Hi friends! I thought I would pop in and share a card that I created the other day! We've been knee deep in the plague here in our house and I was in desperate need of something bright and cheerful. I broke out the new Spring stamps from Right at Home and created this cheerful card... I normally love patterned paper and include it on many of my cards. I couldn't quite find the right combination of colors for what I had planned so I decided to create my own! :-) I started by stamping the Gingham Background Stamp in a light beige ink. I stamped many of the flowers from the Bunny Hugs stamp set in lovely, Spring colors. I then die cut the background out using the largest die from the Find the Beauty die set. For the bottom panel, I die cut a pink piece of cardstock... Continue reading

Hi friends! I have some cards up over at the Queen & Co blog today and thought I would share one of them with you here! My card features the Window Foam Front and Window Foam Front Die. I had a lot of fun creating this one! I started by die cutting the Window Foam Front die using white cardstock. I took the four inner rectangles and sponged them with four different colors of ink and then stamping them with some flowers. I added the Window Foam Front to a white card base and then adhered the sponged rectangles. I filled each rectangle with the matching color Donuts and Tiny Bubbles Toppings. I framed the top by die cutting the Window Foam Front die using black cardstock. I then added some stamped and die cut flowers and sentiment. For embellishment, I created colorful flowers using Lollies as the center and... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm playing along with this month's Sketch For You to Try! You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog! There is still time to enter and the prize really is fantastic, not to mention a crazy fun sketch! :-) Here's this month's sketch... And this is what I came up with using the sketch... The sun is shining here in Montana and I've got Spring on my mind! :-) I decided this sketch would be the perfect chance to create an Easter card! I started by embossing the Easter sentiment (from the Easter Blessings stamp set) using gold embossing powder onto patterned paper. I die cut the sentiment out using the Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts die set. The background layer was created by die cutting the Drop Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm up over at the Bella Blvd blog today sharing some cards I created using their Illustrated Faith Basics collection! The cards I created will be perfect for sending to a friend who needs a pick-me-up! For my first card, I chose bright and cheery colors. I started with a strip of patterned paper from the IF Basics Paper Pad. I chose six cute hexagons from the Daily Paper Pieces pack and added them to my card. I added a sentiment sticker (from the Everyday Icons Cardstock Stickers sheet) in the upper left corner. I also added a super cute new Hexie Epoxy Sticker. To finish the card, I adhered the blessed sticker to the bottom and popped up one of the small Paper Pieces flowers using dimensional foam. Supplies IF Basics Paper Pad IF Basics Paper Pieces: Daily IF Basics Cardstock Stickers: Everyday Icons IF Basics Epoxy... Continue reading

Welcome back! It's the fifth and final day of Papertrey Ink's March release inspiration posts! Today I have one card to share with you, but it's one of my favorites! :-) Betsy's new Make It Market Mini Kit: Bloom & Grow is one of my favorite kits from her ever! From the stencils and watercolor look patterned paper to the clever way the flowers are designed to pull out of the pot, this is must have kit! One of my favorite things about the kit is the included papers! The watercolor plaid is just gorgeous!! Also, the fact that there are several sheets with the flowers already printed for you (just need to be die cut) makes it great for visual learners to recreate the bouquets with the stencils and stamps! I actually created my card only using the included die cuts! After die cutting the pot and large bouquet,... Continue reading

Welcome back! It's the fourth day of Papertrey Ink's March release inspiration posts! Today I have card featuring Betsy's new Nesting stamp set to share with you! I'm pretty sure this new Nesting set is going to be a go-to set for me! I adore birds and this set has the cutest ones! And the egg...SO cute! One of my favorite parts of this is how you can customize the nest! The pretty leafy border and coordinating dies make this set so unique! The extra stamps Betsy included to customize the birds make this a set perfect for year round stamping! I mounted the nest onto a die cut created with the new Mix & Mat: Flourishes die set. I am a sucker for frame dies, and this one is especially fabulous because of the different dies included to customize it! I used the main frame die as well as... Continue reading

Welcome back to the third day of Papertrey Ink's March release inspiration posts! Today, I have a post that is brimming with Spring colors and images! I'm so excited to share them with you! The new Cutaway Tags: Spring stamp with coordinating die is absolutely gorgeous! My favorite thing about this set is that you can spend as much or as little time as you want to! For a more detailed card, like I did, you can stamp each of the images onto the die cut tag. For a quicker card, you can die cut the tag, add a sentiment, and maybe a stamped flower or two and you're done! The gorgeous detail in the die cut tag really is a showstopper all on its own, but I appreciate having the option of stamping the images as well. Nichole really thought of everything! I created two very similar cards, just... Continue reading

Hello friends! I'm back today, sharing a couple more cards I created for the March Papertrey Ink release! I am loving the new release format, which spreads the release inspiration out over five days following the 15th! Today I have two cards to share with you, both using sets illustrated by Lizzie Jones! I don't know about you, but I always seem to be needing a masculine birthday card! I thought the new Offbeat Birthday set would be perfect to create some easy to assemble cards to restock my depleted stash. I started by die cutting the numbers (I used the By The Numbers Mats die set) out of three different colors. I wanted bold colors, but still with an earthy feel so I chose Tropical Teal, Kraft, and Dark Indigo. I then adhered them to a Soft Stone mat and card base. For the focal image, I started by... Hi friends! Today marks the first of five full days of Papertrey Ink March release inspiration! Today I will be sharing a card I created using the new Courage & Kindness stamp set. But first, for a very limited time (as in it ends tonight) you can receive 10% off of your entire order!! That is one amazing deal!! :-) This sweet and encouraging set, designed by Heather Nichols, is full of so many different floral elements as well as sentiments! The flowers can be stamped individually or there is an already assembled bouquet . I love having so many different options in one set! And the sentiments in this set are truly unique and uplifting! I started by stenciling the background using Soft Stone ink and the new Woodgrain Metal Stencil. I am in LOVE with this stencil! Because it's made out of sturdy metal you can emboss cardstock... Good morning! It's day four of the March Papertrey Ink countdown and I have three projects to share with you today featuring the new Beautiful Berries: Spring and Botanical Letters stamp sets. All of the new products will be at 10 pm EST on January 15 in the Papertrey Ink store. My first card features the new Beautiful Berries: Spring, illustrated by Betsy Veldman. This set embodies spring so perfectly! The detail image for the berries just makes it even more special! I just love how each of the elements are separate images. It is also one of the easiest multiple step sets to line up while stamping that I have ever created with! I started by stamping the branch image in Fine Linen ink all over a piece of white cardstock. For the next three steps I used my MISTI stamp positioning tool. I like to do that in... Continue reading

Good morning! Welcome to the March Reverse Confetti release hop! All of the new goodies that you have been seeing over the past few days are now available over at the Reverse Confetti store! My first card features the new Circle Wishes stamp set. I kept the design simple and colors neutral so I could use this for anyone. :-) I die cut the stars using the Circle Wishes Confetti Cuts die set. I backed the white panel with a piece of watercolor with an ombre watercolor wash. My next card features the new Easter Blessings stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto a tag that I die cut using the Tall Tag Trio Confetti Cuts die set. For the background, I die cut the new Ragged Confetti Cuts die out of some lavender felt. I layered that onto some patterned paper. For embellishment, I added flowers and a string... Continue reading

Hi friends! I've got another card today to share with you featuring Queen & Company Heart Throb Kit! Love is always in season, and should be expressed all year long, don’t you think? Some of my favorite cards to create is the “just because” kind! This particular card I created for my daughter. I love to have cards on hand to give to my kids when I see they could use some encouragement. :-) This whole card was inspired by the pretty patterned paper strip I used. The pretty grays, pinks, and cyans are so lovely together! As much as I love how crisp white backgrounds look, I also love how soft colors really pop on a dark background. I chose to start with a dark gray background and then softened it up a little by rubbing some white pigment ink on it and then splattering on some white paint.... Continue reading

Hi there! I've got a post up over at the Queen & Company Blog today! I created this card using the Heart Throb Kit. I am seriously in LOVE with this kit! For $29.95, you get SO many supplies! There are 3 word dies, acrylic words, so many embellishments, a whole 6 x 6 paper pad, a large stitched heart frame die, and all the supplies needed to create 6 pop up shaker cards! Speaking of shaker cards...I have a confession to make. I've never really been a fan of them, mostly because I don't usually have the patience for in-depth technique type of cards. I'm all about the instant gratification! Ha! Anyway, these shaker kits are game changers for me! Now, I want to make ALL the shaker cards! :-) For more info and details on how I created this card, please visit me over at the Queen &... Continue reading

Hi again! I'm back today with a quick but fun card to share with you! Every year, the end of the school year sneaks up on me and I usually am scrambling to get thank you cards and gifts put together for my boys' teacher. I decided that I would change that this year! :-) When I sat down to create this card, I was trying to picture what my middle school aged son would like, as he will be giving this to his teacher. My first instinct was to add ALL the ribbons, hearts, and glitter...but then my better judgement took over. Ha! I decided to go with a more modern and graphic look. I started by die cutting the ABC Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die out of black cardstock. With the stark contrast of the white card base, I felt like the only thing it needed was a... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm up over at the Bella Blvd Blog today, sharing some projects made with their new Acrylic Words! You will find all sorts of inspiration there, from home deocr to fun 3-D projects! Today, I have two projects to share with you. Being a cardmaker, I of course used the Acrylic Words on a card! The second project is a sweet little gift bag, decorated with a sparkly Acrylic Word. I love the pretty, scripty font of the new Acrylic Words! Some of them are fairly large, which are perfect for making the focal image on a card! For my card, I started by combining a couple of patterned papers from the IF Seeds of Faith Paper Pad. I wanted to soften the top heart paper a little bit so I rubbed some white pigment ink in the center of it. So that the fearless Acrylic Word (from... Continue reading

There is still time to enter and the prize really is fantastic, not to mention a crazy fun sketch! :-) Here's this month's sketch... And this is what I came up with using the sketch...
