Eliza....did you even READ the story? They attempted to help individuals that had fallen through the cracks - as they have done in previous years - but they were thwarted in their efforts by the Post Office which changed their policy and wouldn't provide addresses for the letters from Santa.../ READ before you criticize their good deeds! (Though I do agree that $10k per family is excessive if it is just toys and "stuff" - are they paying off bills or buying necessities?)
