It's unfair for columns to be entered as game stories. If the paper had a game story that day, the column off the game should not be allowed to be entered it was not. ARGUMENTS CAN BE MADE TO THIS EFFECT. THE PROBLEM IS MANY COMPANIES DON'T HAVE 2 PEOPLE AT EVENTS SO THEY SEND COLUMNISTS TO GIVE PERSPECTIVE. IT'S REALLY UP TO THE JUDGES TO SAY WHAT'S OPINION AND WHAT'S A GAME STORY. BUT THERE IS A FLIPSIDE: COLUMNISTS SEEM TO HAVE THEIR WORK IN A LOT OF CATEGORIES, FROM FEATURES TO ENTERPRISE TO GENERAL NEWS. THEY SEEM TO BE ALL OVER THE PLACE. BUT JUDGES NEED TO FOCUS ON THE LETTER OF THE LAW OF WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM EACH CATEGORY. How can their be no category for blogs or other on-line only work? Get with the times. WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE THIS WORK ON AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD. YOU HAVE TO BE MEMBERS OF APSE TO BE IN THE CONTEST. AND TO BE IN APSE, YOU NEED A WEBSITE THAT HAS AT LEAST FIVE EMPLOYEES. WE ALSO ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO JUDGE SOMETHING AND KEEP IT ANONYMOUS. Judging should not be done on site. It's needs to be done electronically by a wider cross-section of judges, not only the APSE regulars who reward each other for participating. ELECTRONICALLY IS GOOD EXCEPT YOU CAN'T DO THAT OBJECTIVELY.

I think tonight's game IS one of the hardest tickets to get. I've had more people ask me about this game than any Magic game in the past 5 years. Even playoff games. I'm not exactly sure why, though. It's a Thursday. It's a regular-season game. It's coming up on the All-Star Break. And, no, I don't have any extra tickets.
