Hello! A few months ago I was looking for a project to do for a friend that is expecting, and I happened upon this blog post. I loved the quick and easy quilt design with the ribbons on each end, so I made it!
The blanket is now with the expecting mother and she loves it, so thank you so much for your post!

Oh man, it’s the truth. Did Highlights have articles in it? Because all I remember is finding things, like a pair of scissors, a shoelace and a snake in a forrest scene.
Highlights also makes me think of those weird toys in the pediatrician’s waiting room, the ones with the thick wires stuck in blocks of wood, with beads that you had to pass from one point to another. They were completely pointless and always looked like way more fun than they were.
