Never said they had the worst situation in the world, so I never contracticted myself. All I said was that being without a job does not mean that everyone in the world has to quit complaining about losing money. These people getting paycuts have a right to complain.
Tell me something - if those that are looking for work actually had a 80k a year steady job.. and found out they would be losing $1300 bucks a month, do you think they would be jumping for joy?

And I meant - some people. I don't mean to use one brush to paint all in the same light..

I'd like to start by telling everyone who is whinning about low paying jobs and about not having a job to keep it to yourself. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but ANYONE who suddenly loses 10 to 20% of their salary will be upset.
And saying "I wish I had a job - its better than nothing I get.." I mean really, why are people so self centered.
Don't compare your current situation to their situation... that approach is flawed because their are almost 7 billion people in this world and I can safely say that you do not have the roughest life... so hold back on the woe is me.
2 weeks ago, they were making 10 to 20% more than they will be making going forward.. because of millionaires and billionaires not being able to sort out a split on 9Bn dollars. I would be F'n pissed too! People who make that much usually have a budget - car payments, mortgages, child care, etc.. those don't just go away too...
ugh, why am I bothering... people are so self involved they will completely miss my point.

Thanks - I had not considered they could get a second for only a few spot move. While it absolutely depends on who is on the board and all that, i really hope Miami can swing a deal to get a 2nd back. Two in the first two rounds is definately better than 1.
You don't often get playmakers in the 7th round - and boy do we need a few playmakers!

New week so let me tell you the newsy tidbit first: The Dolphins are hosting a visit from West Virginia inside linebacker J.T. Thomas, according to the National Football Post. Count him among the half-dozen or so inside linebackers the team has shown considerable interest in since the interview ...
Hey Armando - hope this finds you well!
We keep talking about Miami wanting to trade back from 15 to get a 2nd rounder. Obviously, that is a dance for two. Can you discuss some more plausible trade partners who have late 1st rounds picks that might want to trade up?
As Peter king noted in his MMQB this morning, those late rounders might have a sweet deals to trade back themselves.
Thanks

Yes, fast is a definate must. Fast is dynamic, fast is exciting... but fast needs to have football toughness. We don't want another Ted Ginn Jr.
Ireland: Big is good, big and fast is better, and fast is a must
You know the Dolphins are a team lacking dynamic speed. They need plays that eat up yardage and the fastest way to get those on offense and special teams is to get, well, faster. That is why the Dolphins will go into the draft and free agency looking for fast guys. But fast guys, you must know, ...
As per Darlington, they may not have had an official Dolphins to Cowher discussion, but they did show interest and did reach out. Cowher wasn't comfortable talking about a job that was still filled.
Saying that no one talked to him is now delving in the realm of semantics, and given the light this team has been under this week, I would have rathered he erred on the side of full disclosure. Seems like another attempt at concealing something for the sake of concealing something.
Anyhow, I think keeping Sparano is good as long as:
1. They get a new OC and QB Coach
2. They get more aggresive on Offense
3. But to do 2 effectively, they need better QB play and more speed at WR and RB
A couple of suggestions for Saturday's meeting
Let's face it, everything that is about to happen starting at noon on Saturday is window dressing. The script has been finalized. The actors have studied their lines. The public relations department has supplied the right-sounding spin to possible tough questions. And when the lights come on, th...
the thing that bothers me about this is:
1. If they never talked to Gruden/Cower and had no intention to, why not say so? Because they would have to have follow up discussions RE Harbaugh?
Just seems fishy that the media were so off on so many levels. And if they didnt do all that, why would Tony need to be appeased with an extension?

Negotiations with Tony Sparano hit a significant snag
The Dolphins have a coach under contract at this hour. But they don't necessarily have a coach. The negotiations I wrote about in the previous entry on this blog were apparently going fairly well around 3:30 this afternoon when the Dolphins decided to call a media roundtable for 4:45 p.m. to dis...

This is friggin hilarious. If this were the Jets I would be happier than a pig in poop.
Unfortunately, these are our Miami Dolphins.

I know it is a run play, but there is something I hate about taking henne out on second down for a wildcat, only to give him 3rd down with one play to make a first..

Niagara Falls is beautiful. I love being in the area, just to hear the falls. I can do without the gimmicky stuff on the Canadian side (wax museum, etc.)... but love the falls.
