The Guild: Season 4
Here's the teaser trailer for season four of The Guild:
Glad you are back on Leverage and I hope Franks will be in the captain’s chair.
As for me, I'm not believing Smith as the Doctor. Not even a little. Wish I could. I love the show. Well, loved.
in which cha0s returns to #leverage, and @wilw gets screwed by drm for the last time
I've known about this for over a month, but I couldn't even hint at it until today: I'm returning to Leverage later this season, as superhacker Cha0s. WIRED's Underwire talked to me a little bit about it, and broke the news earlier today. I also wrote another column for Techland, about how I got...

It’s amazing how an event can make you recall the most mundane of activity. I was sticking coins in a vending machine, trying to get some breakfast before an early Tuesday morning Art History class at Cal State Northridge, when a girl walked up, clearly upset. I asked her what was wrong, and she told me what had happened. I couldn’t go to class, and just ended up watching the news with roommates in my dorm room all day.
some of us are looking at the stars
On January 28, 1986, I was home from school with the flu. I remember that, no matter what I did, I couldn't get warm, so I was sitting in a hot bath when my mom knocked on the bathroom door. "There was an accident with the space shuttle," she said, in the same voice she used when she told me th...
Tease.
Hey, has it been long enough for a Buck Rogers reboot, or as I remember it, the Colonel Wilma Deering Show.
This Property Is Condemned
So I received a royalty statement from one of my publishers this weekend. And I'm not bragging when I say there were a lot of zeroes in there. A lot. Unfortunately, there were no numbers preceding them. And naturally, the sight of all those goose eggs put the fear of Grodd into me. What if my n...

Congrats, Shawn.
Hey if the Hoosiers-turned-Californians-turned-Quirk-zombie-authors club needs a motto and or battle cry, how about "All for one, and one for braaaiinnsss..."

in which we are bound to the land, and the land is bound to us
I'm recovering HP and mana today by constructing a Vampire/Artifact deck for Magic: The Gathering. While opening boosters earlier, I came across a card in Zendikar called Landbind Ritual. It's a sorcery card that gives you two life for each plains card you control, and it has one of the most bea...
Outstanding NEWS!! Can't wait to see the episode.
Evil Wil Wheaton returns to The Big Bang Theory
Well, it's official. Evil Wil Wheaton is going back to The Big Bang Theory! From TV Guide Magazine: Geeks everywhere will be happy hear that Star Trek star Wil Wheaton will be returning to hang out with TV’s hippest nerds on The Big Bang Theory. “We were very excited when Wil Wheaton appeared...
My first anime – Starblazers. It used to come on right before school started and we’d always end up hauling ass to class late, because we stayed to watch the end of the episode. Then Akira, Robotech / Macross, Mobile Suit Gundam, Captain Harlock. When attending college in the late eighties at Cal State Northridge, I’d hang out at the Golden Apple where I started my collection of Robotech transformable mecha / toys. Still have several tubs full. SDF-1 Battle Fortress, Veritech and Alpha Fighters. Even tried getting that Rick Hunter hair cut. Some things
just don’t translate into the real world. And if anybody is wondering, it is not advisable to try and impress college girls in your dorm with your anime toys. Well, it didn’t work well in the 80’s. Maybe today’s college geeks are having better luck with their Macfarlane action figures.
The future is not a straight line. It is filled with many crossroads.
If you're of a certain age, do you remember the first time you saw AKIRA, or any of the Dirty Pair or original Macross cartoons? Coming from a steady diet of Hannah Barbera cartoons, it was like trading a transistor radio for a high-end stereo or seeing the grand canyon with my own eyes. The cin...
I agree with whatupdog, its like the original 1977 release of Star Wars. Perfect. Don't change it.
From the Vault: Still Cool
This is excerpted from something that was written eight years ago, almost to the day. In addition to being a story that still makes me smile, it provides context and back story for Friday's post that newer readers may not have. Even though I'm a much stronger and more confident writer now than I...
Well it’s good to catch up but I hope the lunch is a prelude to some more screen time.
Speaking of which, any news about The Guild Season 4?
in which a text is received and a phone call is made
I'm up to my neck in Memories of the Future Volume 2 work, but I wanted to take a minute to share something cool that happened yesterday... The familiar chirp of an Original Series communicator came out of my Blackberry, announcing the arrival of a text message. I thumbed it a couple times and r...
