Well...I just watched the first episode of Walking Dead season 2...and the little online thingy with the lady with no legs and how she came to be that way...so I was a bit freaked out...Decided to go to your blog for some light fun reading...and what do I find?
AMAZING! I LOVED the bit at the end. I'm pretty good at seeing "what will happen" with stories, but you caught me off guard. Good JOB Will Wheaton! It was very good. Thanks for the extra scare...I guess I'll see if The Bloggess has something light and funny for me now...
Flash Fiction: The Monster In My Closet
About two hours ago, I thought to myself, "'There's a monster in my closet' would be a neat way to start out one of those scary short stories I loved to read when I was in middle school." I wrote it down, then wrote a little more and a little more. Right around the time I realized I had no idea ...
Well I was gonna watch you ANYWAY! But this card makes it all the MORE exciting!!! Lets just hope the Tornado Card here in MD that may kill our power. Hopefully MeeMaw will be looking down on us and make sure our cable continues to work! Can't wait!
I am literally playing The Dead Meemaw Card so that you'll watch me on The Big Bang Theory tonight.
Yes, I am literally playing The Dead Meemaw Card so that you'll watch me on The Big Bang Theory tonight.
WHOOT! You are one of my FAVORITE parts of Big Bang! You're so funny in that show! I can't wait for Thursday and I cannot wait for your episode! PLUS Eureka on tonight! Hazaa!
So... this is happening.
I spent a lot of time at Warner Brothers last week. While I was there, I saw my friend Kaley, and we took a silly picture: Then I remembered that I'm Evil, so we took another picture: And if you haven't solved the puzzle by now, this is why I was there: Check out how I totally play thi...
I am a Culinary Student *Only one more Semester to go!* And I would GLADLY run the food side of your 80's arcade and brew pub idea! *I grew up in Alaska and my favorite place to eat was Bears Tooth which IS a brew pub* So yeah...if you need a Chef I'm your gal!!! I can cook a MEAN meal with beer *one of my favorite things to use in foods*
The Poet and the Painter casting shadows on the water
Beer stuff! I wanted to make Jaime Paglia an oatmeal stout, because that's his favorite. When I went to the shop to get supplies, though, Greg (who owns it) told me that you really have to do a partial mash or all-grain to get it just right. I'm not quite ready for that, yet, so I went with my b...
AWESOME! Did you make the dice too!? :-D
Ryan and I totally made this.
It's our beer! Click to embiggen at imgur Today, at long last, the beer Ryan and I made together was ready to drink. We got on the phone and opened our first bottles together .... and it totally tastes like beer! It's sort of a slightly-hoppier version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which is pre...
Wow. I am SO disappointed in the network formally known as Sci-Fi. I don’t know how they could do this? They seem to like giving us fantastic shows and then just pulling them away for no good reason. I’m sorry…I don’t care what the reason is. It wont be good. Eureka has been one of my favorite shows for SO long. Now I’m really worried about Warehouse 13. I’m going to go tweet y’all who I follow now. I don’t follow everyone because I don’t know their tweet names. But this is a sad sad day.
Saying goodbye to Eureka
Last year, my friend Amy told me she was moving from writing Leverage to writing Eureka. She asked me if I was interested in playing a scientist who was kind of a jerk. I said "yes" as fast as I could, and ended up playing Doctor Isaac Parrish for seven of the ten episodes in season 4.5. When se...
Oh...you're awesome. I would never treat you or anyone who I watched in movies or on television like that. You're people just like us. There was ONE time I saw an actor, and I am very proud of how I reacted. He was from Alias oh so long ago and was at a child's b-day party. I of course knew who he was and went outside and called my best friend who loved the show as well and squeaked out an excited convo. But I didn't go up to him, not a children's party! That would be awful! I did make my cousin sit somewhat near him though so I could "take her picture" and he was in it too. I think he didn't mind because he knew I knew who he was but I never actually tried to make contact or ruin his afternoon. So, Mr. Wheaton if I ever saw you on the sidewalk I might say: How is that beer making going? And let you walk on by. If you give respect, you get it back!
if you cut me, i will bleed
Pretty much all of Comicon was awesome. However, there was one thing that was decidedly not awesome, and though I had initially decided not to talk about it in public, it's bothered me since it happened, so I wrote about it on G+ earlier today. I'm cross posting it here, though, because it's imp...
EEP! It was SUCH a fantastic episode. Here is how it went down at my house:
A. credits- Will Wheaton! HAZAA! He's back. Was your hair redder in your last episode? It looked darker this episode.
B. STAN LEE! Like THE Stan Lee? Does Stan Lee like Eureka?
C. I love Ms.Day, but I need my Fargo and Claudia
D. I would totally try your slugs, I loved how it "tasted like chicken"
E. Glad Fargo is giving Parrish a second chance. I thought he was prematurely shot down!
F. I cannot WAIT for more Parrish.
PS...Parrish reminded me of Sheldon. I hope if you come back as yourself in Big Bang he wont make fun of you for that. :-D
EUREKA: Glimpse
Last night's Eureka, Glimpse, was my first episode as a non-enraged-by-the-enraginator-device Doctor Parrish. I had completely forgotten about Fargo's commercial for the Astraeus project at the top of the show; when I saw that, the excitement of shooting the entire season came flooding back to m...
The tree makes your skin itch? Itch like crazy? Because I recently moved to the East Coast *from AK* and my allergies have been SO bad and I've been itchy all over. I thought it was a food allergy, but maybe its those damned trees...
this is really gross. you have been warned.
There is a tree near my house, that has probably been there for years, just doing its tree thing, watching patiently as families come and go, empires rise and fall, and Isengard is flooded. I'm sure it's a beautiful tree, cheerfully trading carbon dioxide for oxygen, providing shade, and most li...
