obviously didn't mean he was done with school. At an appearance today, Rondo revealed that he's more than halfway towards earning his diploma. Rondo has returned to the University of Kentucky to continue working toward his b...
I am an avid Redsarmy reader but I getting saturated with all the trade speculations. In the end Danny does what he does so I think I am going on hiatus for awhile...all due respect to Redsarmy.
Trade Ray for Josh Smith? Celtics Fans React
Piggybacking off of the morning dump post earlier (wait, that just sounds wrong on so many levels) I posed a simple, yet loaded question to Celtics fans on Twitter: Would you include Ray Allen in a trade for Josh Smith? The answers flew in as fast and furious as a Josh Smith fast break dunk, bu...
