When I read books or watch films the most important thing to me is a happy ending. When I was a little younger I used to love horror movies, or movies that would leave you walking out of the cinema with a new and altered view on the world. Now,... Continue reading

Well first of all let me apologise for yesterday! Re-reading what I posted yesterday I think I nailed it in the first two lines and should have just stopped there rather then carrying on in the downward spiral that was the post! I think I feel marginalised because I see... Continue reading

So I've never been great around people. I don't think that so much people's fault as mine. I often feel odd and uncomfortable around strangers. Generally on the whole I'm terrified of people. I'm supposed to be posting tonight about a new fund raising idea for KAS on their forum.... Continue reading

There is something wonderful about cleaning the house when the sun is streaming in. Especially that low winter/autumn sun. Unexpected sun is better than summer sun I think. When I left work Friday (slightly early admittedly but only by half an hour) the sky was a slightly lighter blue than... Continue reading

Lovely post! Its cold, wet and windy here in England and I'm longing for that first spring walk. I also can't wait to get out in my garden and plant some veg! I bet your neighbor was just as cheery as I will be planting my first stuff out. In other news my copy of 'The Day After and other stories' arrived. Excellent work! Please, please write more. There are very few authors who I'm not able to put down and you're one of them. I think your characters are awesome because they are believable and so SO interesting. I love your other books (Reading 'Just a Geek' at the moment), but I think you could do so much with your fiction writing YAY. You write it, I'll buy it =) Sorry for long comment, I promise to be shorter and snappier in future =)

Why does Twitter make me feel included in people's lives rather than like a freaky stalker? Surely getting little insights into peoples lives whom I find interesting would at any other time be looked at as a little bit stalkery? Instead it makes me happy that these interesting people and... Its been a week full of thoughtful goodness. Stargazing Live, Derren Brown, and a particular beat poem by Tim Minchin. A lot of these things centre around science and science being the only explanation for things. I love Brian Cox's straight 'NO' when someone says something that is entirely unproven.... Really enjoyed the Stargazing Live show tonight. It was the second of 3. I made myself put down the crochet hook tonight because I think I missed some brilliant views yesterday. It makes me wish I had more hours in the day/didn't need to sleep so I could study that... Continue reading

In a doing mood today. Have sat and done some tasks on my list. I'm currently in the middle of working on a possible project for Knit-a-Square The plan is to try and make some merchandise (starting with car window stickers as suggested by Pam) and sell them. Profits to... Continue reading

Good intentions often go astray. I started a daily diary last year but that got forgotten about after a week. I hope this won't go the same way but I dare say it will! I'm hoping the feeling that I might be updating people (if anyone ever reads this) might... Continue reading
