Zorn said he is troubled by the concept of government forcing people to buy something from a private business. Well, the government makes choices for us all day long with our tax dollars (e.g., the Pentagon buying from private manufacturers & contractors, or the FAA buying new air traffic control systems from private companies, or the FBI ... ).
If we want Congress to solve the health care problem as well as other major problems like financial regulation, we need to get the money out of Washington, i.e., we need campaign finance reform. If that requires amending the Constitution, that's what we should do. (I know this is not going to happen until things get much worse, unfortunately).
