Inside our Christmas: Tight space, tight budget.

We've been living in a very small (about 900 sqft) mother in law apartment since July. This was (is) an attempt to save money until a house we're going to rent from friends opens up next summer. This made Christmas a little...sticky. We also are on the tightest budget we've ever, EVER had. Which made things stickier. Snow in January

Saturday did not go as planned. Not at all. I woke up at 6am with a really bad migraine. The pain was so bad that in my dream I could feel the pounding and hear it too, it was so loud that I couldn't hear the person I was talking to (Dr. Clancy from my work). Then I woke up and boy....it was bad. So I took some ibuprophen, the only thing I could find that might actually help but also let me sleep. I actually find them at Albertsons as well! We also have a gluten free store called Janelle's in Everett and I'm pretty sure PCC and Whole Foods carry Schar. Hope that helps!

I'm so glad you posted this. I'm looking through your new book which arrived today (Everett, WA!) and thinking, "Man, they just seem...perfect." which of course leads to feelings of inadequacy, even knowing full well you are not perfect, but have a great outlook on life. I'm a working mom who is very drawn to a lifestyle of slowness and handmade/homemade but my current lot in life is the necessity of me being away from home a good portion of the day, living in a house with a very small yard in a development where chickens are banned, etc etc. It is so good to know that other people have funkified days, even Soule Mama. =)
