yes yes yes! i have really been feeling it lately. i'm busy at work, busy planning a wedding, and just busy. where has the time gone to relax with some wine and knit?
my fiance has recently started a strenuous diet and workout routine. my role is motivator (tough!) and planner. i cook the meals (SO much chicken, and veggies, and rice, and eggs, and then it starts all over again)...i started to get very stressed with all the cleaning just to keep up with each day. so i took a breath, and made a "to-do" book. I marked each day, and listed just a few things that HAD to be done that day. i feel so satisfied to mark them off, and have gotten into much better routines. i wake up 15 minutes earlier each day, do a quick clean of the kitchen, and get a little bit of exercise in for myself. it has been so satisfying to start the day off right, and end with a clean kitchen. it's not perfect, and i still get stressed, but i try to deal with it in a much more positive way. sometimes i'll even just add "knit 4 rows" or "drink wine" to my list just so i actually DO SOMETHING FOR ME! you are right, we only have one life!!

i have a lot on my plate now. i am not complaining, please don't get me wrong. but i do find myself a bit overwhelmed from time-to-time with all the stuff to be done on any given day. this is one of those times. but something is different. i've been known to turn to food at times like this....
