Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink December release countdown! It's the fifth and final day! All of the new products will be available tomorrow, December 15th at 10 pm ET! I'm sharing two projects featuring the Stuck on You (illustrated by Lizzie Jones) and Sunshine & Honey (illustrated by Lexi Daly) stamp sets. My first card features the new Stuck on You stamp set and coordinating die set. I just LOVE the band-aid die...I mean just look at those perforated dots! SO cute! I stamped many of the sentiments on each of the band-aids, which I die cut in a rainbow color scheme. I embellished the card by adding in some blooms from the new Farmer's Market Florals stamp set. The sentiment is from the new Keep It Simple: Brighter Days (illustrated by Nichole Heady). Not linked but available on 12/15/17: Stuck On You, Stuck On You die set, Farmer's... Continue reading

Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink December release countdown! It's day four and today I'm sharing two projects featuring the Huggable: Monkey (illustrated by Betsy Veldman) and Fun Lovin' (illustrated by Lexi Daly) stamp sets. Okay...how CUTE is this monkey!!??! Seriously, I am in love with Betsy's new Huggable sets!! My kids love Runts candy, so I paired them with this sweet little monkey! I added some of the new Bitty Big: Kraft patterned paper on a kraft tag (die cut from the Tag Sale #1). Underneath the bunch of bananas, I added a die cut heart from the You Have My Heart die set. For the sentiment, I stamped one of the hearts from the You Have My Heart stamp set and then stamped the sentient on top of it. Not linked by available December 12/13/17: Huggable: Monekey, You Have My Heart, Bitty Big: Kraft My second card features... Continue reading

Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink December release countdown! It's day three and today I'm sharing two cards featuring the Quoted: Honeycomb (illustrated by Nichole Heady) and Year of Psalms: December (illustrated by Betsy Veldman) stamp sets. Both of these new sets have crazy low prices ($5 and $6) but they pack such a HUGE punch! Beautiful fonts and even little detail images included make these sets must haves! My first card features the Year of Psalms: December stamp set. Betsy has such a way with sentiment stamps...they always look like something you would want hanging on your wall! I started by creating an ombre background using Dawn's new Round Off Edgers die set. I embossed the sentiment onto vellum cardstock using silver embossing powder and then stitched it to my card. I added some die cut stars (from the Small Sketched Stars die set) and some silver star sequins.... Continue reading

Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink December release countdown! It's day two and today I'm sharing a trio of cards created with the new You Have My Heart collection, illustrated by Heather Nichols! Aside from Christmas, Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday to create cards and gifts for! A whole day set aside to let people know how much you care about them...well, sign me up! :-). Heather has created an amazing collection of products, designed to work together or on their own. I know you'll love them as much as I do! I created a trio of mini cards featuring the new You Have my Heart stamp set and coordinating You Have My Heart die set. In my opinion, hearts are like flowers...you can never have enough! I especially love the stitched heart die, included in the You Have My Heart die set. I kept the design the same,... Continue reading

Hi friends! Today is the first day of the December Papertrey Ink countdown posts! This release is full of amazing stamps, dies, patterned papers, and even some new stencils! I'm helping to introduce the brand new Everyday Affection stamp set (illustrated by Lizzie Jones) and Mix & Mat: Hearts die set (by Betsy Veldman). For my first project, I combined several new products. I started by sponging the background using the new Stencil Basics: Hexagons with white pigment ink on Berry Sorbet cardstock. Those gorgeous flowers are from Dawn's new Farmer's Market Florals stamp set I used two of the dies from the Mix & Mat: Hearts die set. I absolutely LOVE Betsy's Mix & Mat series! Those arrows are so unique! I love how they are subtle yet still make a big impact! The sentiment is from Lizzie's new Everyday Affection stamp set. This is a great set, and... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm sharing a couple of Queen & Co cards today. :-) If you missed out on their huge Black Friday sale, don't worry! There are still some AMAZING sales going on! My cards today feature many of those products! Anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely love embellishments! In fact, I often plan my whole card design around them! That is exactly what I did with my first card. I love how so many of Queen & Company's embellishments coordinate! I took many of the pink embellishments (Rhinestone Flowers, Buttons, Rhinestones) included in the Holiday Binder and created a wreath with them. By the way, the Holiday Binder is one of those items on sale right now! You get a LOT of embellishments, a cute binder to store them in, and envelope pouch pages to fit in the binder. It's a pretty amazing deal at over 55%... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm hosting this week's MIUM challenge over at StampTV! I chose a fun inspiration photo for this week. You can see the photo (as well as the details on how you can win a prize for participating) HERE. I was definitely inspired by the beautiful colors form the inspiration photo! I tried to incorporate all of them on my card: turquoise, white, silver, and gold. I used stamps and dies from the Merry & Bright StampTV Kit. It's hard to see in the photos, but the ornament on the right actually has a very light silver wash over the white embossing. It does show up more in person. :-) I was enjoying the colors so much that I decided to make another project, this time a little tag. The tag shape was die cut using the Gina K. Designs Decorative Tag Dies. The stitched oval die is from... Continue reading

This week, the theme of the challenge is all about layering! If you are a Clean & Simple type of person, have no fear! There are all sorts of way to add layers to your projects: cardstock layers (my favorite Ha!), ink layers, and even die cut layers! On my card, I used all three layering techniques, cardstock, ink, and die cut layers. I combined foliage from the Spruce & Sprigs and Holiday Greens stamp sets. For the focal image, I embossed the sentiment from Pen & Ink: Christmas and die cut it using the Tag Sale #12 die set. for embellishment, I added some string to the tag and scattered on a few sequins. It's the fifth and final day of the November Papertrey Ink countdown posts! Today I am sharing two cards, created with the new Direct Messages and This Just In stamp sets. The new release will be available for purchase tomorrow, November 15th at 10 pm ET! This card is probably my favorite one that I made for this release. It features so many of the products that I love: Direct Messages stamp set, Window Works die set, and Flower Power stamps and dies. Isn't that new patterned paper absolutely gorgeous! I used both of the Bitty Big: Pink Posey polka dot patterns (which is totally my favorite pattern)! Seriously, I need to stock up on this one because I love it sooooo much! I used soft colors for the flowers, keeping everything soft and pastel. To contrast with the pastel colors, I used a bold black color on the Direct... Continue reading

The new release will be available for purchase on November 15th at 10 pm ET! Flower Power is one of those timeless sets that is perfect for anytime of year! For my first card, I created a fall inspired bouquet. I used many of the flowers and leaf images in the set, combined with the coordinating Flower Power die set. I popped many of the images up to create a more dimensional look. For the background, I layered a piece of the new Bitty Big: Prairie Grass patterned paper onto a white card base. I framed the flower bouquet with one of the frames from the Leaf & Sprig Frames die set, die cut out of Olive Twist cardstock. For the sentiment, I... Continue reading

The new release will be available for purchase on November 15th at 10 pm ET! For my first card, I started by stenciling the background with one of the new Stencil Basics: Quatrefoil stencils. I embossed the sentiment from the previously released Friendly Flowers stamp set. I added stamped and die cut flowers (from the Friendly Flowers set) around the tag. Welcome back to day two of the November Papertrey Ink countdown posts! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards created with the brand new Snowfall Style stamp and die sets! The new release will be available for purchase on November 15th at 10 pm ET! I absolutely love using snowflakes on my Christmas cards and the new Snowfall Style snowflakes are gorgeous! I created a couple of cards that would be very easy to mass produce, which is always helpful during this busy season! :-) I started with a piece of the newest Bitty Big patterned paper - Aqua Mist! I have been SO hoping that this color would be released soon! I stamped the snowflakes directly onto the patterned paper. I die cut both snowflakes from the Snowfall Style 1 die set out of Pure Poppy cardstock. I wrapped some Baker's Twine around the top and attached a tag... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm sharing a couple of cards made with the brand new Merry & Bright Ornament Shaker Kit from Queen & Co! I absolutely love how many different ornament dies that are included in this kit! This would be perfect for creating unique tags for family members (and friends)! We have a large family and I plan on using a different ornament style for each person. My first card today features two of the smaller ornaments included in the kit. I created a trio of shakers, filling them with some of the pearl toppings (also included in the kit). I added a bit of patterned paper at the bottom of the card and finished it off with a sentiment from the included stamp set. Another thing that I love about this kit, is the included ornament topper dies! They give the finished ornament a polished look. For my next... Continue reading

I love this set and couldn't wait to break it out for Christmas cards! Music adds such a touch of elegance, taking the card to the next level! This set will never go out of style! I'm pretty sure the Background Basics: Sheet Music and Sing a Song of Christmas sets were meant to be used together! I combined three sets together to create this festive card. For the background, I stamped the Background Basics: Sheet Music onto the Kraft card base using Kraft ink. The card base was die cut using the Noted: Scalloped A2 die set. Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards that I created with the Halloween Hooplah Shaped Shaker Kit! I just can't get over the absolute cuteness of this kit! Oh, and have you seen the brand new Shaped Shaker Kits? Oh. My. Cuteness. The new Holiday Tree and Snow Globe kits are SOOO fun! I can't wait to get my hands on these! :-) For my first card I chose the super cute candy corn image and paired it with one of the candy themed sentiments from the included stamp set. I die cut the candy corn three times but only created one shaker. The included patterned paper works perfectly for paper piecing, like I did with the candy corns. Supplies: Halloween Hooplah Shaped Shaker Kit Twine Assortment When I saw this sentiment, it gave me the idea of filling the cauldron with some of the super cute candy... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm honored to be guesting on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog for their Card Cafe feature! I thought that I would share what I created with you here as well. :-) Autumn is definitely my favorite season! Today I will be sharing a couple of cards that were inspired by my favorite things about this season; the rich colors and rustic textures! When using bold colored focal images, especially if they have added texture, I like to add them to a white or another neutral colored background. I just like the way they seem to "pop" and how the eye is drawn to them. For this card, I chose a white background. Because I wanted lots of texture, I splattered the background with some gold paint. To create the leaves, I painted a quick watercolor wash onto watercolor paper. After the paint was dry, I splattered on... Continue reading
