I received a copy (direct from the publisher, thank you!) of the Vera book I was all wanty about back in December. It's just outstanding. Inspirational, compelling, educational, and really lovely to hold and handle. I love it dearly and am so amazed by Vera's artistic journey and lust for life...

I love this picture. Penn wandered up to this sculpture and gazed at it for the appropriate amount of time before saying "nice. girl." in her wee little voice then went merrily on her way. She was tiniest art appreciator at the Leo Mol sculpture garden on Saturday night and my heart grew three...

Paul's family came to San Diego a weekend ago and we welcomed them to Little Italy with an Italian meal. I made focaccia bread (totally worth the excessive olive oil) and caprese salads and Paul fixed up chicken and pesto with fresh pasta. We almost rivaled some of the fancy restaurant...

We used to take zillion of pictures of the two of us together. Dan + Kal. And then Pilot came along and she was so much cuter than her parents that we started taking pictures of her. And then sweet Penn decided to join us and the two of their amazing smiles were ultimately more awesom...

i have blown up polaroids before. like you said, they do get grainy, but if you have a good quality scanner, you can make it so that it's not too grainy. a good printer can print a small portion so you'll have an idea of how grainy it is. you can also scan an print it yourself to see what it might look like. it's very artsy. it's totally possible and it has the potential to be very beautiful if done properly! hope that helps.

I have noticed people taking last day of school photos and decided I needed to do it too. Except I wasn't home when Mac got back from school today so I asked Sean to make sure it was well documented. Here is Mr. McIntosh O'Kane Jordan before and after his 6th grade year... He looks smarter, do...
coloring. dancing. cooking something. (i once had to help watch 20 kids with another girl. it was all last minute, so went down to the nearest pizza place and bought some of their pizza dough. had each kid designed his/her own pizza. i cooked them, they ate them. you could do the same thing with cupcakes, etc.) dress up. pin the tail on the donkey (or something similar). pinata! different age appropriate board games.

i'm trying to train for a marathon, but my asthma keeps getting in the way. i cant seem to be able to run past 2 miles without an attack. it's really putting a hinder on my training. after all, how can you train for a marathon if you can't run more than 2 miles!!!
