&^%$#@ sprinklers!!
I went to bed early last night. (930pm, which is REALLY early for me.) I got up early this morning. (345am, which is REALLY early for me.) After getting dressed (happily realizing that a shirt which hasn't fit me since I bought it now does!) I crept downstairs, readied a snack to take to work, a...

Thank you for this post. We're slowly heading into a new culture in our family and I am so excited to be looking toward staying at home again with renewed eyes--ones that allow me to be ME and not someone else.
Squam sounds lovely, I can't wait to investigate!!
a squam story
"The one thing I can say right now with enthusiasm and certainty is that if you're in the position to be considering attending Squam - either this fall or next year, but are on the fence for whatever reason - because you don't know anyone else going, because you're not sure it's worth the mone...

I actually find them at Albertsons as well! We also have a gluten free store called Janelle's in Everett and I'm pretty sure PCC and Whole Foods carry Schar. Hope that helps!
Review: Schar Gluten Free Ciabatta parbaked Rolls
Our house has been gluten free for about three years now (including my husband for almost two years! Yay!) and let me tell you, finding gluten free breads that have an enjoyabe taste and texture is really, really hard. I stumbled upon these rolls at a local gluten free health store. I wa...

REPOST: "Loving Accurately" (May 2010)
Here's the thing...we all can be self serving, pig headed, idiotic jerks sometimes. We have our own motives, our own plans, our own agendas. So the idea is to make sure that none of that is affecting the conversation we may have with someone. Because if you're in it for yourself, to get what you want, you're in it for the wrong reasons. I'm so glad you posted this. I'm looking through your new book which arrived today (Everett, WA!) and thinking, "Man, they just seem...perfect." which of course leads to feelings of inadequacy, even knowing full well you are not perfect, but have a great outlook on life. I'm a working mom who is very drawn to a lifestyle of slowness and handmade/homemade but my current lot in life is the necessity of me being away from home a good portion of the day, living in a house with a very small yard in a development where chickens are banned, etc etc. It is so good to know that other people have funkified days, even Soule Mama. =)
some days
Some days... ...are easier than others. Some days...I get lost driving to the same horse stable we've been riding at once a week for two years. Some days...the long drive home results in a toddler who falls asleep in the dreaded late afternoon "No Napping!" time zone. Some days...I find myse...
