we still need one more in addition to that in my opinion, you think?
Recap: Jermaine O'Neal leads Cs over Pistons (I'm not kidding)
Jermaine O'Neal awoke from his three game slumber and led the Celtics to a 96-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons. O'Neal scored 19 points on 7-9 shooting. He added 7 rebounds. He was a +25. All team highs on the night. Paul Pierce debuted with 12 points, 5 assists in 23 minutes. He appeared v...
Well welcome back Captain Pierce! i mean i always knew Pierce was important to this team... ALWAYS knew, but wow did he really make a difference tonight...
i know it was just the Pistons, but our offense was so much more smoother, our defense was much more active, we looked a step faster than the previous three games... spectacular way to return Captain Pierce...
I am still a strong believer in acquiring a BIG man... preferably athletic & at lease 7ft... i would offer Avery Bradley to the highest bidder... Avery Bradley & maybe, just maybe a pick, depending on the BIG, but we are so vulnerable in the middle, & alot of that has to do with JO, & KG being so old...
still looking to me like KG is a little pass his time, but i'll hold on that thought, he had a pretty good defensive game tonight.
& JO, words can't describe how i felt the whole game tonight, couldn't believe him of all people was dominating that way.
I have a bone to pick with Rondo, can someone please tell him to stop all that gambling on defense?
also i see no reason, as long as we stay healthy that we shouldn't have the 2nd or 3rd seed come playoffs.
Nevertheless, it always feels good to win, 62 more to go... Lets go Celtics!

Listen C's fans, i love KG... Lord knows i do... But i have to be honest, that dude need to hang it up... FATHER time has long called his name, he's slow, he's ineffective, & that defense we always depended on? we've lost that too... teams are going right through the teeth of our defense night in & night out.. teams are not scared to take it to KG, he has no lift to dunk, or block a shot, he has had an atrocious start to the season, & i really hope it changes, but right now... sell him with no hesitation... really hope i'm wrong... we'll see!
Taking Stock: C's-Hornets
After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players... and maybe coach's... performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game No One: You think I'm buying anyone after that pile of crap? O...
no DA need to make a move, & quick... trade Bradley & a pick for a solid BIG man...
Your Morning Dump... Doc finds a zone defense in his bag of tricks
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Mind you, the Celtics have thrived off their help defense system build off a man-to-man backbone during the Big Three era. In f...
Agree with everything... but when will Moore get his shot? i'm so anxious to see him...

After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players... and maybe coach's... performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game Paul Pierce: The man who hasn't played a minute yet has shown ...
i seen the same thing with KG, i actually started seeing it last year in the playoffs vs. the Heat... KG just don't look good to me at all no more. i think father time is trying to get his attention... really thought he'd contemplate retirement this summer, but as we all know, that's not happening, but i would love to try & bring him off the bench... just try & see how it goes... it would make that 5-5-5 plan so much better... Also i've been missing Moore too, hopefully he gets time tomorrow in the 2nd night of a back-to-back... still don't understand why Bradley is ahead of him on the depth chart... last but not least... the Bass & Dooling deals has turned out excellent for the Celtics so far... i can't wait for Pierce to get back, we'll be fine once he return... #TeamCeltics #AllAbout18
Recap: C's comeback falls short, Heat win 115-107
The Celtics really have to stop trying to make huge comebacks. For the second straight game, the Celtics fell behind big early, staged a furious comeback, and then fell short. This time the Celtics didn't quite make it all the way back. They got as close as 3 points, but the Heat took advant...
All in All that was an encouraging game to see... i mean we hung in there without Pierce, & Green, & with SP11 starting, so good sign for when Pierce gets back... rooting for a Mavs, Lakers, & Thunder win to start the Heat, Bulls, & Magic off at 0-1 too... Go Celtics
Recap: Joe Crawford gives Knicks one helluva Christmas present
The Knicks beat the Celtics in the season opener, 106-104, thanks to... the legendary Joey Crawford. The referee who never met a spotlight he didn't love interjected himself into this game with two questionable technical foul calls and an absurd call on Marquis Daniels that led to two Carmelo ...
so excited about this signing, i don't know how Danny does it, but he has shaped a legit bench with no money at all... Welcome to Boston Pietrus!!!!
Pietrus Tweets: "I'm joining Celtics family"
Twitter / @MickaelPietrus: Thanks Everyone's Merry Xm ... via kwout A. Sherrod Blakely just tweeted that the C's and Pietrus are working on a contract... and then Pietrus sent out the tweets above. There's nothing more official than a tweet. Welcome aboard, Mickael. KG's saving a spot ...
I agree, Avery Bradley will have the worst season, I agree the Rondo is ready to lead this team now, & he will, I feel the best seasons will come from either Pierce, Rondo, or Ray Ray, now it's hard to pick where the Celtics may fall, but i do feel like with Pietrus we can make a strong push towards the Finals, & beat the Bulls in the ECF to play the Thunder in the Finals, that's the way I see it...
Siri previews the 2011-12 Celtics season
Chuck and I are notoriously lazy. If there's a way for us to get around doing something, we'll find it. Which brings us to our season preview. This year, instead of thinking about stuff and... ughh... writing them down, we decided to whip our our iPhones and just ask Siri what she thought ab...
this guy was plain ignorant, he gave the Celtics hell the whole way through, but he really went over the edge on the Bold prediction, he should have his licence taken up for this, he clearly cannot analyze... & extremely biased, plus, who is this guy? David Thorpe? & what NBA game has he ever played in or coached? hell basketball period. ugh, that guy made me mad... & i can't wait till Paul Pierce shut him up!!!
Wow... someone hates Paul Pierce
ESPN put together a little Celtics-Knicks preview.... and I'm guess David Thorpe of Scouts, Inc doesn't like Paul Pierce very much. Follow the link for the whole preview. I'm just going to highlight David Thorpe's answers. 2. Who do you want leading your team: Carmelo Anthony or Paul Pierce? ...
I've wanted Mickael Pietrus since last year's trade deadline... Daanny get on him now!!! would be a fantastic move, with this pick-up then i can really believe our BENCH is better than last year's & may win us some games... In Danny I trust

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Mickael Pietrus, recently released by the Phoenix Suns, is leaning "heavily" towards signing with the Boston Celtics, accord...
this pick up is amazing!!!!!
Report: Celts close to deal with David West
David Aldridge had the story: A source briefed on discussions Friday evening said that the Boston Celtics are close to a deal with free agent power forward David West, who has been with the New Orleans Hornets since being drafted in 2003. West, 31, was expected to be one of the top free agents ...
I think the Brown pick up would be excellent, along with Delonte West... Delonte West, Shannon Brown, & Jeff Green? not too shabby huh?
Celtics interested in Shannon Brown
Sherrod Blakely says we can add Shannon Brown to the list of players the Celtics are interested in. I've never been a big fan of Brown's game and that has nothing to do with his ties to the purple and gold. The 26-year old Brown averaged 8.7 points and 19 minutes per game last season. He's j...

Report: Ainge, Hornets have discussed Rondo for CP3
Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick has taken the Rajon Rondo trade rumors to the next level: Ainge, the sources say, has recently discussed trading Rondo in a deal that nets Paul, but the Hornets don't appear interested in a two-team deal in which Rondo -- who has four years worth approximately $46 ...
This is so tough, i love Rondo to death, & wouldn't want him gone... BUT i would love to have Paul here, so something's got to give... i'm so pumped to find out
Fanning the Rajon Rondo for Chris Paul flames
Welcome to rumor season. The Morning Dump set the stage by letting everyone know Danny Ainge was open to trading Rajon Rondo. Now, people have jumped on that to ask about a Rondo for Chris Paul swap. And some writers are taking the bait. Twitter / @johnhollinger: Not sure how he feels...
I absolutely LOVE Rondo, & I believe he's the definition of a Celtic... I wouldn't trade him, but that's me, I can totally understand Danny doing so, & New Orleans agreeing, along with Big Baby, but for me, that would be a tough pill to swallow. I can't even picture Rondo nowhere but Boston, but I can say i would gladly take Chris Paul under the Celtics wing, but i would mourn the departure of Rondo forever...
Your Morning Dump... Where Danny will listen to Rondo offers
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. While Boston is not shopping Rajon Rondo, it would be open to trading him in the right deal, sources say. The Celtics feel t...
I think the pick up of a name such as Landry would be BIG... he's physical, athletic, he finishes around the rim, he rebounds, he's an good defender, he shows emotion, he already has the identity of a Celtic, & i think Landry would fit into our system well... plus the Rondo to Landry alley-oops would be amazing to see every now & then... again, i don't see one thing wrong with signing a Landry, if the price is right...
Your Morning Dump... The short schedule could benefit Boston

Lol, funniest blog I ever read, but this is about to be very LONG & UGLY for all of us, hopefully this dont drag into the season! Ugh this sucks
Least shocking news ever: Lockout will begin at 12:01
Batten down the hatches, folks. We're in for one wild ride. Now, stop reading this and go back to work so you can provide for your family, pay your bills, and maybe have some cash left over to buy a six-pack of cheap beer and a burger this holiday weekend. Let the multi-millionaires and bil...
Cept for Shaq, he gave us nothing in the play-offs, nothing!!! Dont think it was his fault we lost, cause we damn sure could have won without him, but still, he gave nothing in the playoffs, I love Shaq, it's been a fun year, but his time is through in Boston! We brought him here to get us over the hump in the playoffs, but he gave nothing, he couldnt, & he didnt
J.O. needs wrist surgery
The Boston Herald's Mark Murphy reports in today's edition that Jermaine O'Neal will need surgery on his left wrist. Danny Ainge went on to call it "some serious surgery..". Jermaine injured the wrist during Game 1 of Boston's 1st-round sweep of the New York Knicks. The part of this story that...
I've always had major respect for Gregg Pop, one of my favorites besides Doc, & George Karl, but he is very ignorant for saying the above... He's one of the coaches that always says the right thing, clearly he didnt this time, & Im not saying this because Rondo is a Celtic, but you cant downplay someone who dislocates their elbow, & literally coming back to play 15-20 minutes later, clearly its very different from Manu's cause not only did Manu only hyperextend his elbow, he sat for almost a week, so its very different Pop, come on now, you're better than that...
Grumpy Gregg Popovich not impressed with Rondo's toughness
Via the Boston Globe/San Antonio Express: “It’s really been hard to watch the playoffs and have them make Rondo out like Willis Reed,” Popovich said Thursday, in wide-ranging interview with the Express-News. “It’s like, Manu couldn’t even play the first game (against Memphis), and we probably sh...
First off we all know Doc wouldnt let this happen,UNLESS Pierce is approving of this too... 2nd People forget the fact Danny was speaking hypothetically when he made this comment, you can tell Danny has never really thought about this, but it is a option... the people on weei were saying how would you enlarge Jeff's role with Boston, Danny was saying he will like him with the starting line up more, whether that means coming off the bench early, or placing Paul on the bench, but we're looking too far into that comment, dont thnk he really wants to do that... But the fact that he said he would look to shop the BIG 3 except for Pierce of course, kind of shocked me, like what if he decides to build a team arund Rondo, Green, & Pierce? Im not condoneing getting rid of any of te BIG 3, cause quite frankly I want them all to retire a Celtic, but it aint hard to see that KG was old & rugged in this 2nd round, you saw his legs giving out on him, game by game... So I will go out on the limb & say if anyone is to be gone, it'll be him, whether that be through TRADE, or RETIREMENT, he is the most likely out, while I believe its highly unlikely either one be gone, he'll be first, & I cant say I'd be too surprised if it is to happen... I think the goal is to begin to move towards the future, but the comment about Pierce was just hypothetical, I just dont believe he would be that stupid!!!!
Will Paul Pierce come off the bench next year?
Danny Ainge had some interesting stunning comments on WEEI: On the starting lineup changing: "Maybe there’s a change of roles. Maybe Paul comes off the bench, cuts down on his minutes. Maybe we find a way to get Jeff more minutes. His role will expand if he’s back here next year. There’s no ques...
I think we need a intensified athletic starting cenrter... someone that plays above the rim, one that runs, & is young, & can get out there with Rondo... Some players that jump to mind is Tyson Chandler, Samuel Dalembert, Javale McGee, Deiondre Jordan, and JJ Hickson, Nene, and Carl Landry, theres more, those are a few... Also we must keep Jeff Green, & Delonte West.. Need a 3rd scorer to go with them, possibly JR Smith, Anthony Parker, Dorrel Wright, Matt Barnes, & theres more... need a lockdown defender off the bench, someone like Shane Battier, or Courtney Lee, preferrably Courtney Lee since he's still young... Bascically we need to get a tad bit younger, & athletic, & identify a bench... That way we lower the BIG 3's minutes while still winning games, if they have to play 35 mins a game next year, we wont win... We've gotten Doc back, hopefully Ray stays, & from there things get interesting, & we'll have to wait & see.... Glen has to go!!! Cant believe what he said in last nights post game, think he already had a foot out the door, now I think its time to push him out, its always something with him every year!
Doc: I haven't signed anything yet, but it's been decided
Doc Rivers spoke with ESPN Radio of New York today: “Danny [Ainge] and I have been talking about it for a while and I’ve been talking about it with my family,” Rivers told Lupica. “Last year, I just wouldn’t even talk about it. This year, I didn’t want to leave the organization out there too lon...
& not only did we win 3 in a row in the Cleveland series to beat them, but we also won 3 in a row to take a 3-0 lead on Orlando.... & we're waaayyy deeper & motivated this year!!!! I believe!!!! Never stopped, maybe I got worried, but never once panicked, & my advice to ya'll is to not panic, we are capable, question is will we? & I think we will, we're too talented to loose now!!! Rondo expected to play, West expected to ply, Shaq's back, things are starting to come together, & now we have that ounce of momentum that we need... Last year we were 5-3 going into Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semis, this year we're 5-2 going into game 4!! Pretty identical huh, just this year we're more talented & deeper, & motivated, Watch out, here come them Celtics!
Enemy Chatter: The series feels different
I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Miami. The Heat didn't just get beaten Saturday night, it got flustered. And that's a bigger potential problem for Miami than the...
this is exactly why I think if the Celtics win tomorrow, they win the series.... We're a team thats been through adversity, & seem to dwell when our backs are against the wall, The heat however havent proven they can fight through adversity, & last night we seen Lebron choke as he seem to always do against us, he always have 1 or 2 games where he plays phenomenal in a series vs. us, & that came in game 2, but in others he chokes... & I fully expect to see Pierce lock him down again, Bosh never has been a threat to me, so now its like beating the same Heat of last year, Dewayne Wade carrying the team, & it wont be enough, Lebron just cant do the things he want against Pierce, Im sorry!!!! My heart still tell me we beat Miami in 6, but Imma just say we beat them in 7 if we are to win tomorrow... Great win last night... & lets remember last year after game 3 in the Eastern Conference Semis, we were down 2-1 to Cleveland, after a 32 point blowout by Clevelad on our court, & we were unsure of the future of the team, & just how are they gone come back to win the series, but them Celtics went on to win 3 in a row, shocked many of us, & the rest of te world, & take the series, & for some reason I feel it'll be close to the same results this year, I just see it, & we might have a bigger will to do it this year, after seeing Rondo come back like that, &the emotions from the BIG 3 through & out the game, I just think last night, was the night we took over the series, & I hope & pray Im right... lets go Celtics!!!! #Banner18

Game ball go to Doc Rivers and JO.... Doc Rivers was a hell of a coach in those closing moments.... & JO provided energy all night long.... Great game JO!!!!
Recap: Ray Allen is one cool mo-fo
Ray Allen's three pointer with 12 seconds remaining in the game propelled the Celtics to a heart-stopping 87-85 victory over the NY Knicks. It wasn't the Celtics prettiest effort (see the 15 point 2nd quarter), but I really don't care. Amare Stoudemire was a beast. Twelve of his 28 points came ...
