Because this recipe isn't yours, you're not going to write it out here? Josh... that is aDORable. What's the internet for, anyway? ;^)
As it happens, this very recipe has been published all over the web: it was actually part of promo material sent out in advance of the book.
For your many adoring fans and cookie eaters of all ages: here you go!

Ad Hoc Chocolate Cookies
The family (through an official poll and everything) decided the first effort would be chocolate chip cookies. I recently got Thomas Keller's newest cookbook which had an intriguing looking recipe. I have long been a fan of Chef Keller (a signed French Laundry menu from our annivers...
Best. Cooking show. EVER.
Blueberry Pie
So this is the recipe that actually got it all started. Annabelle and I saw the American Test Kitchen bake some blueberry pie and she wanted to bake it. After some chatting she ended up wanting to make cookies but the pie came back up so here it is. This time around Connor joined us. ...
You're back! How I missed you both. Count me and C among the fans of Pushing Daisies. Very sad to see it go. It was a great show; Christopher liked it especially well... and not just because of Lee Pace!
Like you guys, we have given up entirely on Heroes. Suckage on a MASSIVE scale... I only lasted TWO episodes last season. Similarly, we also lasted a couple eps of Fringe, which seemed just plain hokey.
It's all about Battlestar and Lost for us now! Other than that, 30 Rock, the Office, SNL and American Experience. Aside from all the cooking shows, I'm still hooked on Intervention and Jon and Kate Plus 8.
We have REALLY gotten into watching TV on DVD. Is it time now for us to dive into The Wire or Big Love... or can we bide our time until the next season of Weeds comes out?
Ep 034: We're Back!
We're Back! Episode 34 (click to play/pause) After getting derailed by an election, an underwhelming fall TV season, and some technical difficulties, Nicole and Harold are back to discuss the outlook for 2009, including Dollhouse, the new Timothy Hutton caper show Leverage, the second season o...
A healthy appreciation of Charlie Sheen is something I can, er... appreciate, Sharon! I am more a "Charlie Sheen in Ferris Bueller's Day Off" guy, though. In 2 1/2 Men, it just seemed like a race to see who could be the un-funniest.
Speaking of Sheen, that reminds me of the funny funny way they are always referring to his ex-wife's "reality" show on "The Soup." "The show is called 'Denise Richards Colon. It's Complicated," says host Joel McHale, who C'pher and I think is Harold's long-lost brother.
Ep 026: Emmy Goes Mad
Emmy Goes Mad Episode 26 (click to play/pause) Harold and guest host Kyle Minor discuss this year's Emmy nominations, including Mad Men, Damages, various bad miniseries, and A&E's Intervention. Plus a quick shout-out to Doctor Horrible.
Hasn't YouTube been an unending source of nostalia? As we said, it's both good and bad that we can now have instant access to the Banana Splits theme song, or the old Marvel cartoons, or eps of HR Puffinstuff -- but at least we do have it! Thank you, millions of people with nothing better to do than digitize episdoes of Pettycoat Junction! Thank you!
Ep 017: Dredging Up the Past
Dredging Up the Past Episode 17 (click to play/pause) Harold and special guest Kyle Minor discuss their earliest favorites and whether they hold up over time. They also wonder if Hulu and other streaming sites will extinguish millions of hazy, yet fond memories. Shows discussed include Three's...
Agreed about Locke, Denise... though finally finding out how he was paralyzed and seeing how he handled getting revenge on his bastard of a father was a great moment in the sun for him. Here's to a return to greatness for Locke!
Ep 015: Let's Get Lost
Let's Get Lost Episode 15 (click to play/pause) Harold, Nicole, and their special guest, Kyle Minor, talk about ABC's juggernaut. Lost -- how they started watching it, how (and if) they've kept watching it, and what they're looking forward to as the show's conclusion looms on the distant, yet ...

I am finally getting around to hearing this ep... people, you HAVE to see the picture of the pre-felted slipper:

It is GIGANTIC in a way that isn't even described with the word GIGANTIC! I totally want a pair of these. Amazing!
Episode 39: Felt me
Episode 39: Felt Me (33:40) This week, in three acts, Jenny and Nicole use their shrink ray to turn giant wool things into reasonably-sized wool things. Fiber Trends Felted Clogs Fuzzy Feet KP Merino Style (7 skeins!)--felt for 12-15 minutes Soy Wool Stripes--felt for 4-5 minutes Har...
HO-kay... just got through listening to your Pilot episode (get it?) and wow! So so great, dudes. I have like a page full of notes!
Nic... I also used to be hooked on many soap operas, but I was addicted to TV waaay before that, getting up at 6 am on Saturdays just to watch G-Force (aka Battle of the Planets).
I tend to jump on TV trends late, but when I'm in, I'm in with a vengance. Witness my love affair with Star Trek: I didn't start watching TNG until, like, season 4 or so, but after that I was OBSESSED, taping (yes -- TAPING) any and all Trek shows I could get from TV. Why? I can't say... but that is the nature of collecting!
When I moved across town I got rid of nearly 3 paper grocery sacks FULL of episodes of Trek incarnations, some of them with reception so snowy you'd think they were filmed at the North Pole. Good thing that Dad on Craigslist wanted them for free!
This comment is getting embarassingly long. You cats need to get this up on iTunes so I can listen to you properly instead of while I'm trying to work! Great show.
And PS: Jericho rocks. Season 2 premire tomorrow night (2/13)! Nuts!
Ep 001: Here We Are Now. Entertain Us.
Here We Are Now. Entertain Us. Episode 1 (click to play/pause) Welcome to a brand new podcast! Your hosts, Nicole and Harold, tackle the subject of television and how they watch it. Show notes: Stash and Burn - Nicole's podcast with Harold's wife Jenny General Hospital on ABC and on YouTube ...
Despite my unnatural hatred of TV, I will be sure not to miss a blessed episode of this excellent new-ish podcast.
And who am I kidding. I love TV. Except every show on E! but "The Soup," of course. Those I really do hate.

I hate this sweater! Just kidding! It is, of course, lovely. the top-back is particularly cool. And the buttons are great, too!
Giant Baby Sweater
Inspired by Nicole's baby sweater, I decided that what I wanted was a gigantic one for myself. After some recalculating, I came up with this. I cast on 64 stitches and did the increases according to EZ. I put in about 10 rows worth of short rows to raise the back (5 extra ridges) after the fir...
Scarf #2 is my favorite... I can see why you guys always go on about Artfibers. Gorgeous!
vintage velvet II
When I made my first vintage velvet scarf out of Knitpicks Decadence, Harold said that he would like the same scarf in red. So I bought the yarn and started the scarf. Last year? Earlier than last year? I can't remember, and I never did get a shot of the first vintage velvet when I finished it. ...
I agree with Nicole... where is that hottie Keanu? Also, that place must have some freaky mirrors because I totally saw two of that one guy.
The Lake House
Created with Paul's flickrSLiDR. John R invited us up for a couple of days at his Fallen Leaf Lake Cabin. It is gorgeous up there! I went, I ate, I didn't help clean up, I knitted and then I left. It was so fun! In my defense, Frank was at the helm in the kitchen, and I did chop some tomatoes ...
Bulky is beautiful! Rasta-Jenny... live up!
The Knitting at the Lake House
5 skeins of Rowan Big Wool gone 'poof!' Size 13 needles for all. Beret is from Vogue Knitting Holiday 2006, inspired by this.
I cannot believe we don't get a complete run-down of what the heck each of these concotions was. I like the idea of tasting 25 different dishes, but the presentation is a bit too too for me. I prefer a no-nonsense approach.
Alinea (or the many expressions of my father)
While in Chicago, we were very excited to eat at Alinea. We were a bit nervous to take my parents there since the food, while delicious, is definitely edgy and innovative. I decided to take a photo of my dad after each of the 25 courses to judge his reaction. I think he liked it... but I'm not s...
I love seeing the name "Lisa Souza" spelled out after having heard it on your podcast so much. I kept thinking it was one word1
another hat...
I've almost knitted through all of my Lisa Souza from Stitches! Shocking. I still have the alpaca/silk yarn in the peanut colorway which I am making into a cable/lace stole. I hope I finish it someday...
If someone as good at math as you can't figure that out, then it's official: I will NEVER be able to learn to knit. I have to stick to baking!
Lotus Blossom Tank
Sometimes I have no idea what I'm thinking when I'm buying yarn for a specific project. I bought 5 balls of Plymouth Royal Bamboo last August because I wanted to make the LBT from Interweave last summer (I am a big fan of Nicole's). Somehow, I thought that even though Royal Bamboo gets 92 yards/...
