The fun of having girls.
I often look longingly at all of the fun hair accessories in the 100yen shops but I think that Max will never forgive me if I torture him with hair accessories.
Hair-do
Nora lives a block away, and is a 5th grader at Rosa Parks. Since last year, we've been carpooling with Nora, making our commute a whole lot better, and we've been delighted to get to know Nora. Everyone knows Tesla comes to school with Nora; she's like a big sister at school for Tesla. Anyway,...
You guys always look so happy at BM. I love all the photos on here and on Flickr. Thanks babe.
Burning Man 2012 - Family Lemonade Stand
Despite our RV breaking down, us having to switch quickly to tent camping mode (which we hadn't done in years, and now have 2 little ones in tow), and having to rely on campmates to bring us our car, and carry all our theme camp stuff, we had a great year! It was a lot of work, but at least for ...
Yes these are the sorts of moments that I treasure from feeding/nurturing my child.
A snippet I want to keep
Putting Aila to bed, her dressed in her rainbow striped PJs, I sat in T's small kid chair in front of Aila's crip, breastfeeding Aila. Singing my 寝んね song to her. She had blankie, and massaged it for comfort with one hand, while on the boob. I know her feedings are coming to an end, albeit slowl...
Great post.
We also really enjoyed the fruit everywhere.
We stayed way up north of Phuket near the airport. Super lovely but we really didn't see much of the local shops. We had a kitchen in our hotel room so we tended to buy groceries and cook.
We ate lots of street food in Bangkok though.
Thailand Days Three and Four
Our trip to Thailand this March already seems like ancient history, so I'm just going to put up some pictures from the last two days before I completely forget everything. At this point it's more for more for our own memories (this blog is basically an online scrapbook) than anything else, so fe...
WANT!! We use Hikari TV but even with all the channels, we are still at the mercy of the programmers and get stuff late.
I really want to see Downtown Abbey - am a sucker for anything that even smells like a period drama. Oh and BBC and Australian ABC kids - can you get that?
Cheers,
Tracey

I pride myself on the fact that my child has no idea who Elmo is. And I would love for you to believe that I have managed some sort of coup of hippie screen-free genius, but alas, this is not the case. The only thing keeping my child from knowing the wonders of Elmo and his third-person sque...
What did Miss T do to prevent her from attending the Halloween party?
BTW I LOVE my ergo.
Round up
With little time to sit around blogging, most of my documentation has been simple flickr uploading, but there are a few memories I want to keep here. By far, the most pleasure is seeing Tesla love Aila. We have never seen a modicum of jealously, and she has been nothing but helpful in caring for...
I wonder the same thing too when I see my baby wave and blow kisses at Grandparents on SKYPE. What must a baby think of faces that talk via the screen and then disappear at the touch of a mouse.
My baby is also fascinated by any buttons with lights - power switches especially and also light switches. I have an old iPhone that has now been adopted by my 14 month old. He can only press the home button at the moment but he is slowly figuring it all out. Scary really. I wonder what technology his kids will experience.
Stream of Consciousness Sunday: 21st Century Baby
I Skyped my sister today. I didn’t have much to tell her, so I showed her all of Stella’s new party tricks. “How old are you, Stella?” She holds up one finger. She bows her head in greeting. She can bring her finger up to her face and say “Shhhhhh!” Though it sounds more like “Ssssssss.” When w...
Shuma was born the day before Max.
Enoshima aquarium is awesome. It has the best main tank I have ever seen. And I have been to alot of aquariums.
Birthday boy
Shuma's first birthday has come and gone (like, a month and a half ago) without mention yet, but don't think we didn't do anything. His birthday is September 20th, which this year was in the middle of the week so rather than one big party we did a series of things. I don't think one-year-olds ar...
