Welcome to Fast Friday! I am going to show you something you can make - FAST! But first a little funny to get your Friday going.... It's totally normal to have a hydraulic car jack in your studio, right? Yeah, I mean when you have to lift a work bench that weighs three times you do - it sure is! LOL I thought it was funny, then when my ten year old son Coleton came... Continue reading

I don't know about you but I sure hate spending $4.00-$5.00 on gift wrap. A nice gift bag and tissue will EASILY run you that much. Well today, I am going to share with you how to make a handmade gift bag. We will begin with a small brown handled bag and just embellish it! I like to start by picking out the papers, ribbons and embellishments I am going to work with. Plug in... Continue reading

LOL This card is so simple but it still is eye catching and I am sure anyone would love to get a card in the mail, right? I love to use hot glue when applying my larger embellishments, or textiles... Today I decided to tackle a project I have had on my "to do list" for quite some time. Well today I decided was THE DAY! Read on to see how... Continue reading

Thank you everyone for the prayers you have all said and good thoughts and wishes you have sent. I am sure that our friends have felt each and every one of them. I am sure that as they laid their sweet babe to rest today that it was your prayers holding them up, giving them strength and helping them put one foot in front of the next. Please continue to pray for them. As I... Continue reading

Tonight was one of the hardest nights of my life to date. Friends and neighbors of our lost their son/grandson on Saturday afternoon due to an accidental drowning. Sweet babe was not even three years old. I was heartbroken for the family and for the past three days have been just ill thinking of their loss and pain. Today I felt that The Lord was leading me to offer to "make impressions". So I offered... Continue reading

Good Morning! In December my big girl turned 8... as part of her birthday fun she was given a few dollar store mylar balloons for her birthday and not wanting my little one to feel left out I got her one too. Unfortunately, the balloon didn't last nearly as long my sweet girl had hoped, it became deflated and no longer floated happily throughout the house. Trying my best to keep her heart from being... Latisha Yoast has done a fabulous job of coordinating this big hop. I hope you have a great time hopping through! The rescue of a worn pair of little girls shoes that is! I have some really cute little girls shoes that my daughters just love. However the minute the toes get scuffed I feel like they lose some of their cuteness. They look sad & worn out. Well, Lily Kate out grew some shoes that still had plenty of life in them but I felt bad handing them I decided to go ahead and... Continue reading

There are days where I sit around and think of all the fabulous people in my life and I realize I am a pretty blessed girl. So in November rather than posting 30 Days of Thankfulness like I have in the past, I am going to send a few cards. I am going to PURPOSELY create AND send cards to some friends and thank them for their friendship. Today's card, though simple looking, took way... Continue reading

I really should just chalk this blog up to be a reality check into how a homeschooler's life can really infiltrate every other area of life! LOL!!! Here I am, a super crafty mom who loves creating and yet it seems I am more often working on "secret projects" that I can't share or on "kid stuff" now a days! Well today, I have some kid stuff for you! My kids and I are working... Continue reading

Today my post is to show & tell about some photos of my girls and one of their friends, learning to sew using Oly*Fun! This semester I wanted to teach a few little girls how to sew. I had decided our first sewing class needed to be quick, simple and inexpensive. I also want the girls to create a useful project at each class. My thinking was if they make a super simple, reusable shopping... Continue reading

I love when little girls wear hairbows. They just look so cute! I also love to make them, it saves me SO MUCH MONEY! I mean literally we are going to make these Upcycled DIY Fall Fashion Leather Hairbows using scrap leather and a few drops of hot glue. I like to use a rotary cutter, self healing mat and ruler to cut the leather because it's super crisp and perfectly straight, but don't worry... Continue reading
