Welcome to the fifth and final day of inspiration posts featuring the brand new October Papertrey Ink release. Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the new Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers. One of the first things that I thought of when I saw this cute little church in the Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers set was the story behind the Silent Night song. My husband, who is from Switzerland, tells us every year about the story of how the famous song was written. This little church made me think of that little country chapel in Austria and how it must have looked that snowy night. :-) For the background layers, I started with a piece of Bitty Big: Dark Indigo patterned paper. I layered on a piece of Dark Indigo cardstock that I stamped with the Background Basics: Sheet Music stamp set. For the focal image, I die cut... Continue reading

Welcome back to day four of the inspiration posts featuring the brand new October Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing two cards that I created using the new Year of Psalms: October stamp set and To the Point Edgers II die set. I'm such a fan of the Year of Psalms collection! Betsy creates beautiful word art using uplifting scriptures. And at only $5 a set, they are so affordable! I started by die cutting the large frame from the Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die set. I embossed the larger sentiment (Psalm 96:11) using white detail embossing powder. I stamped one of the snowflake images in Pure Poppy ink all over the remaining part of the die cut layer. I embellished the card using... Continue reading

Hi friends! I've got a couple of Queen & Co cards to share with you featuring the brand new Halloween Hooplah Kit! This year, I have gone from having never made a shaker card in my life to being completely addicted to creating them! The Queen & Co Shaped Shaker Kits are entirely responsible for my newest obsession! :-) Every time I think the kits cannot get any cuter, the next one comes out and I'm blown away! Can I just say how completely adorable these little fimo pumpkins are? I just can't get over them! I created a little night scene out of the patterned paper from the kit. One tip, when stamping on the clear acetate pieces like I did here, make sure to use a permanent ink (I used StazOn). I couldn't help myself, I just had to add one of the fimo pumpkins to my sentiment... Continue reading

Welcome back to day three of the inspiration posts featuring the brand new October Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the new Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die set. The whole Mix & Mat collection is probably one of my all time favorite die series! You get so many options in just one die set and at only $12, it so affordable! There are three separate dies that you can use alone or mix and match with each other. It's also fun to mix and match them with previously released Mix & Mat dies as well! :-) Note: I just noticed that the Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die set is sold out, but make sure to click the "Notify... Welcome back to day two of the inspiration posts featuring the brand new October Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the new Quoted: Little Bit More stamp set. For such small sets, the whole Quoted collection of stamps really pack a big punch! The new Quoted: Little Bit More stamp set, which only costs $5 (if you can believe that!), comes with the quote you see above as well as several smaller images that can be used separately or along with the sentiment. I created a quick watercolor wash background on watercolor paper. After it was dry, I die cut it out using the Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die (the large outer frame). I embossed the sentiment using... Welcome to the first day of inspiration posts featuring the brand new October Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing cards that I created using the new Sing a Song of Christmas and Ways to Say: Merry Christmas stamp sets. Betsy has done it again! The new Sing a Song of Christmas is both fun and elegant at the same time! I started by die cutting the Green Parakeet layer using the new Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die set. I stamped, die cut, and layered two of the musical instrument images from the new Sing a Song of Christmas stamp set. I added in some greenery from the previously released Holiday Greens stamp set. I think these two sets go together perfectly! :-) For my... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm sharing a card today, created with the brand new Cloche Quarters: Winter stamp set. This set, along with the rest of the October release will be available for purchase on October 15th at 10 pm Eastern. One of my favorite things about Betsy's Cloche Quarters stamp sets is all of the ways to customize it! The new Cloche Quarters: Winter is the latest addition and it is full of so many wonderful winter and holiday themed images! I tucked in a couple of die cut snowflakes from the previously released Silver White Winters die set. The background paper is from the new Bitty Big: Spring Rain patterned paper pack. I embellished the cloche with a couple of springs from the Beautiful Berries: Winter stamp and die set. I'm so glad you stopped by today! Make sure to head on over to Nichole's Blog as she has so... Hi friends! I'm sharing a couple of Christmas cards today featuring the Joyful Noel stamp and die set from Concord & 9th! For my first card, I wanted a modern, graphic look. I started by stamping the scripty noel sentiment in black on white cardstock. For a bit more color, I stamped the berries in red between each noel. I die cut the N, E, and L out of vellum and the wreath out of New Leaf Cardstock. I popped up the star (die cut from gold glitter cardstock). For my second card, I went with a more neutral color palette. After die cutting the J and Y, I added gold glitter to the bottom portion of each letter. I added some Rustic Jute Button Twine and Burlap for a rustic feel. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Laurie Continue reading

Hi there! Welcome to the October Reverse Confetti Creative Hop! All of the fun starts over on the Reverse Confetti Blog, so make sure to check it out! :-) I am completely smitten with the new Fall For You stamp set! It is just the prettiest wreath! After stamping it, I colored it in with my Copics and then die cut it out using the coordinating Fall For You Confetti Cuts die set. I adhered the wreath onto one of the die cut frames (created using the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts die). I added dimensional foam to the bottom of the frame and adhered it to an ink sponged background panel. You all know how much I love making (and giving) treat boxes! It's so fun to give a little sumpin' sumpin' to a friend or neighbor, especially when it's a "just because" kind of gift! :-) These Mini... Continue reading

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a card I created a while ago. Autumn is my absolutely favorite time of year! There is something so magical about Fall...the cooler weather, the crunch of the leaves, and the promise of all the upcoming holidays! So you can imagine that creating Fall themed cards is also something that I love! :-) I purchased some Ken Oliver Liquid Metals a while ago and really wanted to try them out. I chose three colors in Autumn hues. I started by embossing the floral spray image from the Banner In Bloom stamp set all over a piece of watercolor paper. I then painted on the Liquid Metals. I wish you could see it in person...it's got this subtle shine to it which I just love! For the focal image, I embossed the floral banner image using black detail embossing powder and then painted some color on... Continue reading

Hi friends! I have a couple of seasonal cards featuring Queen & Co shaker kits and embellishments! Tags are one of my favorite things to create as they are so versatile! They dress up any gift so wonderfully or they create the perfect focal image for a card. Turn that tag into a shaker and it goes to a completely new level! I love wreaths and the circle tag included in the Shaped Shaker Tag Kit is the perfect size for one! I created the shaker tag, filling it with several different toppings, and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Dots Paper Pad. I embellished with a couple of Yellow Rivets next to the die cut sentiment. Reverse Confetti: Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts, Fall For You, Fall For You Confetti Cuts, Wheat Confetti Cuts For my second card, I created a festive Holiday card. The... Continue reading

Hi friends! I'm back with my second Guest Designer post for Concord & 9th this month! Have you seen their latest release? It's truly one of their best yet! And if that wasn't enough, there is a beautiful 3 x 4 stamp that is free with a $60 purchase (trust me, it's gorgeous)! I truly love the whole release this month, but the Magnolia Wreath just might be my favorite! I absolutely adore wreath images and this one is both versatile (can be used for different seasons) and elegant! I really love how there is a separate image that can add detail to the wreath leaf base. I chose to emboss them in gold, but they would also look beautiful in a darker green! I topped the wreath with a darker green die cut (included in the bundle) and then added the flowers. I stamped the sentiment in a deep... Continue reading

Good morning! I'm sharing a couple of cards created with the brand new Bella Blvd/Illustrated Faith collection Faith > Fear. And the best news is that they are now available for purchase! The new Faith > Fear collection is a lovely black and white collection, full of gorgeous patterns and embellishments! After choosing a patterned paper from the Paper Pad, I added some pops of color using dies, colored cardstock, and ink. I embellished with a border (from the Borders sheet), stickers, and bit of lace and string. My second card also features more of the Faith > Fear collection. This time, I added color with a watercolored background and did some ink blending on one of the Ephemera pieces. I also stamped a few arrows at the top (from the Clear Stamp set). Welcome to the fifth and final day of inspiration posts featuring the brand new September Papertrey Ink release! Today I'm sharing two cards featuring the Silver White Winters set and Wine Bottle Tag #2 die set. I LOVE snowflake images and couldn't be happier about the new Silver White Winters set. I just adore the large, intricate flakes so much! I also love the coordinating die set! I stamped the flakes in Kraft, Tropical Teal, and Enchanted Evening. After they were stamped, I used a water brush to smudge the images and then splattered on some coordinating ink. I embossed the sentiment onto Kraft cardstock using gold detail embossing powder. For embellishment, I tied on some string and adhered a few sequins. My second card again features the Silver White Winters stamp and die set along with the brand new Wine Bottle Tag #2 die set. I stamped the smallest... Continue reading

Welcome to the fourth day of inspiration posts featuring the brand new September Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the new Quoted: Favorite Things stamp set. The Quoted collection of stamps are wonderful! They are great sentiments, usually large enough to fill up a card front, come with separate sentiments (which is great for stamping in different colors), and are crazy inexpensive!! You can't get better than that! :-) I embossed the sentiment onto watercolor paper and then added a watercolor wash over the sentiment. Again, I chose colors that were a bit non traditional Christmas ones. Normally, I'm all about the red and green but this year I've been loving the different combos! I die cut the... Continue reading

There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the new Beautiful Berries: Winter stamp set. I am such a fan of the whole Beautiful Berries collection and the new Winter edition does not disappoint! I am also a fan of wreaths...just love them, especially around the holidays! So, I couldn't help but create a wreath using a couple of the smaller branches. :-) I thought the berries would be lovely stamped in pinks. Non traditional Christmas colors, but still lovely. I mounted the wreath on a white cardstock layer die cut using the Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs die set. Thanks so much for stopping by today!... Continue reading

There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items! Today I'm sharing cards created with the new Gift Card Cozy Collection. I'm so excited about the new Gift Card Cozy Collection! Lizzie has designed a whole set of products that are perfect on their own but also are amazing together! The Gift Card Cozy Die is one of my favorites as I give a lot of gift cards for gifts. I also think this is the perfect size to package up little lunchbox notes to tuck into my kids' bags! I stamped the "ribbon" images from the Gift Card Cozy Sentiments stamp set.
