Well, life has been busy. The journey took me away from blogging for a while - not much scrapping was being done, so it felt like there was not much to share - Facebook got more time & blogging less... Continue reading

Despite the crazy weather we had a great day at the Plunket Fundraiser at Sylvia Park today. A couple of new faces were added to the board for the event.....this adorable pirate: I just love the stubble! So cute. And the most popular face of the day was definately the Rainbow Butterfly..... Another one that was popular with the girls was the Princess Crown: Thanks to Anna from the Plunket committe for inviting me to join in the fun. Anna also runs her own small business Solar Treasures, so check out the gorgeous solar lights you can get from her. Continue reading

I haven't had a chance to share these two faces yet.... Over the Christmas holidays Taiga decided I was allowed to paint her face, but she wanted to be Cookie Monster & Ebby decided to be Elmo - these were alot of fun to do.... Aren't they adorable! Continue reading

In February we had a great time at our family reunion. I pulled out the face paints to entertain the kids & everyone was thrilled with the results....the adults joined in the fun too. I was surprised that the boys were the first in line, but they loved becoming Ice Monsters for the day! Continue reading

I bought Margy Canter's book on nose animations a little while ago & have been a practicing :o) There are so many cute characters to choose from...and when you wiggle your nose the little cutie moves! First practice was the panda. And the adorable penguin.... I'll show you the monkey & the elephant tomorrow :o) Continue reading

I'm working my way through projects for the site & one of the first ones is the canvas. This makes such a cool project & the decorating possibilities are endless. In this project we use the die cutting machine, which is always popular with the kids. There's also painting & punching, layering, stamping, inking & embossing - loads of fun! A 3"x4" photo is ideal for this project - or a standard photo that can be chopped down to size...so you want to make sure there's a bit of background that can be chopped off :o) Continue reading

I've just been doing some work on the website today, updating the pages with the relevant info for the parties. Uploading some images & having a play around in photoshop, but my good brushes are on the PC, while I've been playing on the laptop - so a little bit of mismatching, I might have to tidy it up later but at least there's some imagery on the pages for now. Continue reading
I'm thinking about adding another type of party ....soap making parties. On Saturday I went to a soap making workshop & it was a ton of fun! I learned cold press soap making - which I think is a bit too much for kids - given the caustic soda element - but I think melt & pour would be so much fun, along with bath salts & fizzies. So, I have some very pretty smelling soap curing out in my studio - cold press soap takes 6 weeks to cure - but melt & pour is pretty much ready to... Continue reading
