I have been following the dolphins since 1971. I have to admit that there sure seems to be a different vibe coming from the whole organization this year. I am again excited about the upcoming season, a feeling I have not had in a long time!
Dolphins four-wide package a big upgrade
OTA days don't directly translate to regular season success. Players that look brilliant in shorts sometimes fade in the padded violence of games. But OTA do speak to alignments and the vision of a coaching staff. They do serve to provide a glimpse of what may be coming in those areas. And that'...
Look, this girl should have been raised better. Her parents should have taught her the meaning of the word "responsibility". If they had talked to her about her sexuality and then taught her about being responsible, she would not be in this situation. This is not about her being gay or straight, it is about her irresponsible behavior that violated the law. It doesn't reflect kindly on her parents that they also want to excuse her behavior. This case is a perfect example of the moral decay of this society and the total disintegration of the family unit in this country. And before you people out there start to excuse her behavior also, simply because she is 18, I ask that you remember that in this country you can volunteer to lay down your life in the service of the military at the age of 18, 17 if you have the consent of one parent.
Lesbian, 18, faces 15 years in prison for having sex with 14-year-old high school basketball teammate
BY STEVE ROTHAUS, srothaus@MiamiHerald.com More than 105,000 supporters since Friday have signed an Internet petition demanding felony sex charges be dropped against an 18-year-old lesbian who dated a 14-year-old high-school basketball teammate. Kaitlyn Hunt of Indian River County is charged ...
Armando,
can you confirme that the Fins ave also signed Ellerbe away from the Ravens?
Mike Wallace is a Miami Dolphin
MIke Wallace and the Dolphins have agreed to a five-year contract that will pay him between $60 and $65 million if he meets all its incentives. The contract includes a substantial amount of guaranteed money. Although that figure is not yet known, it will be approximately $30 million. Wallace wil...
Bah Blah Blah. Please.....don't quit your day job. But again........maybe......you should!
GM Salguero's outline offseason plan
My offseason plan for getting the Miami Dolphins to the playoffs in 2013? I'm glad you asked. First of all, you have to understand I come at this from a multiple-pronged approach. I don't just think the Dolphins are broken on the field. I think they need mending off the field -- as in with their...
Let Long go, unless he agrees to less money.
Draft Lee from SoCal.
Draft Notre Dames' Tight End
Draft Tavon Austin from West Virginia as another WR.
Then draft for a CB and younger LB
Fins' receiver, tight end free agent options; UM roster moves; Wade addresses Barkley; Marlins
WEDNESDAY BUZZ COLUMN Some Dolphins fans lit up when they heard Miami will have at least $40 million, with the ability to create more than $50 million in cap space this offseason, when star receivers Greg Jennings, Dwayne Bowe and Mike Wallace are due to become free agents. But as the offseason ...
One more comment.....did anybody else see the ticker on Fox, I think, that reported that the dolphins are not going to resign Reggie Bush? It was befrore the start of the game.
Titans lead Dolphins 31-3 to start fourth quarter
Chris Johnson just went over 100 yards, marking the first time the Dolphins have given up a 100-yard game to any running back in 22 games. On another note, the Dolphins are getting destroyed, 31-3. Northing has gone right today. This has been a total team collapse so far. And the live blog and g...
Man, I was upset when I say all of the empty seats on TV but I guess the local fans know this team better than all of us long distance fans. To me it seems the players not only lack the physical ability sometimes but also the mental apptitude to make some basic decisions (Thigpen allowing a punt early on to simply bounce further out of bounds in fins territory.) Also it seems the coaches get paid to prevent a team from looking too far ahead. Coaching today really seemed to suck. Sherman runs a Dink-and-Dunk Offensnse that teams now have film on and are making adjustments. And it looks like the Defense is that old Bend-but-don't-Break defense that really sucked during the Marino Years. I want to think that bettter days are ahead but it seems to me the coaches are playing for better draft position for the 9 picks in the upcoming draft.

Two points
1- Did Chand Henne not prove that having a strong arm is not a guarantee of wins?
2- Why is Pat Devlin not being tslked about atleast as a competitor?
Getting Flynn at right price as important as getting him
The question today is apparently not whether the Dolphins will try to sign Matt Flynn. It seems if the team gets a chance to sign the Green Bay free agent backup quarterback, that is exactly what will happen. No, the question I believe more important is not whether the Dolphins will try to sign ...
Would it not be nice if we signed Fisher as the new HC and then Philbin as the new OC and then Lynn as the new QB?
Jeff Fisher: Decision next week
Jeff Fisher is done with his initial meetings with the Dolphins and St. Louis Rams and he will decide between the two next week, according to ESPN. Fisher apparently said idependently or told the network he won't decide between the two teams until next week, which suggests he'll take the weekend...
I pulled a hamstring just reading this article. :)
Dolphins banged up on a short week
It's a short week to prepare but also a short week to recover from injuries as the Dolphins prepare for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. The team has a lot of recovering to do. Brandon Marshall has a quadriceps injury and missed practice today. Reggie Bush has a groin injury and missed ...
Great song quote Finkle, or is it Einhorne:)
The Tuesday afternoon postscript on the secondary
To piggyback on the last post, let me update you with what coach Tony Sparano says about some members of the secondary and what seems likely to happen going forward. Vontae Davis is back practicing after missing two starts. He seems ready to play and will start, barring an unfortunate setback be...
Odinseye,
I have seen your entries here for sometime and they are truly entertaining but I may have to start referring to you as odinsbrowneye.
So David Garrard saga wasn't about money
There is one side's story. There is the other side's story. And there is the truth. And, here I am, stuck in the middle with you. I am the idiot always trying to chase the truth while both sides often run for cover or tell different versions of the same story. Such is the David Garrard saga. As ...
Hambone Jones,
Dude you had me in tears I was laughing so hard at your comment!
Some of the tough decision facing Dolphins coaches
The Dolphins are about to play their final preseason game before making their round of roster cuts to get down to the NFL 53-man roster limit and coach Tony Sparano says "hard choices" are about to be made. I'll say. I'm looking at players such at Will Allen, Phillip Merling, Tyrone Culver, Gera...
I don't think the Patriots have any "Alpha" receivers, do they? Oh...wait they do have Ms. Ochocinco, sorry
WR job available so why wasn't Edwards in mix?
I know the Dolphins are not a fantasy football team. They operate under a salary cap. They make personnel decisions by weighing risks of potential roster additions as well as the potential improvement those additions might bring. There are no guarantees any addition will pan out because, as Bill...
Can you say "Bush to the left,Thomas to the left, and yes......Marshall to the left." :) I think Long and Incognito are going to be down right nasty this year, but the other side ?????? I hope Pouncey works out.
The curious whirlwind that is the Dolphins O line
Four years. That is how long its taken the Dolphins to build their offensive line. Four years. That is how long its taken to set what is supposed to be a foundation, a building block to the team. And we're probably not truly, surely, securely set yet. Tony Sparano and Jeff Ireland have got to be...
