Wil, People mobbed Johnny Depp where ever he went and had meet and greets and hardly posed with fans and signed some autographs. To Christian Bale's delight the media focused on Johnny Depp instead of Christian Bale. Christian was able to enjoy exploring WI while filming his scenes for Public Enemies in 2008. After a long day of filming Christian Bale took the time to come out in a black SUV at 10pm (5-5-08 in Madison at the State Capitol) and sign autographs for his fans. I found out that he actually was surprised anybody was there for him. Pretty much all of the media coverage was about Johnny Depp, because he played lead character. Christian as always was happy the media spotlight wasn't on him. Christian even would spell the names back to make sure he wrote it correctly. It was a dream come true finally meet him in person (I had wanted to meet him since he was in Newsies in 1992.) I was the only one who had two 8x10 black and white photos for him to sign to me (not just his name) and my friend who had to leave. He still had his makeup and costume on at the end of filming and still came out to sign autographes. The only ones that are crazy are the ones that shove photos in celebrites faces are the ones that want to make money in auctioning or selling them on EBAY. The greedy jerkoffs. They should be ashamed of themselves for their treatment of celebrities to make money off the autographs. I was just glad that Christian even though he must of been exhausted to come out and sign for fan of his after a long exhausting day of filming.

That movie became my favorite the moment I saw it in 1987. That must be the first take that wasn't used in the movie. LOL. "Vern move your *ss man!"-Chris Chambers. Wil that is also the movie I became a fan of yours. Congrats to 25 years of an awesome movie that whenever I hear the songs from that movie I think of it with cherished memories. "I cherish these moments."-Teddy "Gordie go get the provishions you moraphadite."-Teddy "Don't call me none of your mom's pet names."-Gordie. LOL.

Stand by Me is the movie that I became a Wil Wheaton fan. Why? Oh must of been those doe eyes and the sweet smile, not to mention the emotions you felt as Gordie. Anyway I saw that movie in 1986 and fell in love with it. People don't like to watch the movie with me, because I can recite all the lines in the movie I have seen it so many times. I actually have the special edition dvd with the music video and featurette. Once in awhile I'll pull out the dvd and watch it. How ironic that the end has River's character Chris walking away and he disapears! Like he's gone forever. Stand by Me will always be a gem of the 80's. They don't make movies like they did back in the day now. I'm sure there are some today, but not like back in the day. (I'm talking about before 2000)Nope, there are some movies that are in a class of themselves. Wil what do you think of the remakes of movies we loved in the 80's? I think directors shouldn't remake such great movies that we grew up watching. What do you think? It was nice to read such a great reunion you had. I think if the monster hadn't grabbed River and gave him the deadly kiss of death he would of been even greater of an actor than he was when he was alive before. You and a lot of child actors managed to escape the monster. Corey managed to escape barely, but of course there are the others that didn't. Thank you for the beautiful writing of your reunion with Jerry and the others.

Like, that was so great to read. Ryan and Nolan are so lucky to have you and you are so lucky to have them in your life. Cherish all the precious moments you have with them Wil. You maybe only a stepfather, but you raised them as if they are your own and I think deep down they know that you do what you had to to protect them from danger. At least you didn't get the roll of the eyes when you kissed him on the head and told him that you loved him. LOL. Right?

Awesome bowling shirt Wil! I love the name too. Like I tell everyone who has teenagers. Cherish every little time you have with them, because before you know it, they will be adults going off in the world to make their mark and will have busy lives. LOL. I'm sure that's not too far off with Ryan and Nolan right?

There are just cult classic movies you adore just are not meant to be seen edited out on tv. Right?
Yeah he says that but all the swear words are either changed or edited out (which means if you have the closed caption on you see a "EDIT" in it) It really depends on what channel is showing them too, because it's worse if it's on regular tv I noticed. I know that the following quote from The Lost Boys gets edited like crap "You're a god-damn shit sucking vampire, oh you wait til mom gets home!" If it's in there at all they will edit it out so it's "You're a edit edit sucking vampire, oh wait til mom get home!" It annoys the crap out of me and kinda ruins watching my all time favorite movies on tv. Too much censor going on.

Actually Wil there are 4 movies I try not to watch on tv because of the way they are edited and they are The Goonies, The Lost Boys,Stand By Me and The Monster Squad. If I do catch them on tv and since I pretty much know these movies by heart, I just recite the missing parts in my head. LOL. The 3 I mentioned are in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

It gets better as time goes by, but of course there is the wave of sadness that washes over and then it's over as soon as it started. Even after 2 years of losing my 17 year old Charlie, I sometimes stop and think about funny things he would do when I was sad, depressed or even in pain and then I have to smile, because it was something precious that I will never experience again with him. Hang in there Wil and remember the good times and even the crazy times you had with Ferris and cherish those memories. If you and Anne have to hold each other and weep for Ferris, go for it. Ferris came into your lives for a reason and a purpose and it was time for her to leave. You gave Ferris something special when you brought her into your home. We're here for you.

When I had to put Charlie to sleep, I cried for 2 weeks straight and then on and off for the next couple of months. It's been 2 years and still occationally something will trigger it and I'll be crying nonstop. It would take will power to stop and then of course it would happen again without warning. You gave Ferris something wonderful when you took her in and she gave you something back. Uncontional love. It gets better, it just takes time. If you need to cry do it, don't hold back the tears. Remember one thing. "Time heals all wounds."

I'm only commenting again, because I forgot to put this in my last comment. Sorry. I left a post about Ferris at my livejournal here: http://newsie--nympho.livejournal.com/ It's a whole post about Ferris and my cat Charlie. God bless you Wil and your family for rescuing Ferris and giving him a chance at a life of love and happiness.

Oh Wil I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my precious cat Charlie two years ago. He was 17 years old and I had him for 16 years. I had to put him to sleep, because it was time for him to go, but I still miss and it's been 2 years. I feel the emptiness still, but it gets better as time goes by. You know I wanted to tell you that Ferris came into your life as a precious soul. He knows you all loved him and that his time with you was for a reason. Charlie was rescued from a shelter and he was the best cat I could of loved. I know I will never find another cat like Charlie, but my heart is open to love another one someday. Just not now, I don't know if I could handle it. So farewell Ferris, you sweet soul and may you watch over the Wheaton family from above.

Wil, It was Stand By Me that I became a fan of yours. Those doe eyes and that sweet caring nature. Stand By Me will always be one of my most favorite movies of all time. Thing is nobody likes to watch it with me, cause I can recite every single word in the movie. Of course I have my favorite quotes from the movie. I didn't become a fan of Jerry's until he did the show MY SECRET IDENTITY and the first time I watched that I couldn't believe he was the "Fat kid" in Stand By Me. I do have all four seasons of Sliders on DVD and was sad when he left the show, but Wil I became a fan of yours first and I totally love that photo of you all in the green room. Thanks for sharing this precious memory Wil.

Will I'm a Democrat and I only started to vote last year. I'm so happy that Obama won. Like alot of Democrats we felt what you felt everyday living here. We need to get our troops out and back home with their families. Obama has alot to clean up because of Bush. Obama is gonna have his work cut out for him, but I feel that he will be a great president. I'm so happy that he got elected. I feel like making a t-shirt that says something like. "I'm a Democrat and proud of it."

I will be watching closely so I can catch when you are on the show. I don't watch the show, but I will be watching when you are on of course. Getting a chance to see you on tv is a big treat for us fans. So congratulations on getting the role! I can't wait to see you on there. I'm glad they went with you for the job. I miss you on the tv and on the big screen. I have been a fan since 1986.
