Yes, at this point, their is definately no intent - we just plain suck. And quite frankly, even if we are in contention for the first pick over all late in the season, this team will find a way to lose and win the last 4 games. Just like it was noted above, by the end of the game, we can't win - not even at sucking.

I haven't been following the SUCK for LUCK movement very closely, but as a fan of the team, I have a VERY hard time watching the game and rooting for them to lose. The idea that each loss brings us a better chance at a high draft pick certainly eases the pain, but watching and rooting against Miami is not in me. I can't do it. It is like hoping to fall down and break my leg so I can spend the afternoon with the cute nurse in the X-Ray department.

According to the bible, there was nothing wrong with Slavery. In fact, it was the backbone of the economy at the time. The Bible is a book written by men of the period and it is quite obvious. And I made a slight mistake above - I equated being gay with kissing, oral sex, etc. What I failed to stress was that I meant, homosexual activities are just like any heterosexual activities that are done for pleasure. Being Gay, as I also noted, is not a choice, but a preference based on your hormonal balance/inbalance. By birth, some children are slightly out of balance hormonally, which may cause males to have female traits or females to have male traits - like too much/too little facial hair or even being attracted to someone of the same sex.

I cannot believe the intolerance that still exists. First of all, being gay is not something that is learned or taught, gay people are born gay. Obviously, in a world that requires reproduction for us to survive, being gay from a reproductive perspective is being broken. But so is being infertile. Gay or straight, we are all human and deserve the chance to live happily. Secondly, the most rivetting part of this article is the very last line: “No matter who you are, he doesn’t feel he is in a position to condemn anybody. As a Christian, he feels its unchristian to do it.” This is my biggest beef with Catholics and Christians in general (I assume it is people of all religion).. is that they live lives of sin, keep it hush hush, but are the first ones to stand up and condemn any and everyone else that they feel is a sinner. The bible was written by men, interpreting the writings of other men from hundreds of years earlier, interpreting their spiritual experiences. Hello, have you ever played Telephone? I think the spirit of the bible is much more important that the letter of the bible, and in particular, the message from Jesus to welcome others in with love and forgiveness oft gets lost in translation. People are people. Being Gay is not a sin anymore than using a contraceptive is, or having oral sex is, or playing sexually with touch and kisses without penetration. They are all forms of sexual acts that cannot result conception. That is all it is. But what right do you have to condemn others for their personal choices as long as they don't infringe on anyone else's rights? Ugh - I repeat, I can't believe their is so much intolerance in this day and age. When will people stop judging others and take care of their own discressions - or at least, focus their energy on things like murder, rape, slavery, sex trade, etc. - things that are WRONG and must stop.

How about Brunnell because Sanchez handles weiners better than he handles balls. Posted by: odinseye | July 22, 2010 at 12:38 PM LMAO Odinseye!

I agree - Bess will get better as will Hartline...true, but my point is... for Turner to make it on the field, someone has to go. I hope Turner can make it on the field and I predict Camarillo would be the one to go... again, I am ok with this.. given we can't carry 90 players... but his leaving would not be because lack of heart or effort (like Ginn).. he just is too similar to Bess and as a coach, unless we are talking probowler, I don't want to have too many at the same position with the same defficiencies.

Can we really carry 4 QBs? Thigpen would obviously have much more trade value, but really - can we go forward with Pennignton's shoulder and Pat White's...well, Pat White as the backups? If Henne gets hurt, our season would go down the pooper.

DyingBreed - I love their character, heart and the fact that in the last few years, they were almost good enough, given they are completely void of both speed and size.. but I would get rid of both to get a better 3rd and 4th receiver.. I am a fan of the Miami Dolphins - the only player I really would have gone to bat for was Marino.. but my love for Marino, his style, his ability.. is what made me a fan of the Dolphins. Without Marino, I may have been a Pats or Bills fan, as I grew up in Montreal..

I doubt Turner will suddenly burn it up, but would be nice if it clicks enough for him to make the team and play. I love BESS and CAMARILLO, but they are the same guy, different hair cuts. If Turner can bring it and make the team as a 4th receiver, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of my boys go to another team...(PLEASE NOT THE PATS).

11-5 with at least 1 playoff win. I think 2 teams make it out of the AFC east, if not 3... winning the division will come down to those 5 loses... will we have a better division record?

A bit off topic - but I keep hearing how Henne had bad stats the last 3 games... do these people watch football? Sure, his stats were not great, but our defense spotted the other team a ton of points.. and even though we were forced to pass against a pass defense, we had a chance to win those games because of Henne. Sanchez only started "doing better" because they limited his play to hand offs and about 2 passes a series. Sure, his INTs dropped, but Pat White didn't throw many INTs - didn't mean he had a great year. Henne is head and shoulders a better QB with better potential to excel. Period.

Basically, am agreeing with Odin here.. I think the blog yesterday crossed the line from objective reporting to negatively critical. It discounts all the good that has been done and the comeplete disaster we were in the 1-15 season. I think someone said that we need to give the trifecta more time and he asked" Should we have given Cam CaMoron more time?" SERIOUSLY?? Cam was such a bad head coach and that was such a bad draft that almost every player we picked from that year is off the team and none are likely to excel. If we had given him more time, we would be setting records for futility in a non expansion team - risking the demotion into the UFL or CFL! Half the college teams in the nation could have beat our 1-15 team. Anyone that thinks we are spinning our wheels in a big picture view of things is mistaken. Period. Sure, we have a few positions of need that we have been unable to fill - but lets not forget we have a budget and are limited by the players that are available. At least this group is willing to cut their losses and move on..

And by the way, take last year's team and play them against the team from 2008 and I think last year's team wins more than they lose... and I think this year's team will be better yet... so regardless of what our record was, I think we have consistently moved in the right direction. Think about all of those quick fix attempts for over a decade that set us so far back on talent/depth at almost EVERY position. ugh, this blog has been a major buzz kill.

Am thinking we will be better at FS just by getting rid of Wilson. We might not dominate at the position, but we have some guys with cover skills that can step in... plus, if our LBs can provide better coverage, that shortens up the FS responsibilities and allows him to concentrate on a smaller portion of field. also, with our CBs getting more experience, he can stop bitting as quickly on the pump fakes and can spend more time making sure no one gets past him. Finally, if our pass rush is more consistent, it shortens the play time and further enhances our chances at making a play in the secondary. I think with the defensive additions and with Nolan's more aggressive style, our defense will be MUCH improved, even at the FS position.. dare I say it - even if Wilson had remained (but am SO glad he is gone!)

I would say that some people need to acquaint themselves with something called "common sense". As noted, there is no way coach will throw anyone under the bus at this point, unless he is already prepared to dump the kid. What benefit can be had at saying,"Our first round pick sucks. I hope he can step it up" Not only that, but how much can you really learn about a player based on what they did this weekend. They have SO much to learn plus have to show what they have in real practices and then pre-season games before coach can have enough on them to make fair assessments.. again, unless they are so crap that coach is going to cut them early.. I mean, it wouldn't take months to prove I shouldn't be on the team ;)
