Yes, Squam (pronounced Skwom). Over the years the name has evolved from its Native Abenaki name, Keeseenunknipee, to Squam, as we use today. In between those names you could also find Wonnassquamauke, Casumpe, and Asquam (the Abenaki name for ‘water’).
