Good Morning! In December my big girl turned 8... as part of her birthday fun she was given a few dollar store mylar balloons for her birthday and not wanting my little one to feel left out I got her one too. Unfortunately, the balloon didn't last nearly as long my sweet girl had hoped, it became deflated and no longer floated happily throughout the house. Trying my best to keep her heart from being... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Thanks for stopping/hopping on by today! I am so excited to be a part of this "give back to our readers" blog hop. Latisha Yoast has done a fabulous job of coordinating this big hop. I hope you have a great time hopping through! My blog has been very quiet lately and it's not because I haven't been crafting, I have been doing alot of "deadline & work crafting" vs "just for... Continue reading

Hi to all (or should I say few faithful) readers! Well, we have nearly reached the end of another year. As I have spent a few hours thinking of what I would really like to do differently in the new year one thing that keeps coming up is that I would like to do more "home projects" that will be useful and boost my family life. One project was this quick and simple couch revitalization... Continue reading

The rescue of a worn pair of little girls shoes that is! I have some really cute little girls shoes that my daughters just love. However the minute the toes get scuffed I feel like they lose some of their cuteness. They look sad & worn out. Well, Lily Kate out grew some shoes that still had plenty of life in them but I felt bad handing them I decided to go ahead and... Continue reading

There are days where I sit around and think of all the fabulous people in my life and I realize I am a pretty blessed girl. So in November rather than posting 30 Days of Thankfulness like I have in the past, I am going to send a few cards. I am going to PURPOSELY create AND send cards to some friends and thank them for their friendship. Today's card, though simple looking, took way... Continue reading

I really should just chalk this blog up to be a reality check into how a homeschooler's life can really infiltrate every other area of life! LOL!!! Here I am, a super crafty mom who loves creating and yet it seems I am more often working on "secret projects" that I can't share or on "kid stuff" now a days! Well today, I have some kid stuff for you! My kids and I are working... Continue reading

Today my post is to show & tell about some photos of my girls and one of their friends, learning to sew using Oly*Fun! This semester I wanted to teach a few little girls how to sew. I had decided our first sewing class needed to be quick, simple and inexpensive. I also want the girls to create a useful project at each class. My thinking was if they make a super simple, reusable shopping... Continue reading

I love when little girls wear hairbows. They just look so cute! I also love to make them, it saves me SO MUCH MONEY! I mean literally we are going to make these Upcycled DIY Fall Fashion Leather Hairbows using scrap leather and a few drops of hot glue. I like to use a rotary cutter, self healing mat and ruler to cut the leather because it's super crisp and perfectly straight, but don't worry... Continue reading

Today I have Elliott's Simple Fall Thank You Card to share with you. If any of you have been keeping up with me on Facebook you know that my son had a very nasty tumble from a longboard skateboard one month ago. It resulted in a trip to the ER (while away from home visiting family in NJ), a broken collar bone, a concussion and an overnight in the hospital due to a brief (PRAISE... Continue reading

I have the best friends and they give the best gifts!!! The first of August is my birthday. This year we are going to have a "faux birthday" because I had just had to have my wisdom teeth out and wasn't really able to eat anything by the time my bday rolled around. I am only on Day 5 of an 8 weeks separation from my lovey and it's been a struggle already! Adam is away for training for HIS NEW JOB with Atlas Air. He is currently in training to become a 747 Pilot, I could not be MORE PROUD of him! I am STOKED but it seems that like ALL THINGS - sacrifice is first, benefits next. Pray for the kids and I during this time,... Continue reading
