Don't support/reject a bill based on a company. Actually read the bill. So many people don't even read these bills and then are surprised when they realize they shouldn't have supported it.
Too many people who were burned (like me) will see this as Netflix trying to debrand itself from its price fumble. Reed didn't even really apologize. He's pulling a "high fructose corn syrup" and trying to rebrand his company so we don't associate greed with netflix. Note that the DVD part of the company is getting renamed, not the streaming. The DVD part is what made Netflix a company. It's also the part that costs more. With Redbox getting a larger market share and having a lower cost point, I think it's only a matter of time before Netflix becomes another hulu and their marketability will nosedive.
While waiting for hacking netflix to update their site, you can go to Netflix's website to see the new releases: http://www.netflix.com/AllNewReleases
Bob, most netflix don't mind waiting 28 days for new releases because many of them have other stuff in their queue they watch. If you really want the latest and greatest, yeah, you can go to Blockbuster or purchase the DVD and resell it. Does it suck? Yeah. But not enough for me to do anything about it.
This might not be a bad idea. Google definately has the infrastructure to store massive amounts of data. However, they have been deviating from their "do no evil" mantra. This looks more like a "wait and see" kind of situation.
