I think that the NSA is monitoring our comments, but Comcast is not.

I hope the BL gods are reading these latest comments as phaithful BLers discuss replacement blogs to go to instead of BL, because BL has stopped producing thread headers. At least they need to reinstall the "Jump to Latest Comments" feature.

I second NEPP as the new BL thread head writer. This crap with no thread headers has got to stop.

GBrettfan wrote: "Ben Davis speculated that Diekman didn't have the confidence and closer's mentality to get those last three outs last night. I wonder if he's right." I remember that Ryan Madson talked about the mental issues that he faced from going from a spot starter role to middle relief and back and forth. He seemed to have mastered it as he matured. Maybe Diekman needs to mature.

What? No game thread header yesterday. No game wrap-up, pre game thread header today. I love BL's format and commenters, but Comcast has really let this site down. I'm sure that some unpaid college student would love to write thread headers for BL. Comcast could set up some phony unpaid internship position and get a local college sports phan to write up a daily blurb or two for us. Shame on Comcast. While I'm am venting, let me add that I have always hated Dan Uggla and that I still do. My dislike of him grows stronger each game he plays. Also, Diekman needs to learn some control.

NEPP, Thanks. I left the Philly area when Chris Wheeler was just a fill-in type guy. He never impressed me. How did he get so much influence power? Goat photos?

DPat - my sincere condolences to you on your great loss. I've always enjoyed your comments.

NEPP, I'm confused. You wrote, "Considering how Wheels got Whitey fired." Didn't Ashburn die on the road, while still working for the broadcast team?

When I wrote the above comment there was no arrow appearing saying "Next >>". Now there is. I guess my computer is haunted.

No comments today? BL is really seeing bad times. We need a new thread header every day. There should be a thread header recapping Sunday's game. It is sad.

Got in late tonight. No new thread header for tonight's game? C'mon Comcast get on the ball here! Nice win. Jimmy Rollins with the big stick.

You can't get rid of the owners, as they own the team; however, we can get Rube, Jr. ousted. He built this crap-hole team.

Reading the thread header, I conclude that all Paps needs to succeed is control. I didn't see that the other night, with pitches sailing way high out of the strike zone. Hard headed Paps will need many sessions with Doc, before it will seep into his thick skull that he needs to become a finesse pitcher.

"No, a good team should be 3-0. Over the course of a year this group is only marginally better than 1-2." -Curt My 63-98 preseason predicted Phillies record fits that 1-2 ratio quite well. The rallying cry used to be, "Get me to the plate, boys!" Now it's going to be "Get used to losing two out of three, boys!"

"Papelbon is bad but it's not possible for me to hate anyone more than I hated Adam Eaton. I'd put Papelbon solidly in the top five or six along with Rod Barajas, Brett Myers, Travis Lee, and Steve Jeltz." - WSJ True. Adam Eaton is so high up my all-time disliked Phillies scrotum pole that it is really hard to think of others. Rod Barajas is definitely there in the top five. I'll have to think further about the others. Papelbon is an ass, but I don't hate him. If our bullpen did their job we'd be 3-0. It was really sucky to watch the Texas Rangers post game shows the last two nights with them yucking it up about how clutch their hitters are in the 9th inning. I hope they suck bad this year, too!

I think that I'll heed Hugh's advice and pour a glass of heart medicine before retiring tonight.

It's going to be a long hard season. At least this game was entertaining, even if some of it was negative entertainment.

Hollands is gone! Maybe they can get a DP with Rosenberg.

Fielder up. The crowd's excited. I'm not.

RFD could've done that. Boy am I excited to see Nix come up to bat. Yeh, surrre!

The Rangers feed on Fox is fine, no stuttering. RFD replaced by Dom.

You could see this result coming a mile away. The old MVP Howard is gone forever.
