I created the "this" handwritten text cut file using my ipad with the skitch app. I just write words on a blank page and then save it to my camera roll. Open as a png file in the studio software and then use the trace function to convert it to a .studio file.

Hi Donna! Thanks so much for stopping by! To answer your question: I started by putting the stamps into the cases by category and then once they all had a home, I rearranged them so that they fit in the case more snug. Once I was happy with how they were placed, I stamped them one case at a time, one stamp at a time so that the stamped images were clear on the catalog pages. I will say that I think there's a lot to be said for categorizing if that's how you create best, kwim? I have a tendency to overlook things if everything is mixed together but that's because I mentally group things without even realizing it, ha! Please let me know how everything works out for you! I love that so many people have jumped on the stamp storage case bandwagon :)

Hi Jamie! The stamp cases take up a total of 1 1/2 feet on one of my shelves (and that's 38 cases). I do have woodmounted, wood handled, cling mount, and roller date stamps that I cataloged in my binder- each type of stamp has its own page in the catalog because I don't have that many of them. As my collection of the woodmounted stamps grows, I may end up adding an attachment page to the appropriate category- so I wouldn't be stamping them on the storage case catalog page (I only stamp what's in each case on the catalog pages), but on a separate page behind it. In terms of storage for the woodmounted stamps- I keep them in a basket on the shelf next to the stamp storage cases. Once the basket gets to small, I think I'll make a wall mounted shallow stamp shelf (like how they display wood stamps in stores). Thanks so much for stopping by, Jamie!

Hey Shana! It took me 2 evenings to do it but that's not including the prep work of cutting the labels, making the tabs, and getting the process on paper (I'm a planner with projects like this so I usually jot down a plan of attack first, ha!). The cross-referencing thing was an issue for me as well but ultimately, I decided not to do it because I wanted the catalog sheets to be exactly what was in each case. I ended up just choosing the category that I use most often because I am likely to check certain categories before others. Hope that makes sense, ha!

Yeah, it comes across as pretty complex when it's written out but in practice- it actually streamlines everything :)

Awe! Love you more girl! :) Those binders are amazing. I'm not just saying that- they're the best quality binder I've ever owned and that's saying something because I'm kind of a binder connoisseur, ha! I'm pretty sure you need one.

Hey Mandy!!! So glad you like it! When I ordered the cases, I had no concept of how many would fit into a case but I knew I had a big bin and a binder full of stamps so I went with 60 cases. I figured that would leave me plenty to grow into since I almost always get all the add ons and I'm pretty much a stamp freak, ha! As it stands, I'm using 38 cases so the rest I keep in a drawer so I can just grab them as I need them. They are also awesome for storing die cuts ;) xo, Kins

Thanks Anandi! I used to keep mine in a bin also and even with a makeshift catalog, it wasn't working for me. I forgot what I had even though I really love all of my stamps. I honestly tried like, 6 different organizational strategies and they were fine for a bit but in the end, flawed in one way or another. I love this system because the cases don't really take up that much real estate (about 1.5 feet of shelf space) and I already used the binder/catalog system for my inks. Also, I can add to it easily without having to shuffle things around.

Hey Vanessa! The catalog sheets are a little bit smaller- like 1/4 inch smaller on each side of the case/page. For some reason when I made the catalog sheet, I couldn't get them to print so I had to make the grids a little smaller. HTH!
