NBA Store selling OKC "Beat the Heat" shirts
We've been counted-out. Again. NBA Store now has OKC "Beat the Heat" shirts for sale. h/t to Kim S.
Awesome, and precious.
This is what makes the Celtics at another level: you have a story behind you, you have a future ahead.
Video: Celtics fans chant "Let's Go Celtics" for four straight minutes
One thing to notice, the chant nearly tailed off a couple of times, but some group somewhere stepped up and kept it going. Very nice moment, Celtics fans. Nicely done.
Thanks Lee, I'll do it for sure!
But let's stay quiet, guys: game 6 will be a war, and nothing is granted. As we say here, "don't try sell the bear skin before the bear is dead..".
Go Celtics!
Celtics win the craziest F'ing playoff game I've ever seen, 1 win from returning to Finals
Do you know what just happened? Does anyone? I'll repeat what I said on Twitter earlier during the game. I've never seen a team so close in a basketball game but teeter so close to total collapse like the Celtics did all night. They had a million chances to fold, and it looked like they'd t...
Man, I just can't believe it! This is crazy, I have no words to describe how happy I am!!!
It's a dream coming true, let's get it done on thursday.
Could not watch the game (it's the playoffs first that I miss) because here in Italy it starts at 2.30 am every time.. let's see what will happen tomorrow in the WCF: if OKC wins, well.. these are twin series!
Right now it's how it feels to be the Green, old underdog; beautiful..! :)

I'm so f„Ω€œ∂g proud of my beloved Celtics!
But guess what, for NO reason whatsoever I had a flash watching these series: LBJ will wear Celtics green sooner or later..! (dunno if you like it or not, just saying..).
Corinne Grousbeck > Micky Arison
How awesome is Wyc's wife Corinne? She tweeted out this photo from last night's game. Meanwhile, Heat owner Micky Arison is busy complaining about the Garden floor. Corinne Grousbeck FTW. Photo: Lisa Wan
Agree.
It was a joke, from the commentaries to the refs. This is pure garbage like the one it stole away my interest from italian soccer.
Recap: Sometimes grit and balls isn't enough
An epic performance by Rajon Rondo and a tremendous "grit and balls" effort by the Celtics tonight was marred by wretched officiating. I didn't want to bitch about the officials. The game was too good. But I can't stomach the bias. Just look at the photo. With the game tied at 105 in overtime...
I hate the Heat.
They just became the perfect NBA product selling for David Stern, so LeBitch and Sade can do WHATEVER they want on the court, from harassing opponents to making spectacular plays. Well directed officiating assists them on their purpose.
THAT SAID, the Celtics have showed power and horses to win...one game in these series. Maybe. Not more, because the Heat are younger, stronger and they have lots of quality, and if you don't run how much they run, they're gonna score on you like that.
The game went EXACTLY like how I expected, unfortunately..
Recap: 12 good minutes won't cut it vs Miami
Fueled by a 35-point outburst in the 2nd quarter, the Celtics had us all believing at halftime that a Game 1 victory was possible. But faith quickly dissolved into disgust as the Celtics offense collapsed returned to form in the 2nd half. The end result: a 93-79 Heat victory. Rajon Rondo (16 p...
Nothing to add to your recap. Everybody was atrocious. I always expect Rondo to step up when his teammates can't score, and take his game on another level if he wants to be a real leader for this team in the future. Forget it.
Players were bad, coaching was obscene: Doc is really making a lot of mistakes in these playoffs, way too many.
At this point, I wonder what's the meaning of trying to win the series. To go where?
Recap: Game 6 was an epic fail
I've been watching the Celtics for some 30 years and tonight may have been one of the worst performances I've witnessed. The Sixers played mediocre basketball and beat the Celtics, 82-75. The Celtics were... abominable, alarming, appalling, atrocious, deplorable, depressing, dire, disgusting, ...
Rondo can't or doesn't want to shoot the ball. Let's keep it to the assist and other stuff.
Rajon Rondo: Better than Dirk at midange shooting
..... from one very specific spot on the floor. More specifically, this very specific spot on the floor: This all comes to us via Deadspin Just in case this needs explaining, think of this is as a weather map. The red means you're hot from this spot on the floor, the blue means you're cold, ...
there aren't so many red zones.. ;)

very true.
Your Morning Dump... where the players and Doc each share responsibility
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “Once they picked up their intensity, I didn’t think we really played with a sense of urgency in the third or fourth quar...
Happy birthday KG, I love you as much as so many opposite fans hate you!
Happy Birthday KG
He came into the NBA, straight out of high school in 1995. Since then, Kevin Maurice Garnett has racked up an NBA championship ring, an MVP trophy, 14 all-star selections, a defensive player of the year award and many more accolades. Love him or hate him, you cannot deny his impact on the NBA an...
Only KG and Ray showed up last night, Pierce and Doc killed us.
I think we lost the game in the third (the worst, crappy piece of basketball I've ever seen): Pierce was a shame to watch, and Doc let him in the game almost all quarter. The 76ers didn't go by 20 just because they were shooting poorly as well.
And then, in the fourth, all the mad stuff you already talked about. Plus a dumb substitution of a come-to-life Pietrus with a dead Pierce, plus the dumb plays by Rondo, plus the dumb possessions in the stretch.
It was an horror movie, literally.
Recap: Crappy effort, putrid execution dooms Celtics
Remember everything positive we said about the Celtics following the Game 1 victory? I guess it applies to Philadelphia now. The 76ers made the smart, clutch plays down the stretch to beat the Celtics 82-81 in Game 2. Spare me the bitching about the illegal screen whistle on Kevin Garnett with...
Agree.
My man KG, he's the most important player of this team. God bless him!
Hawks choke late, Celtics move on behind throwback Garnett
The 2012 series between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks, which may go down as one of the ugliest series in NBA history, came to a close tonight as the Boston Celtics defeated the Hawks in a squeeker. The Celtics will now move on to face the Philadelphia 76ers starting this Monday, but be...
We're gonna win this series 4-2, just relax everybody..
Recap: Hawks eke out a win
That was a roller coaster game. The Celtics led big. The Hawks led big. Each team made runs over the final 15 minutes that had you thinking "we got this!" When the dust settled, the Celtics had the ball with 10 seconds remaining and a chance to win it... but Rajon Rondo coughed up the ball. T...
Who wrote this post? A Lakers fan?
This is garbage. A long post full of hate toward a player who has been on of the biggest surprises of the season, a player who simply helped us a lot to get here.
Last year banging on KG antics, this year sanctifying every single Rondo play, and now this Bass-hate post out of the blue..
bah.
Go Bass, go Celtics!
Bass floundering under spotlight of playoffs
Brandon Bass should be sending thank you cards to Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce for stealing the spotlight after the first two games of their playoff series, and in turn taking the heat off of himself. The reality is that since the playoffs began (and even late in the regular season) Bass has se...
No big news.
He's been suspended like expected, CoachBo goes hard on him and Paul is the Rondo Lone and Extreme defender.
The truth is, we put ourselves in a freakin' hole.. Damn.. :/
Report: Rajon Rondo suspended for Game 2
The only surprise here is that WCVB reporter Mike Dowling is the first to break the news.
At least I'm not an ignorant person who has to insult other people to express his own opinion.
Rose injures knee in Game 1 win over Philadelphia
Derrick Rose suffered a scary injury to his left knee in Chicago's game 1 win over the Philadelphia 76'ers. With 1:10 left in a double-digit game and Rose a rebound and assist away from a triple-double, Rose came to a jump stop and his left knee buckled. He laid on the floor for a few minute...
I was watching the game, I felt really sorry for the kid.
But the truth is: nobody gives a damn about Mr. Nobody Shumpert, as you can read in these comments. To me it's not just casualty that people are going down: this crazy 66 game stretch conceived by NBA and David Stern to sell the product anyhow is starting to weight on players' shoulders. And on the product shoulders.

Agree, resting guys in Atl match was right. I'm still pissed at the Spurs game lost by one after a hideous turnover conceived by Rondo and KG, and I'm still mad at my heroes if I think again about the Detroit and the Toronto games.
But that was that, the time is now: go, my beloved Celtics!!!!!!
Your Morning Dump... Where the Celtics earned the road
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “Well, we’d rather not, honestly,’’ Rivers said of opening on the road. “It would have been easier to open up at home but we’r...
Metta World Elbow.
What a joke. Thinking HE nailed a crucial three-pointer in the 2010 Finals, it still makes me sick..
Ron Artest floors James Harden with vicious elbow
Ron Artest deserves a hefty suspension for this despicable act. I'm thinking 10 games. Maybe more, considering his history of violence. What do you think? Update: Here's the statement Artest issued to the media: "During that play I just dunked on (Kevin) Durantand (Serge) Ibaka and I got reall...
He probably spoke too much already.
Sean Williams likes Boston
“I like Boston,” he said. “In the league you get to know everybody pretty well. I played summer ball with some of the guys, and I played with Keyon (Dooling) in New Jersey. Just try to come in and get to know everybody, get a feel for them, and hopefully they get a feel for you. I’ve talked to a...
You have a real problem, get some help.
Comments like this really lower the general level of this blog.
Recap: Celtics toy with Bobcats
Even without Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, the Celtics were too good tonight for the Charlotte Bobcats. The C's won it, 94-82. Avery Bradley (22 points, 9-14 FG, 2-3 3 FG) has my undying faith. When he takes pull-up jumpers on the break, or spots up in the corner for 3, I fully expe...
I thought they were done with this crap, it was just embarrassing.
Is Toronto so nice to hang around? Because every time Celtics travel there, it seems to be for a holiday.
We know C's can't be the arrogant, lazy team that played last night, but they can't be the perfect basketball machine like the one that won in Miami either. So it's a good team that has to play his ass off every night in order to make up for the atrocious beginning of this regular season.
I hope Rondo is done with the statistics bs, so he can get back to play and shoot whenever it's time to shoot.
Oh, and by the way: did they check next week schedule?
Recap: Raptors see opportunity and pounce
The Celtics fall to the lowly Raptors tonight, 84-79 in Toronto. An extremely frustrating loss. The C's were up by 13 points about halfway through the 2nd after a Ryan Hollins free-throw made it 30-17. Then they virtually disappeared. They did what we've seen them do in p...
