Slanted toward memory? One blog by a top notch Lincoln scholar One book review blog One blog by one of the top scholars of Southern Unionism One group blog by three military historians One blog by a NPS ranger One blog by one of the top Civil War cavalry historians One information/commentary blog on First Bull Run Yeah...this really seems like a slanted blog list to me. :)

These are some catchy banners. I would like to know when you will introduce some themes that include horizontal navigation which you can find on many blogs over at WordPress

You say that Plus users have access to this, but the option does not appear. Was this a mistake?

I always look forward to the addition of new themes. One question, however: "Why must the post field be so narrow? Shouldn't there be an option to expand that field for those of us who want to maximize horizontal space? Thanks Kevin at Civil War Memory: www.civilwarmemory.typepad.com

I want to second Emily's comment. Please give us the opportunity to build on each design - even if this just involves being able to add a custom header. Also, when can we expect horizontal navigation? Seems to me that this is one of those areas that WordPress wins at hands down.

I am pleased to see the attention to new templates which is one of the reasons I recently decided to play around with WordPress. I would love to have horizontal navigation and can't tell from any of the images as to whether they are included in this latest round. Please allow for wider content fields. I am using the fluid option right now, but the jump to 500 is much too drastic. Give us wider fields as an option. As for the themes I think these have rather juvenile graphics and colors. I much prefer something more sophisticated.

I also would like to see wider templates. What I would like to see more than anything else, however, are templates with horizontal navigation which would make it possible to clean up the sidebars a bit.

I'm sure this is not the place to ask, but I was wondering if there are any plans to create new templates with horizontal navigation. I really enjoy typepad, but I have to admit to playing around with Wordpress the other day as I was looking for that feature in particular. They offer a way to place pages under the banner. The option would give me an opportunity to clean up some of my columns. Just a thought. Kevin Levin at Civil War Memory: www.civilwarmemory.typepad.com
