I know how you feel.
The Cubs are never consistent. Either they are hitting great and thier pitching sucks, or vice versa.
so frusterating.
I hope we take the next two from the Sox. We have 9 more home games in a row. We need to win a lot of them. And we need someone the other teams to shut down the Cardinals and the Reds. I have been a fan long enough to know this season is pretty much over unless a miracle happens. Lou doesn't have much time left. He's going to get fired if that miracle doesn't happen soon...
Cub Fans, why are we doing this?
Once in awhile, I have to put this painting to remind myself why I'm doing this. Way back when, I used to just do a "Cubs Journal" - my sketchbook that just kinda chronicled the season. I'd scanned the paintings and put 'em up on a wall at the agency (they're still there), and a couple peo...
Haha, nice post.
I said in the 4th that the one run lead wasn't safe. I had to listen on the radio, so I had to hear the extremely boring Pirates commentary. I swear I almost fell asleep. Then, all of the sudden, the guy starts yelling and I remember why I am sitting by a radio. Then then I instantly turned it off. Homerun -.-
Come On Cubs. Score Some Points!
Something bad is happening to me. Last week I was at Wrigley and after the singing of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", I did that thing that Harry used to do. As loud as I could I yelled, "LETS SCORE SOME POINTS!" And this woman next to me says, "You know, in baseball they don't score points. ...
The Pirtates are the worst in the NL Central. The Numbers may say the Astros, but, the Cubs haven't been able to take many games this year from the Pirtates. if they would have managed to do so this season, Pirates would be at the bottom.
And do you know what the blackhawk fans yell during the national anthem?
It's like Brian Campbell never busted his collarbone at all.
This Blackhawk team is filled with tough guys, but Brian Campbell began playing with his busted collarbone only about a month after that chicken hit from Alexander Ovechkin. A busted collarbone has the kind of hurt to it that makes you not want to move at all, let alone go play freakin' pro...
Cub's Formula To Success: 4 Runs. They haven't lost many of the games this year that they have scored 4+ runs. Just like last year. and Well, Cards won and Cubs lost. The next two games will decide what my following actions will be ;)
Albert Pujols at Wrigley means Lou Piniella gets a sore neck.
I have no idea how many home runs Albert Pujols has hit at Wrigley Field, but it's not a small number. Actually, he's pretty much an equal opportunity NL-Killer, but you just notice them more here at Wrigley since lots of them fly out to the street or somebody's yard. And yesterday he hit 3 ...
Sorry haven't been here in awhile.
I just have to say that the Cubs are really starting to tick me off.
Wells pitched 16 pitches Friday
Lee is in somewhat of a slump.
Rami is batting under .200 (He needs to spend some time in the Triple A,)
Soriano almost dropped a fly ball a few days ago
I made a bet with one of my friends that the Cubs would win the series, saying they would lose the first game, win the second, and win the third by a run. (I was doing good until Albert had to screw things up)
Theriot had an error or two, right?
I swear, if we don't take two from the Pirtates, and the Reds don't take two from the Cardinals, someone is gonna get hurt.
Go Cubs! Go Wells Today (he's already over 16 pitches, doing good)

For the Cardinals to lose three of four against the Phillies is huge... if only Cubbies could have won, atleast one! We would have been that much closer. Cardinals are in Chicago the last three days of this much, pray for some wins there.
Cubs Swept by Pirates. I'll say it with flowers.
Well, that doesn't work so well now does it? I mean, love the contrast - the beautiful flowers and the ugly headline. There's a certain grace yet lack of diginity here, don't you think? If this painting was a wine, you might say, "Well it knocks on the door, yet never quite comes in." A bunc...
Yeah.. it's so frustrating watching the Cubs at times. They won like 14-7? And then they lose 14-2... they are down 2-0.. Come on!
Happy Mother's Day, Mothers of Cub Fans

Ahh I so hope this is the Cub's Year. And I am looking forward to see what you have to say about ALFANSO SORIANO HITTING TWO HOMERUNS IN ONE GAME! I live in St. Louis and we only occasionally get Cub games. So, when I do get to watch, I expect a win. And it being 10-2 in the eigth brightens my day.
Bob Howry: The Challenger!
You didn't see that one coming, did ya? Full count on Alfonso Soriano with 2 out, Marlon Byrd on base, Mike Fontenot on deck. Just what will ex-Cub stud turned tomato can reliever Bob Howry do? CHALLENGE him, of course. He thinks, "Hmm. Fastball or... fastball?" (he has no other choices)....
